FS22 + $300M + 3 years of development (fog) = FS25.
If you narrow the whole game down to "Fog" sure.
But you've seen not even half of the improvements so hopefully your thoughts on the game will change with the farmcon informations or closer to release.
@@MrMarcel5 The fog is entirely on Giants. It was the very first new feature they showed and the one they spent the most time. Don't blame me for their marketing failure.

"FOG" is not the only Development of the whole game. That is something that was shown in the pre-show. So FS25 is not even near the finish in terms of development.
We just saw maybe 5% out of the FS25. Just wait for more information before you Judge.
Thats why i Hate the Farm-Sim community. They whine about everything. If you know it better in terms of Game-Development then do a Farm-Sim that is better than the FS Series.

@@florin3426 they announced ground deformation. I work as a farmer and? I could wish for things that made the FS so much more realistic but, if they would put this in it would be to complicated for people who don’t work as a farmer. They care, they care about things you don’t have in your mind right now. Wishing things and becoming things are two different things. If your wishes aren’t fulfilled, then it doesn’t mean that they don’t care. FS is improving, and nobody is going to be angry if you not buy this. But it’s like every time. People complain, and in the end they say it’s better than they expected.
Well, seems you can’t please everyone. I’m pretty impressed so far though. The clips they showed seem a lot nicer. I guess it’s about your expectations. If you want honest to God realism go buy a farm and a tractor….😊. I’m anxious to hear and see what comes out of Farmcon. Thanks for the update FSG.

I feel that dropping the old console’s had to be done. I’m excited to see how GPS works. Still holding hope for courseplay and maybe autodrive. The improvement to the immersion side is great. Have a great time at farm con. Looking forward to your updates.
Something I really want to be improved in FS25, is dramatically improved is AI driving by roads while driving along roads. Would be cool if someone could shoot in a question about that

I'm very excited by what they've shown so far, wish I could be at farmcon this weekend, but will look forward to the vid's from you, Farmer Cop, mr SealyP, DC and others! Really getting excited to see what comes in the new game!
It's still the same as 2...(now) I'm impressed! Getting rid of older consoles was the best move! This is not the final product and we dont know how old these videos are!! Being a software engineer, theres a lot of tricks we can use to enable/disable features. We know some type of ground deformation is coming but they havent showed that yet, theyre clearly disabling stuff to show later...who knows what else theyre not showing. And GPS base game is official!! The hud looks great, the screens inside are intriguing with placeholders in the cr11, id love seeing live view, especially with gps

I've been using the RealGPS mod for FS22 ever since it came out. The developers are 3 years behind on that one...
Hi FSG. This is absolutely a high quality improvement in terms of graphics, the rice crop is amazing(loving it), new equipment and more to come. Really looking forward to this. Thanks for the stream last night
All the clips I have seen so far, its just like wow this is a massive leap forward, If others cant see it then they need to go to specsavers. it's always a worry that at some point the game producers say right that's it, we are pulling the plug on this game series as we cant develop it anymore, I defiantly don't get that feeling from Giants I reckon that FS will be around for many many years to come, as I think FS25 is showing Giants commitment to move forward and develop the experience and immersion, that we as game players want, As you say FSG the water ripples the fog comes through the trees is getting to a far more realistic experience. Well done so far to Giants and thank you FSG for all your hard work and dedication you have on bringing content to us, this is just mind blowing from Giants, cant wait to see more and get playing the game.

With improved lighting, I hope we can have the good headlights on your tractor to not work when working at night, that would be realistic
Well the one thing that will make or break the new game for me is the soil deformation. It you sink in to the soil when its wet, or get stuck during really wet periods, that will be when I'll consider upgrading to fs25. The water does however looks amezing, tigether with the light and redlections. And the gps is always nice.

multi terrain angle? No
- 3D ground? No
- actual realistic machinery physics and suspension? No
- visible vehicle damage? No
- more realistic vehicle sounds and louder hydraulic sounds? No
- better textures for piles of materials? No
- making the game require even stronger GPU for crazy fog and cloud shadows? Yes
It's a copy and paste with shaders just change the number and fog
If all of those No's would be implemented it would be a great game....

It does look much nicer for sure. I'm looking forward to seeing and finding out more. I'm still a bit underwhelmed by the clouds and the look of the sky box. It looks like a little bit of an improvement from FS22 but it was the one area I thought they would do more with. The trees look better. One day I'd like to see them blow around in the wind properly but I guess thats still technically beyond where we are with the sim.
First off the game looks amazing but rice is definitely exciting! We can hopefully do rice like here in the states. I was very scared about this game but each day I keep get reassured.
Certainly looks good but I wonder if my laptop will just curl up and die looking at this footage.

Hopefully they let the minimap update things like fertilization status. New fields showing on the map well would be nice too.
I won't harp on gfx much cuz CZcams compression kills it, from what I can see however there's still no plant randomization. One rice plant is identical to the next. Again probably YT compression, but it looks like 22 with raytracing and fog. Have to see it in person to be sure.
They didn't show how far the headlights threw the light. FS22 needs a mod to make them more than decals.
Okay, no circle of doom is nice (unless they're using tweaked settings for the showcase) and the crop density is better.

I won't be pre-ordering it, for many reasons, and I may still try before I buy, but I've spent far more time in FS22 than I ever expected and def got my money's worth so I'll probably get 25 eventually too.
Every release I hope they rework the synchronization on joining and removed the requirement to buy a second copy of the game to host a dedicated server. One can hope but I'm starting to doubt that will ever happen.
It looks like the shadows are much better in 25 also, especially when you were in the greenhouse.

Yeah, how the fields are filled and emptying is something I'm curious about. Just look at the shades and sunlight change while walking around the pallet

Great preview FSG and its looking really good and there’s quite, a few big improvements from what I can see and it’s far better,than 22 and looking forward, to see the ground deformation when they show, it I have had a look but it’s not visible, at this point and you will always get people, who say it’s not any different from 22 and keep up with the great previews 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really like what I'm seeing, especially in regard to the color palette. The red on the barn, green on the fields look spot on.
Color is very important and for me '22 was over saturated, had to use reshade and play with the monitor a bit.

I personally am a bit disappointed, mostly graphically speaking.
Yes, volumetric lights is nice, but come on, it was nice in Red Faction: Guerrilla back in 2009. What jarred me the most is the night-time shot of some shop front. Yes, volumetric looked nice, but why was there no shadow? Why are there no dynamic shadows still? Modders can make it work ;)
Other things I really wanted to see are:
grass that gets trampled the more you drive on it and regrows by itself if not trampled
smaller tiles of ground textures (right now it looks like it's the same as the last entry). What I mean is smaller bit of grass, grain, dirt, gravel, etc, so diagonal lines aren't as messed up.
other vehicler working on their own fields (that alone would bring so much immersiveness)
I'm quite sad, but it seems the only game I was genuinely excited about this year is not gonna be as good as I'd wanted. They had 3 years, I expected more. There were bigger advancements in times of FS every other year.

Now i seen the previews,to me it looks better, alltough mist did fly off the handle,i have no idea what weather effects are but i hope there are yield losses and etc..i like the play in cab so all information on inside monitors would be nice so you didn't need hud at all..some of the best mods even have now them so..but overall looks good and If modders get good briefing on farmcon they can start coming with ideas and so on👍

So its FS22 expansion pack, i dont care about fog or shadows. I want the ground to not to be flat plastic but react like dirt.

I've tried mods that claim to fix it. I've tried pure vanilla. I've made sure I'm using brand new headers and combines, and it's on Goldcrest Valley vanilla, yet still about half of the contracts end up with me opening the save file to complete them that way. That's far from the only bug in this 'finished' game, but it's the most annoying/egregious.
Cr11 straw is wrong, which is close to 180.
Bunch of trivial stuff which is OK but it's a farming game and I'm a lot more interested in whether or not there will be more in depth features that are relevant to farming as opposed to fog or water ripples and such.

It's really up to dynamic soil now... and possibly improvements to the AI... this will make or break the game... simple as that

Because it’s a physical box, the game isn’t finished yet so they’ve not produced the DVDs

Wow it looks good, but will it play on a 4080 like that? The most important for me is game play, how maybe of us really look at the way the tree move? its more important can i cut them down or can we remove those bushes... or when a tractor drives into a fence why is it completely solid ? in the really world then bend and break ! so far not really seen anything that would mean i would purchase. its the game play not the nicely looking tress for me. Steam used to be, them they screwed it up and I have to run a cable. I'm pretty sure Epic games is compatible for wireless ps5 controller
Not tried it with a PlayStation. Controller but I do know that FS22 works perfectly with a Thrustmaster/Xbox controller, not tried it with PlayStation but I know a lot of people who do with no issues
@TheFarmSimGuy thanks man. Used to work fine with Steam then they removed the compatability. I guess xbox controllers still work with steam but I only have playstation ones

Seems to me that we're drifting away from farming once again. Haven't seen anything so far that improves the farming aspect of the game. Their version of season on fs22 was no comparison to seasons from Realismus Modding, (for those who don't know, you don't need a tedder to make hay). The animal system was very poor as well and didn't hear anything so far about it. Adding more animals does not improve the realism of the game, in fact it may make it worse. (Deer that runs through tractors and concrete bunkers don't make the game better. ) It's called Farm Simulator after all, the improvements should be on farming first then on production and construction.
Having that said, my negative comments are not to put Giants software down, they did awesome work on what they did mprove e.g. graphics, adding a few crops and animals.. Anyway, I guess we'll see!
And of course, keep up the good work FSG! Pre-ordered using your link to help your Chanel, got the pc version even though I don't have the pc yet. Lol! Working on it.
Thanks for the comment, great summation of what a few people are feeling but delivered in a considerate and respectful way, I appreciate that. It’s always a challenge to give lots of variety and also keep everyone happy but like you say, we’ll have to wait and see, there more announcements to come I’m sure 👍
Visually it’s everything I want. I love the way the clouds look hopefully they will move across the sky. They look like they have subsurface scattering where light filters through the edges and creates like a soft light. The water looks fantastic. The way the machines create a wake is very impressive. Maybe like on elm creek there will be a low water river crossing that you’ll actually create a splash. The god rays looked great. I’m hoping that the physics are better but I’m hyped for what I’m seeing so far.
If they can improve the visuals like this I hope they have improved the physics too 😊👍
Idk man, idk… they added just enough to make you excited but man does it feel like the bear minimum. It really does seem like stuff they could’ve done to fs22 but didn’t because of older consoles.
remember we've got 4 months til launch and they aren't going to announce everything in one go, I'm sure (or I hope) they are holding back some big ticket items closer to release

With all the light effects, shadows and reflections it looks like ray tracing has been implemented to the new engine.
finally they can unleash the graphics potential for the newer high spec PC's and Consoles. seems like the lighting, textures, filters, shadows and effects are way way nicer in FS25. if they get the cows right this time i will be super happy for this new version. a big step in the right direction, thanks for sharing FSG.

Of course, but they are building on a better base, so we'll all benefit
it is not fair to do nothing and put the real stress and effort on the modders. Make your game good and the modders will make it 1000 times better. Giants is lazy and greedy if you support them is on you, more or less, that the game is how it is today. they need to wake them up from the dream they are having.

Farming simulator is by far the best dev money grab there is on Steam. Just adding a new crop, some machines and people will pay 50 dollar because they also changed the number to 25. WOW...have you seen the flat JPEG ground textures. Hilarious. And the water has....waves....waves dude. Ten year old games allready had waves in water. Maybe devs should ask 80 dollar because of the waves...
Gone are the savings from children. Devs should be hauled to court for this scam.

Im just going to pirate it, and keep fs22 for multiplayer. And then wait for fs25 to go on sale, because im not paying 60 dollars for a glorified DLC for fs22.
