My bf came to visit me from Quebec for the first time a few summers ago. He suggested that we shop for ingredients for hot chicken sandwiches and I said I can’t do spicy food. He goes “hot chicken sandwiches aren’t spicy.” That’s how I found out the difference between a Canadian hot chicken sandwich and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. He was also astounded that we don’t have hot chicken sauce which I thought was funny :)

Strangely enough has a Québecer i found out nashville hot chicken was a thing like 3 years ago, at 8:08 I think that the north dakota "hot beef sandwich" must have been influence by our hot chicken sandwich, or vice versa. Even more because we share a border with them. Our hot chicken is often serve with fries or mash potato too. Strangely similar dish!!

Yes... the sandwich they claim for Colorado, I’ve never heard of. And it does not sound like something I’d want to eat more than once (if that)... and even then, only a fraction of the sandwich they showed. And considering Colorado is consistently one of the healthiest states, I do not see this being something that most people here eat.

I have lived in Eastern Idaho almost all my life. I have NEVER, EVER heard of the PB & Huckleberry J as "Idaho's Favorite Sandwich". I must admit, other states have a "cuisine". Being famous for potatoes, Idaho is famous for a SIDE DISH. Sandwiches may not be our thing, but potato bread is a thing. Also, adding potatoes to a raised donut dough makes it so light and fluffy - Spudnuts can't be beat!!!!

I'm from New England but a New Orleans Po' Boy from Parkway Bakery was still one of the best meals of my life. Also agree that Bahn Mi is a top sandwich, although its popular anywhere with Vietnamese immigrants, not just Washington. Lobster rolls taste great but they're super overrated, because lobster is so good already, putting it on a roll and calling it a new dish is cheating and adds nothing to the experience. Just eat a damn lobster and be happy.
