- Steve Harris is a true heavy metal legend. The bassist founded Iron Maiden back in 1975, and is still going strong with the iconic metal act. While Maiden continue to soar, Harris has branched out with another band, the hard-rock act British Lion.
British Lion are set to unleash their sophomore album, The Burning, on January 17th. The LP marks the first that the outfit is releasing under the band name British Lion, after the debut disc was released as a Steve Harris solo project. Essentially, though, it’s the same band.

What a genuinely nice, humble guy.
Steve is the personification of love for music. He demonstrates it a lot when talking about playing live.
I just saw them tonight in Memphis, steve is addicted to playing.. he gave 100%.. he's an inspiration for sure. His energy is overwhelming. His head banged the whole time. I just want to thank him for giving all of himself all the time.

Steve Harris deserves all the success he has, from day 1 his attitude has never changed, he just loves it, maiden have had some seriously rough patches over the year and loads of line up changes but Steve has never been put off or thought about throwing the towel in and so that why he is still standing and out there doing it just as well as he did when he started in 75! The face he still want to do this side project and go out and play these small shows is so admirable! What a hero and someone to look up too for any budding musician!

Excellent band. Steve Harris’ side project kicks ass. Their debut was good, but their follow-up new album ‘The Burning’ proves them worthy of praise. Rock/Hard Rock/touches of Metal. 70s/80s/90s/modern vibes all throughout. All the right ingredients. The way Rock music is supposed to sound. Absolutely love their new album. 🤘🤘🤘
I love Steve Harris (and Maiden), too, but cut the bullshit. British Lion does not "kick ass". Their music, well, sucks. I wish it didn't, and I get no pleasure from saying that, but it's true. I wish Steve would set this aside and just concentrate on Maiden music, which is 10,000 times better.

@@davel7791 Nope, wrong on most accounts. Debut suffered from weak production. The Burning a 1000 X improvements. The live shows are blinding, Richard (lead singer) really is a great frontman and his vocals and the songs themselves are much improved.

Removed cover tryout meeting. Now at Grim L Python USA only. Football coaches threatened him obviously. High School and College that is. Jay Cohen also threatened him physically not to consider any meeting.
