- 2016 Palomino Backpack SS1240 Ultra Lite Pop Up Truck Camper. Has fixed toilet with black water holding tank. Designed for 6'6" or 8' box on full size 1/2 ton trucks or bigger. Now in stoc @ Camp-Out RV in Stratford.
I would definitely modified the bathroom area into a curtained wet bath.

I have seen where a RM Hawk 6 footer was installed on a 5.8 short bed GMC. Is that possible with the Palomino you showed? Thank you.
This camper is designed for a 6'6" or 8' box. The center of gravity would be behind the axle on a 5'8" box.

Hey pop up truck camper owners 2001 Fleetwood Elkhorn 9K owner here. How are the pop ups in cold weather. I like my camper to be kept at 75-80 degrees while we travel. Can you do that in a pop up?
Nice unit but a shower in the wet bath would be great.
This model only has the toilet, but it is equipped with an outside shower.

Unfortunately we do not have access to one that would work in a Chevy Avalanche. I don't know of any in the market that will work with one.

This model is designed for a full size pickup with 6'6" or 8' box. It requires a minimum 47" between the wheel wells.
Most full size half ton trucks have 48" between the wheel wells. If your truck bed has these measurements then yes it will fit.

I love these pop up campers. My question is why don't the pop up campers have the full door like the pop up trailers? That's the only draw back for me to commit.

When you hold your phone with one hand and film yourself, it really makes for a shitty video. It would be much improved if you used a tripod or had an assistant film you while you demo.
