Speedy didn’t “move” like a running back. He was fast, but he didn’t have the lateral quickness nor did he have a running back build. Would’ve had a better chance at corner

Kevin Sumlin inherited J manziel lived on cloud 9 for 2 years and then miss handled so many talented players in that program!! Kyle Allen, Kyler Murry, Speedy noil, and Kenny Hill just to name the standouts but you get what I'm saying
He got lucky he had Case Keenum at UH when he was coaching there too.
At least Kyle Allen went on to play for Carolina Panthers and beat the New Orleans

Guy way a 5 star & chose A&M because johnny had A&M popping. With their system its a spread offense with 5 wrs so not to many targets plus QBs struggled
There must be hundreds of "Speedy's", perhaps thousands, that are his size and ability WITH better 40 times and burst that NEVER get past top-tier, DI BENCH-mode. In other words, dudes like Speedy are a dime a dozen. They are blessed with physical gifts most can only dream about, but when you get to the upper echelons of DI talent, you may have been beastin' in HS, but now you're just another "athlete" without true position-specific skills because you were SO dominant in HS they had you playing all over the field. That to me is NOT in the best interest of kids like Speedy. I understand the coaches mentality of using your best player to your team's advantage but is a huge disservice to a special athlete like a Speedy. Not sure of his work ethic, but had he been groomed for a specific skill position, perhaps his career would've been better?

As an Aggie, I can tell you that his problem was that he was just never a good football player. He was just a great athlete. Not that Kevin Sumlin was a great coach or anything, but we had plenty of receivers that ended up outperforming him

What up Flem? Long time viewer/subscriber, not much of a commenter. In one of those pics, maybe a mugshot, he looks like he realizes the gravity of his situation. Maybe it's just me but I see realization and regret, determination and focus. I could be way off but I hope he gets it together and makes his way to the league. If he lands with the right team and is worth it, they'll "make" a position for him. My Bears tried to do that with Hester, (failed horribly), they're doing it with Cohen, (although not to the same extent), and the saints are doing it with T. Hill.
