    Like the weight, and that it’s more feasible for a 3/4 ton short bed that would still want to tow something. Love the molded fiberglass trim features and all the additional features for this price range in comparison to the much desired Lance for more than twice the price at a similar brand. Been looking at Lance brands for weeks, this has me RE-thinking.

    On an 8ft long bed would you still be able to close the tailgate?

    Great. Mount the stereo where my feet can destroy it while I sleep.

    This is not very well designed. Why not put a sink in there instead of a salad bowl. And no sink in the bathroom. The first time I sleep in that bed the stereo is toast.

    DVD player, in case you want to watch a movie in 1996.

      a lot of older people buy RV's and truck campers. older people LIKE CD's as they are easy to carry and don't require a satellite communication system to use. i have scores of movies and TV shows on CD's. they all work great. i did a combat tour in Iraq in 2005-06 and we would try to have a "movie night" every once in a while where soldiers would bring different movies. you can play a CD on a battery powered player the size of a small box of tissues and hook it up to a TV with a simple patch cord. if you are in a combat zone or out in the woods camping, "simple" devices are ALWAYS preferable.

      @Niskibum Před 4 lety +2

      @@jimharvard blu-ray players will play DVDs, but DVD players will not play blu-ray. Blu-ray discs are just as easy to carry as a DVD, and just as "simple", it is just the current format, and superior to DVD. DVD is 15 year old technology, and should not be standard equipment on any new camper. Would you want your new camper to have an 8 track player in it?

    • @jimharvard
      @jimharvard Před 4 lety +1

      @@Niskibum i don't have any problem with a blu-ray player that will play old CD's. the point i was trying to make is that lots of us older folks have tons of CD's for music and movies and TV shows. that technology still works just fine. i could state a number of reasons why i don't "stream" movies or "download" stuff to some computer or laptop. give me a box of CD's with my favorite songs, movies and TV shows and i'll be just fine. and obviously, you don't need to worry about "cell service" or "a signal" to put a CD in a player and sit down and watch whatever you want. it's fine to watch "internet stuff" when the internet is available. but that's not always the case for a lot of reasons.

    • @Niskibum
      @Niskibum Před 4 lety

      @@jimharvard What does the type of player have to do with cell service or signal? You don't need that to play a blu-ray disc either. Why would you want a player that ONLY plays the old technology instead of one that plays it all? You shouldn't have any problem with a blu-ray that does it all, but you should have a problem with one that won't because it's decades old technology that they are pawning off as an upgrade to an expensive RV.

    • @jimharvard
      @jimharvard Před 4 lety +1

      @@Niskibum i don't think you read my comment above. i don't have any problem with a blu-ray player so long as it will play the older CD's and new blu-ray CD's. the point i was making was if you have a CD player in an RV that will ONLY play blu-ray CD's and nothing else, then none of the "pre-bluray" CD's will be usable any longer. obviously this is an issue that would only be of concern to the individual RV buyer. maybe they don't have any old CD's; maybe they want ONLY new blu-ray CD's; maybe they don't care at all about CD's and want to watch "streaming" internet programing. buying an RV is an individual choice based upon what the person wants and is going to do.
