@@Trygvar13 Agreed; the problem is that bassists tend to be in the shadow of leads (Blackmore especially comes to mind, and loads of others in HM) but I'm a fan of Geezer, (and of course Jack Bruce and Geddy Lee as multi-talented artists in their own right).
I'm not an L42 aficionado, their type of music is usually too 'safe' for me; I much prefer something with more of an edge to it, hence the metal thing.

This is exactly why Maiden don't do thatmuch interviews: the showhosts don't understand one tiny bit of their music. How great a legend Steve is amongst the best bassplayers around the world. How it is to play that kind of shows above the age of 60. Maiden have consistently played heavy metal for more than 45yrs and have a HUGE worldwide fanbase! He's not the Corporate. He is Steve.
    A quiet genius.
I nearly started to support the Hammers because of him!
Thankfully I saw sense and stuck with Kilmarnock 😊

Wow, not a mention of Artist Derek Riggs, the unnoficial 6th member of the original line up, just referring to some 'eddie the ead' stage prop. Maiden always had a really strong visual aspect that other bands didn't have and nobody will ever equal.

Ooh, around 2:40 one of the few examples of Mr. Harris WITHOUT a Precision Bass (it seems he was using his Lado custom model, in that video)

He has a side-gig? Holy shit... The drive of this man.. If you have watched the "History of Iron Maiden"-series on their channel, he put in enough energy into that band to drive 5-6 normal bands, and he still wants to do more? God damn...

Charlie Rose and James Lipton need to take a cue from these two on what REAL interview prep looks like.
