If I had a list of all the things that were disrespectful in this performance, you would find every second of it listed from start to finish. It was not only disrespectful towards the movie, but to the culture and meaning of the movie, yall have no respect for anyone’s culture by the looks of this terrible performance, and not to mention Maui being portrayed by a female is disrespectful in itself. The contemporary dancing and over acting to Polynesian songs and to a Polynesian story is mad crazy, there is not 1 bit of authenticity in this besides the name MOANA, stop performing this every damn year it’s embarrassing. 🫵🏾🛑

If your complaining about over-acting, you obviously don’t know anything about theatre. Why are you here if you’re just going to complain? This group put heaps of effort into their choreography, not to mention the talent shown in the performance. So stop being salty and just don’t watch these sort of videos in general if you’re going to be disrespectful. Thank you. *You’re welcomeee.*

@@-.D1nonuggets.- 💀💀 you thought you ate with your reply!! Read my comment again, it’s about it being disrespectful to the culture of Polynesians you half wit not really about how terrible their performance is, while it may be good in general it’s not good for the musical and culture side of Moana! I understand theatre is beyond over the top, but to choreograph a mock of the culture and use a female as Maui is DISRESPECTFUL like I said in my first comment. Maybe if they put more “effort” into educating themselves about Moana they’d come up with a better performance LMAO.
