Quite the opposite, actually: Willian cannot make involuntary facial expressions, due to trauma I think, so when his face morphs by itself, that's because Lila's behind the wheel. I think it's a nice subversion, having the neurodovergent be the innocent human victim and the neuropypical be the evil monster.

Mat, download Daemon and turn it on at the same time as Who's Lila. You'll be in for a treat. Also, grab the key to Tanya's locker in the kitchen. Also, each time you enter a classroom, it's a different room, and you can check the room number before going in. There are some... interesting dialogues you might wanna hear.
P/S: you can change the palette in the options menu. Also pretending and causing drama seems to be "Lila's" favorite activities. When you were questioning the girl for Martha's classroom, make a sad face when asked "why do you want to know" for example. Pay attention to who's talking, especially yourself. That might give more hints about who Lila is.

@@test4O4 I tried to not speak about the outcome to prevent it from becoming spoilery. Tho I admit it's kinda frustrating that MatPat didn't use Daemon despite being given the link last episode so I made the suggestion too specific.

If it makes Ash feel better, a ladybug once landed on my arm in a grocery store, when I was about 8. It left a trail of tiny poop on my arm and flew away.
I would to see a GTLive where it is just Mat Mat and Ash having a conversation the whole time.
It wasn't entirely that, but the recent one they did where MatPat play that _FNaF_ fan game _Chomper's something-or-other_ wasn't entirely that, but it had a lot of it. Might be worth a watch if you haven't already.

5:50 With the advent of social platforms and their ability to allow people to frequently speak their mind, I think it has lead to more people believing what they have to say matters or will be funny. Which very well might be the case, they just also forget maybe that they are paying for a show/experience that heavily relies on staying on timing.
FYI: Around the 40min mark, you received the flywheel to a steam engine. It's what converts the linear motion of the piston into angular motion so you can drive machinery.
Don't forget that the "increase" in people acting out in public is also subject to it being reported on by news media. The news regularly gives a stage for the smallest portions of society to act out on, and then make it seem like those voices/people represent way more of society than they do in reality. In exchange, that news also gets similar amounts of attention.
This is such a unique game, one of the weirdest I've seen for sure. As far as theorizing, my brain's already melting from the overall _weirdness_ of it, so maybe I'll let it sit for a bit.
i think as for the banter topic, its a mix of them being younger AND covid happening. the younger kids are the more covid has been affecting their social interactions; specifically for kids going to see a youtuber live (who maybe have never been to a live show and have only really experienced live events through the internet where more audience interaction is common) they might just not know proper etiquette and revert to what theyve been used to for the past 2 years
Yeah they missed out on the whole gradual initiation stage of going to your first social gatherings, making a fool of yourself and learning how to behave in public spaces. So now they're all catching up at once, sounds like pure chaos.

To comment on the conversation about public behavior changing after Covid:
I saw The Batman in theater and had the worst experience with many groups of people talking throughout the entire movie and people with their phones out the whole time and rough housing in the seats. The guy next to me commented and joked loudly about everything as though he were streaming the movie in his living room. I asked him to stop talking because it was actually difficult to hear the dialogue over him and he just kept talking. It seems like manners and theater etiquette has gone out the window since we've been allowed back into theaters. It hasn't just been one time that this has happened either. Like you're not watching the movie at home anymore. Keep the thoughts to yourself until after the movie is over.
Has anyone else noticed a change in theater etiquette or lack thereof lately? Has it impacted whether you want to pay to go to the theater?
i havent had the chance to go the the movies in a while, but i went in 2021 and everyone was pretty chill. that may have changed since then though

I went to the first show Ethan did here in Canada, in Toronto. We had a lot of people interrupting him in the way you described too but he took it in STRIDE the whole time which I applaud. Amazing show though, so funny.

im really glad mirror mat talked about concert ettiquette because i went to the imagine dragons concert in edmonton this week and there were lots of really young kids (i’m talking elementary school kids) and wow were some of them rude! it was mostly the people behind me, complaining whenever the band was explaining the story behind the sadder songs/ones with a deeper meaning, and totally trashing the band that opened up. it was weird compared to precovid concerts ive been to.
Maybe it is a covid thing for people around the 12-16 year old range?

Love the indie horror vibe you got going. You should check out The Cube by Rusty Lake. I've seen it recommended from the subreddit and it is quite the creepy game. The lore seems really deep and I would love to see your take on it. Could be a great video for GT Live.
The Rusty Lake games are such a trip. The Cube series is so bizarre, but very worth diving into. 10/10 for point and click puzzle escape room-type games.

I think Mirror Matt just started getting really comfortable and vibing during GT live so I don't get the impression that he would even want to move on at this point. They used to have 2 people off camera and 2 on the couch for ages before it was only MatPat and Matt. So I think they just expanded the team a bit and it took them a while to find the right person.

Okay I was literally just having a conversation with my mom about how most kids in my generation don’t understand where the time and place to say anything that comes to mind is appropriate. In my theater department at my high school, the post rehearsal notes take twice as long because as the director is giving notes everyone is calling out their own jokes or just trying to be funny. It’s as if kids have become desensitized to other peoples conversations that even during instructional periods kids will have full blown loud conversation over the teacher. I never really saw it normalized until COVID and it feels like the quarantine has let my generation forget social respect and how they actually effect things and people around them. Glad to hear Matpat, ash, and mirror Matt talk about it in the always wonderful witty banter.

i relate to ashe so much. when i was 13 i stepped on a snail while barefoot and im 22 now and lowkey still not over it. i cried so hard i almost threw up and the crunch followed by a squelch mildly traumatized me lol
i absolutely adore how each ending is associated with a different major arcana card. "the empress" "justice" "wheel of fortune." i wouldnt be surprised to see a "the fool" ending

this is one of the few times ive actually felt engaged with the witty banter section, because they are so right- shows since covid have been chaos if they arent 21+, and unless you are in the raver/concertgoer community, you totally miss the basic rules of going to an event that are generally unspoken. its frustrating because you cant correct it in the moment, but it affects everyone around these people who are socially inept in these scenarios.

I don't even really watch these for the games, I watch these for the commentary and random discussions between MatPat and whoever is in the room with him. Game is... ehh, alright. MatPat going off about the Zodiak? Priceless.
He just made sure to make pleasing voice synthesizers for them and made Ash have one of the most pleasing laughs I have ever heard. I can not explain it, it's not even weird pleasing, it's just like an "I would want to befriend this person because they are very giggly and nice". I can't describe this in a nonweird sounding way I feel like.

I was a Witty Banter hater at first but now that we have this great dynamic between Mat, MirrorMat, and Ash it's so generally entertaining. Extremely well done GTLive thank you; your videos have been getting me through a really really terrible beginning of this year.

With regards to the banter topic, I work in retail and lately I've noticed an uptick in visitors to my store that just don't know how to behave in a store.
Like, people butting in and trying to take employee's attention away from other customers. A few weeks ago I had guy come in with a broomstick that he'd try to swing around like a bo staff, he claimed he was the 47th Ronin and asked if we accepted wire transfers.
Today I had someone drive up on the sidewalk and pull up so close that their car set off the automatic doors. I don't even know how he got his car up there; there are bollards to prevent that exact thing from happening.
And it's probably just a coincidence, but a lot more people are wandering into the store while under the influence, either reeking of booze or pot and just fumbling around with product, causing trouble or trying to shoplift.
I think a lot of people have just plain forgotten how to behave in public. Or who knows, maybe my store got lots of weirdos in the before times and I simply just don't remember very well. Two years is a long time, and my memory is trash.

Just wanted to add my thoughts on their discussion with certain behaviors in public spaces and events. I also agree that it seems likely that it’s mostly a generational thing, especially considering the environment younger generations are growing up in and are exposed to, but I think the post-Covid aspect of it still holds up. Kids and teens who have been trapped in their own homes and have had limited social interactions with peers or being in social events can have an effect on how they behave and interact in these circumstances. While this is true for anyone at any point in their lives as Covid has affected everyone around the world, there is a particular effect on kids and teens, especially since these are formative years of an individual’s life.
