The Marvel Cinematic Universe has always been home to intimidating villains but over the course of the last two phases and the introduction of phase 5, the threats have had to become more and more powerful as our heroes continually defeat any and all enemies who threaten to destroy everything the heroes care about. In today’s video, we will be breaking down the 10 most powerful villains in the MCU thus far. While this list will certainly be controversial we will do our best to explain the reasoning for each placement as well as we can, but just be aware we wont be able to list every single reason a character is where they are. If you’d like more detailed breakdowns, please check out the individual videos for some of these characters which I’ve already uploaded and if you’d like a breakdown for any of the characters here that don’t have videos, let me know in the comments. - Zábava

Hela is definitely one of my top 3 villains. She's just flat out unstoppable and her character is pure evil and is never shown to show remorse or regret for killing her victims. In terms of villains with raw power and combat skills, there hasn't been a villain like her since,

This was a really interesting ranking of the most powerful MCU villains, and you did a great job explaining why each one earned their specific place on the list.
I think one of the MCU's biggest mistakes from the beginning was always killing their villains off except for Loki, We need villains that like get defeated go away and get stronger and team up with another villain or whatever,

I just realized that Wanda with her thought can remove infinity stones from Ultron's body, because in What If? It was clearly shown that, first Ultron harvest the power from infinity stone, then he uses it, remember when he burst the planet.

I personally wouldn't have Ronan above helia and maybe surter since she was weakened for him to kill her. Imo theoretically if she were at full power plus asgard I think she would be above but of course we never see this similar to never seeing how Odin defeats surter. Outside of this, I think the ranking is ok maybe the gor part if he's only beyond the hela we saw and if he could kill the gods has implied. I appreciate the Acknowledgment of Wanda and Where could be And with the hype Kang is getting I wouldn't be surprised if he's 2 but again I think this list is pretty correct in order

The uploader got it false. Yeah, HWR is the strongest, he literally stopped IU, SS, SW and other beings from existing and basically had the Watcher's job but with a lot more control.

She recreated an Infinity stone inside of the Hex(Mind stone), given where you scale the Infinity Stones. She would scale above them as she had the necessary power to create them
Do we have confirmation that what she created is in fact a full-power mind stone verses say a less powerful replica of the stone? Also, I think I remember a line from the show saying something along the lines of Vision was created by the piece of the mind stone that was inside Wanda.

The quantum realm is connected to the multiverse and you can get there through the quantum tunnel or pym particles. Pym particles are just messing with matter. Wanda could probably learn to create pym particle like effects and get to the quantum realm, and use her probability magic mojo to go to any universe she wants.
Rn the multiverse is sorta a mess especially since they made it where timelines make up the multiverse so technically America can go back in time just won’t be the timeline she’s trying to change .
Like rn Loki is traveling the multiverse with a gadget…

Went around the multiverse collecting universal sized threats.
He is much stronger than the universal threats of Hella, Ego, Thanos with Full Gauntlet etc
He is multiversal somewhere between Scarlet Witch and Kang ??
Strange has now battled two full gauntlet characters. But kang created anti magic tech TVA to nullify the stones to paper weights.
Strange destroyed his own universe S1 then in the Finale S2 he gave his life to recreate his own universe.
Kang can also do this but rewrite the script completely.
Supreme strange has outclassed the scarlet witch in every way but I think kang is many steps ahead.
I wouldve switched kang and wanda.

When watching Wandavision and DSMOM it explains who and what the scarlet witch is and capable of. Agatha had the darkhold and still wasn’t anything near scarlet witch in dsmom which is why aggy wanted wandas powers.
Ntm the book was destroyed for like half of the movie and yet she was still able to do everything she did and destroy the darkhold in every universe which is infinite

Not even close. Hela was able to destroy Thor’s hammer (made with (Uru) with ease. Uru is much stronger than Vibranium. Hela could kill Ultron with her bare hands. Adding her sword into the mix, it isn’t even a competition. And Gorr has the Necrosword which is incredibly powerful and far more powerful than Ultron.
He meant Infinity Ultron, he will incinerate all of them in a matter of seconds
Hela is way stronger than Gorr. Remember her banishment was tied to Odin's life-force.

He defeated her and banned her to Hel using his own life force to keep her imprisoned for Eoons... and they all use Asgardian magic or Earth science... so if he was able to trap her and she couldnt defeat him based on the fact that she is levels more powerful on Asgard... I feel that stating that Hela is more powerful than Odin is an oversimplification.....

In conclusion: except Scarlet and Ronan and maybe Ego, our Ranking is somewhat the Same, Nobody can make a perfect list, so I give yours an A.
Kang is above Dormammu tbh. Dormammu can’t even finish consuming one timeline. Kang has the technology to destroy multiple.
You underrated skarlet witch and Alioth heavily. Alioth literally ended the multiversal war, and can consume timelines.
Skarlet witch would have literally soloed infinity gauntlet users if she had a portal. This is confirmed in the movie.
Hela > Gorr. Gorr and his weapon scales = Mjolnir which Hela one shotted with ease extremely weakened.
King Laufey was never a match for Odin. Just because he cut his eye out doesn’t mean he scales to him. And this Odin was not the same he was much less ruthless.
Malekeith with the stone was going to transmute the whole universe into darkness. He is more powerful than Ronin with the power stone.

Kang/Kang dynasty should actually be number 1 imo. He is stated to be the most powerful MCU villian to date and the statement isn’t wrong.
You agree that the infinity stones are paper weights in the TVA. What’s stopping Kang from doing that to Ultron? Kang’s technology/Alioth can destroy timelines. Ultron threatening a multiverse is most likely the same as him threatening a timeline( and he can’t destroy it all at once) because each timeline has infinite universes contained.
Kang being above to destroy multiple timelines puts him far above Ultron.

Watchers in the dark. I believe they will make an appearance sooner rather than later. Ragnarok is just like eternity using celestials to seed life to extend its own, instead outer gods feed off the cycle of death and rebirth the gods to reap a harvest once again later after theyve grown. These outer gods could simply back slap beings on thanos level vut choose bot to interupt the cycle.

She wasnt quite smart, as he hunted Heimdall's sword despite having Gungnir which also can summon the Bifrost and the Space Stone itself which is superior in every way for her conquering plans.
@@vlad_47we don’t know if his staff was even capable of what it did in the comics and hela needed the bifrost so she can send her army not just herself which anytime someone’s used the space stone it was only able to teleport a certain amount of people not an entire army.

This is cannon. Eternity. He created celestials to extend his life being the avatar of the compendium of the universe, the celestials create suns, to foster life bearing planets, protected by eternals, deviants, billions of species elsewhere to do the same, act as a planets antibody syatem long enough for the celestial seed to grow to gestation and finally birth thus begining the cycle anew.
the farmer sows seeds, the seeds grow plants that grow more seeds and trillions die as it goes on throughout time.
I don't like how they say Ego isnt a Celestial. Ego is only a Celestial that made his outer shell in a planet instead of a humanoid armor.
Not only was infinity ultron that powerful, supreme strange was able to basically match blow for blow with him, he was the only being capable of enduring him, talk about carrying a team.
The most powerful mcu villain is He Who Remains if he did not quit overseeing the Multiverse.
In terms of versatility, sure, but not overall power.

I think he is the most POWERFUL because he sees reality as a script and every event that happened before his death was scripted by him, just like the event when Dormammu came to Earth.
Theoretically that means He Who Remains (SPECIFICALLY THAT VARIANT OF KANG) is the most powerful variant of Kang.
The Kang from Quantumania we saw in the mcu was weak. He doesn’t even make it in the top 15 most powerful villains.

THE REASON WHY I PUT THANOS ABOVE DORMAMMU IS BECAUSE DORMAMMU GOT TRICKED SO EASILY BY ONE INFINITY STONE WHILE THANOS HAS ALL SIX OF THEM.
Wanda could have used the darkhold and project looking glass to create the children she wanted in the real world.

@@KeyIssues difference with that is Thanos is synonymous with the Infinity Stones/Gauntlet. It’s like Thor and Mjölnir, Cap and his shield, Batman and his utility belt, Wonder Woman and her lasso etc.

Dormamu should be no higher than Alioth, the only reason he would be is being above time which he isn't since time abilities still work on him

I think you’re wrong about Dormammu not being above time there are 2 reasons.
1. Dormammu would have negged the time stone if he had prior knowledge. If foot soldiers undid the time stone’s abilities on them because they were being amped by the dark dimension. This is stated by the novel.
2. Simply means the time stone can affect timeless beings. It isn’t bound by normal time z

How does Dormammu, who existed before time, means that he is moving at an immeasurable speed beyond time, being lost by the Time Stone?
Normally that would be the case because if you are outside of time it means time doesn’t affect you. You can be anywhere anytime you want since the rules don’t apply to you. However that’s not the case with dormammu or his realm since we’re physically shown that he can be affected by time along with his dimension. So in short, I have no idea how he got that conclusion.

Gorr and hela should be above ego. The what if series isn’t cannon, the infinity stone in cannon don’t work in different galaxies or outside the galaxy. If we are including the what if series why not include the dark dr strange?
How would gorr or hela kill ego? His brain is in his own planet, hela and gorr would need to go to his planet to kill him and there, he controls everything and is a celestial being. What if is canon, stones do work outside universes just not the tva. Dark dr strange is not rlly a villain is he.

I personally feel that because Wanda can destroy and infinity stone. And also Dr S said that Wanda is the most powerful villain he ever found Wanda should be before dormammo bc he basically said dormmammo will be defeated by Wanda.
When did he say wanda was more powerful than dormmamu? With wanda at least he stood a fighting chance. With dormmamu he never stood any chance whatsoever having to resort to letting him kill him hundreds of times. Wanda could destroy the stones because her powers were unlocked by the same thing.

@@cignux2735 Because of bias. He accepts that Superman’s heat vision are lasers that even Batman has reacted too. But will ignore light attacks like Iron Man’s repulsors, or Captain Marvel’s blasts and multiple characters scaling to them.

Hela also almost killed thor and valk easily. He didnt even bother fighting her bcs he knew he had no chance of winning and would rather destroy asgard and taking her out with it instead. On the other hand he still fought and eventually beat gorr.
