@@Valor110 It is the same just a light 21st century version in Russia, with nearly 100% of information in Russia controlled by Putin. Independent journalist, bloggers and opposition leaders murdered, jailed or have to seek political asylum. I dont deny that majority of Russians are nice people and i have my mother cousins living in Russia yet I want to point that all this "we could be friends but the governments " agenda is a bit of nonsense. People around the world deserved they governments and support them .The governments reflect the political part of society despite the social part can be the same. And if majority of Germans did not support Hitler in 1933 he would not take the power. It is called silent majority.

As a retired US military intelligence officer, I had many interactions with Soviet and later Russians arms inspectors. At first, there was some reluctance, but I ended up making life long friends. Eventually, when I traveled to that part of the world, I visited Ukraine, the heart of the Soviet military machine. Wonderful people that were as curious about me as I was about them. I loved the food, culture and the people. They had many ideas they gathered from television or the internet. They asked about gays, our military, families and fast food and cars. Being Latino, I added another dimension because I also spoke Spanish. So, by some claims, I am conservative and in other areas I am more progressive/liberal. We can certainly learn from each other and never attempt to change each other because we don't agree with their ideas. In the end, we are all brother and sisters with different skin color, backgrounds and ethnicities.

Even the fact of existence of souvereign states implies world unequality and rivalry. This rivalry causes tensions even wars. Do Not Travel to:
The North Caucasus, including Chechnya and Mount Elbrus, due to terrorism, kidnapping, and risk of civil unrest.
Crimea due to Russia’s purported occupation of the Ukrainian territory and abuses by its occupying authorities.
On August 5, 2021, the Department allowed for the voluntary departure of U.S. government family members.
Country Summary: U.S. citizens, including former and current U.S. government and military personnel and private citizens engaged in business, who are visiting or residing in Russia have been interrogated without cause, and threatened by Russian officials and may become victims of harassment, mistreatment, and extortion. All U.S. government personnel should carefully consider their need to travel to Russia.
Russian security services have arrested U.S. citizens on spurious charges, denied them fair and transparent treatment, and have convicted them in secret trials and/or without presenting evidence. Russian officials may unreasonably delay U.S. consular assistance to detained U.S. citizens. Russian authorities arbitrarily enforce local laws against U.S. citizen religious workers and open questionable criminal investigations against U.S. citizens engaged in religious activity. Russian security services are increasingly arbitrarily enforcing local laws targeting foreign and international organizations they consider “undesirable,” and U.S. citizens should avoid travel to Russia to perform work for or volunteer with non-governmental organizations."

Another great video. This is one of many things I love about your videos - you actually talk to Russians and ask them directly about their perceptions about certain topics. It so simple but so brilliant at the same time because especially these days, it’s hard not to be swept away by the propaganda machine that operates in hyperdrive right now. In this context, I am writing this as an American.
Overall, I think the perception of Americans by Russians is a closer to reality than the perception of Russians by Americans. So, let’s tackle some of the easy ones first: yes, Americans are fat, and the difference in obesity rates as of 2021 between the U.S. and Russia is ~36% vs 23%. Seems like a significant difference.
Secondly, do Americans like or dislike Russians? This is s difficult topic. First, Russophobia is very real in America, especially now that every warmonger in American political and corporate circles feels like it’s their moment to pile on. So much so that it’s perfectly ok to openly discriminate against Russians in the current climate in the same way that it is absolutely unacceptable to discriminate against anyone else. That is driven by the U.S. government, its supporters in the media and corporations. And yes, you guys in Russia, even if you think you are young and progressive, have to understand. Our politicians make no difference between the younger generation and the older ones or the government. For the U.S. government, everything Russian is bad. At this time inside of the U.S., Russia is being portrayed as the absolute worst place on the planet. Our political/media/corporate class makes no difference between the Russian government and the Russian people. And I think you can see the effects of this Russophobia right now in your county with most major companies and brands having abandoned you guys. Secondly and MOST IMPORTANTLY, we - the American people - have no problems with Russia. Sure, there are some that live for the constant barrage of propaganda and completely buy into it, but MOST OF US LIKE RUSSIA AND RUSSIANS. Don’t EVER forget that. The U.S. is a wonderful country, just like Russia, but it’s also a horrific serpent when it comes to geopolitics. So, please Dear Russian Friends, don’t confuse the position of our U.S. government with the attitude of many of us who are mere citizens of the U.S. - we love you, we love, and are in awe of the role that Russia has played in the world for a thousand years, and we want to have great relations with you. But you do need to be aware that at this time, there is an insane propaganda-driven backlash against Russia through the Western world. It’s irrational, it’s stupid, it’s self-destructive for all of us, and it’s demeaning to the Russian people. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Unfortunately. All I can say at this time as an American, is this: Russian people - we continue to love you!

You are a very good Russian government propagandist. Most Americans would love to embrace any Russian citizen, except those involved in the outrageous and illegal invasion of the free country of Ukraine. It is not a part of Russia, ruled by Nazi's etc, etc that the current Russian government would have their citizens believe via their propaganda. That is why the vast majority of free countries in the world do not equate the current behavior of the Russian government with the behavior of peaceful nations.
Personally, I have never understood why Putin and his yes men, view Nato as the enemy. The Russian people would seem to be natural allies with the Western powers. I like to think that one day when Putin is thrown out of power, Russia will take their rightful position as a leader within a free society allied with the West. That does not mean Russia has to abandon their cultural values.

Because today' teenagers are highly influenced by American media and some of them tend to be despise their own culture and country and glorify western culture. On the other hand, not all of them but some of the old people tend to be not equal and quite conservative in these issues.
