I once hugged a guy that didn’t like hugs. He didn’t plan revenge. No, he shifted away from me and I got the hint. And then we moved on with our lives and never brought it up again. Funny how that works.
Maybe he's still in the planning stage.
Loya's story of the supposed arm grab is such an obvious lie. HE's the one who had a crush on Lisa. Its not super uncommon for people to get mad about being rejected.
StutleyConstable I hope not. If so...he’s been planning for like 12 years. He should really hurry it up!

As soon as Anna said Lisa's lips went limp, my heart broke. She's so strong, and I can't even imagine what it would be like, to lose my partner like that. I don't know how she isn't just crying her eyes out. It's so upsetting.
She seems like she's still in shock at that time. Poor sweet girl😢

As far as Adrian goes...he's the most un-man man I've ever seen. wtf
He’s gonna have a hard time in prison if touching is an issue.
He murdered her over that, now he is going to be at high risk of being assaulted for the rest of his life

Not really, you're not allowed to touch each other in prison
I've never seen a man so desperate to make himself a victim.
You should meet my ex... we were driving in tandem across the country he got in a pissy mood decided the best way to handle his pissy mood was to smash into my car and drive away he then gave me shit about what a shity drive he had after... I could go on for days about stuff but he literally screamed I am a victim despite nearly killing me and putting his ex in hospital with a broken face twice and breaking her arm once.... found out about the ex after,, the entire time I was with him he told me how horrible she was and how she was only with him for his money turns out she was the trust fund baby he was milking dry and beating
@No you r/niceguys
@No you lmao no
In a sense, he was a victim of some bizarre undiagnsosable mental illness. Sad situation for everyone involved.
To steal someone else's line. "Fight for your right to be a victim!"

Sounds like the Coast Guard should start giving psychological tests before hiring people. What if he was trying to save someone from drowning & they pulled on his arm!!!
I know this is probably rhetorical but! Often those who are drowning will grab and pull their rescuer, sometimes causing both parties to start drowning. I wish someone had pulled him in. Save a life, kill a killer
@@sylviapuppysticker8664 So true it's a bad situation to be in so sad.
You know not everyone that works for the coast guard is a rescue swimmer, right?
1) they do
2) the coast guard does a whole lot more than that.
Pull on his arm? What if they hugged him for rescuing them?? 😬🥴
I don’t understand how they could have carried on a friendship for so long. He doesn’t seem like a very fun person to be around. Also, I loved Mike’s hail of bullets. I had to go back and replay that part 😂
Yes, I was thinking about that too.
I think he's mentally off and perhaps the time they were friends his behavior was different. And then for whatever reason he snapped about her hitting on him.
Seems like he has a great imagination, so it could be used drama queen.
Probably why he went to complain about her to the military. He knows how the military Works, he probably thought it would affect her career. Go figure he was her supervisor and it affected his. And I'm quite certain that is the reason he did not get his promotion.
I know the Coast Guard is a bit different from other military branches, but I get it--it's not always easy for women, so a man showing her kindness probably felt like a protective factor to her. She made a mistake of course, but it was handled, IMO, appropriately. They both received reprimand. Women often experience way, way worse in terms of actual assault and they're often too afraid to report. It's so gross that he blew it up so far out of proportion. I think he thought about killing her before it even happened...murdering someone for grabbing their arm is straight up mental. This is not a stable human being. The fact that he planned for it to be a murder suicide speaks volumes.
He put himself in a bad position drinking with someone he was supervising, but I know that also happens a lot in the military. As soon as she came on to him, he should have made her leave/left (I'm not sure where they were). It's not like she could overpower him, she was inappropriate but this is problem that is easily solved before stuff escalated. Seems like a very fragile and immature man.
Thank you, Mike, for reading through pages of manifestos and watching hours of interrogation footage so we don’t have to.
I don't give a damn how many vids or articles I've seen about a case, Mike brings that sum' extra special. When I hear that yeehaw music I'm strapped in.

I feel sorry for Anna, she saw her love taking last breath. That must be heartbreaking and unforgetful. Things like these will mess with your head.

Wasn't she actually kissing her as she went limp?
Horrific.
Cant imagine losing my husband at all... much less like that.

Seeing someone you love getting shot too shit….yeah that would rate pretty high up with things that mess with your head
If her description of their last moment together was a movie scene, I wouldn't believe it. Heartbreaking
@Wes Hanlon it was two years ago that it happened from the time she was talking about it, she did have some time to grieve, and everyone shows emotions and grief differently.
Something about this case aside from the obvious horrific things that happened, really effected me. I watched a doc on this before and he set up a blockade in the road so no cops or paramedics could get through. He also was in a stand off with police. These women had to wait almost two hours before anyone could get in to help them. Lisa was so strong. She tried so hard to hold on and she fought hard. It's so heartbreaking. 💔
I busted out laughing when he did the"Bust out in a hail if bullets" Shimmey... ❤️😂
Right I can't stop rewinding it and rewatching him do it its freaking hilarious
I feel a lot less sad about getting rejected now. At least the people that reject me aren't so offended they spend years trying to kill me
did you rape them after they rejected you? rightly or wrongly that was this guys mental space
it's was far more than an arm pull, it wasn't exactly penetration but involved groping, shaming, etc etc - it was sexual assault
and heres the thing, no one believed him, his chief laughed at him when he brought it up and ultimately it cost him his future professional career
even mike who you'd think actually looked into this doesn't have the story straight
interestingly both psychologists that evaluated him on both the defence and the prosecution didn't find him criminally responsible for the crime
of course he did it, obviously - but he wasn't sane - and this was a consequence of not only his mental head space but also the failures of his support group and authorities after the event
@@elduderino7767 Erm….it really bloody was not sexual assault. She touched his ARM you idiot.

Crazy how he was able to show so much self control initially - he had the girl he was obsessed with alone and drunk, throwing herself at him and he didn't act on it. And yet he couldn't control himself after his overreaction to being touched... by the woman he was obsessed with. Weird how some peoples minds work.

That's the weirdest case I ever saw. It baffles me how anyone could take a drunken advance from someone as close as they were and consider it grounds for murder. WTF?

It took me a moment to realise that the company Adrian sent that stuff to was the same devs that made one of my favourite games ever, Hades (though Transistor, Bastion, and Pyre are also very good games). That is fucking wild that they got brought into the story for a moment.
@14:25 When he said “Tha Fkn Nerd” I literally lost my shii and busted out laughing lol. @dražen g, he does. He is definitely a person with high functioning autism. I saw it from the start. He missed out on so much in such a late diagnosis. It’s becoming more common in mass shootings. Brenton Tarrants GoPro footage is by far the most shocking I’ve seen.

it's a funny name... who isss....
.. Andrey the giant?
Dude was unstable.
something deeper must be at play here. very strange
Ask a woman who receives an unwanted arm grab from a drunk man at his bedroom door if it was 'pretty minor'.
If the man apologises after you ask him to let go then yes I’d get over it, misunderstandings happen when people are drunk, if the man backs off as soon as you let him know he has understood the situation then it’s a non issue. You maybe avoid him from embarrassment but that’s it. You certainly don’t try to get him fired, stalk him for two years and then kill him.
Misunderstand..
of course its not minor because if its a girl then shes in actual danger, when someone bigger and stronger than you can hold you down and violently rape you. whoever is physically stronger always has the power in these situations. yall actually claiming role reversal is pathetic. he was never in any danger
If I was on the stand explaining how my significant other died I would not be able to hold it together like she did.
To not only be holding the person you love while they die but to literally be kissing them as they exhale their last breath.... just, I have no words. Completely horrific and an example of how life can be more dramatic and traumatic than anything someone could write in fiction.

Mike! I love you, but I have to correct you. The coast guard is SO much more than just driving around in boats, and Kodiak is famous for king crab. However, I live on the Oregon coast and my husband is a commercial fisherman. The coast guard has a helicopter here (along with badass boats) and saves fishing vessels and fisherman every year if their boat is going down. I’m so grateful to the coast guard. They also save pleasure crafts and those that occupy them. But for real, the coast guard is incredible and very near and dear to many families of fishermen. Just another perspective.
I don't know how he passed the psyc test before going into the coast guards.
I was thinking that as well. I have PTSD, Aspergers, depression and I know I wouldn't be able to pass a psych test to get into any branch of the military. I guess some people can fool others and themselves though and have done so quite often to get into the military.
@@amberscoutstarwatcher oh I don't disagree that people can fake the fact they don't have any disorder.
LOL what psych test its the US. Have you seen the people they hire as cops? One can only imagine how low the bar is for the coastguard and military.

Glad to see the Coast Guard is meticulous about their screening process.
As said in the video he was later diagnosed with a version of "high-functioning Aspergers". High-functioning in that context means that the person is very good at masking their problems to others and function as expected, most people would never notice there was an issue unless specifically told so. If he didn't have any criminal or medical record of this condition when applying, which is kinda likely, there simply wasn't anything to be found while screening him.
I have a high-functioning version of a certain disorder myself, symptoms got progressively worse over many years with no treatment. I was only diagnosed after hitting 30 because I mask my issues so well. I didn't even know or assume something was maybe wrong with me for the largest part of my life, I just tried to handle things myself and cope with everything, which got harder and harder.
This is in no way a defense of the guy, and neither are mental health issues an excuse for being a dick or cirminal action. Just thought it might explain why he got along fine in life until the attack.
Yes, I think many meticulous people have Aspbergers. I think we should all study this and Borderline personality disorders before we start to date and it will help understand why some people act so...?? I have a coworker like this and I have to remind myself that she can't help it and that's why she says fucked up mean stuff daily.
Thanks nalrya - I think he was kinda harsh making fun of the guy. While I do believe he should be punished, I hope they put him in a protected unit so he won't be taken advantage of and maybe he can thrive there with friends, but he couldn't really understand how to handle certain situations.

@Bruce Lee Vintage Not "wife", just her wife. No quotations that imply that they weren't a legally wed couple. You do know what year it is right? It's a shame people like you can't get past the fact that LGBTQ people can get married and have all the legal rights that entails. 🙄
@@madalice5134 God invented marriage for a man and wife FACT and he does not agree with any other arrangement
His law. You don't like it...tough . Doesn't mean we should hate people but the bible is the authority...modern society means nothing and judgment is coming
We have free will
@@jaimecoutanche5977 No, you're conflating belief with fact. The sky is blue, fact, the earth revolves around the sun, fact, 2+2=4, fact. Religious beliefs are just that, beliefs. There's nothing inherently wrong with holding religious or spiritual beliefs, but don't proclaim them to be absolute fact, because they aren't. Your faith is between you and your god, and no one else is required to believe the same or live by your dogma.
"...at least he didn't have to see the Rise of Skywalker in the cinema..." That's gold, Mike. Gold!
I cried while listening to Anna explaining what happened to her love, my god.
Strange that most people would murder for being shot down, this guy murders for being hit on. 🤯
8:25 "on 'A' island"
Mike, bro you are hilariously brilliant.
Watching this at 12:41, everyone asleep and then there is me, bursting out laughing at Mike's quips, LOL!!
"He was stewing... you know, like a hot, bubbly...... angry.... stew..."
"I'm pretty sure that's what a crush is...
I am a robot."
flippin' hilarious!
I guess they don't call them "petty" officers for nothing. That whole thing just made me wish our country had better mental health care.
I've always get bummed out when he doesn't say, "let's give it a goo"
@UtoobeIsTrash . hahaha haha don't be an asshole
I've caught myself using it as part of my tech support job now and I'm not mad about it lol
Probably a sign I've marathoned way too many That Chapter vids tho.
If he ever doesn’t wink at the end, I’ll probably have an anxiety attack 😅
@@Unbreaded1984 But please do not what Adrian did, cause of that!!
I just find myself thru out the day saying let’s give goooo! I scream it at myself and at my kids and at my husband.
I’ve been watching That Chapter all day for the last several days. Last night, I noticed my ex wife hadn’t responded to any messages for a bit and I went straight into panic mode and got super worried about her. I go take our dogs out every few days, and when I knocked at what would be the regular time to grab the dogs, she was a little confused why I was so happy to see her.
So thanks for that weird experience Mike! Maybe I’ll try to watch a little less of That Chapter in heavy doses.
I love how you tell stories Mike!
I think this guy's homicide can give people a perspective that harassment should be treated equally for men and women. You can't laugh at a man who's confessing of being/getting harassed by a woman because if you turn the tables then the situation might become serious and taken action for it accordingly.
I think if a man can go 10 years behind the bars just for harrasing a woman then a woman should also go behind the bars for the same exact time period.
"I'm a good guy."
Because that's always what truly good guys say.
"
Ich bin ein guter Mann" - Adolf Hitler
So sad how the women was describing her wife’s last moments :( that was horrible to hear :/
i know:( there was something about her eyes when she spoke about it that gave me chills.
I empathize and do feel for her. But I'm horrified that Lisa actually wanted to have sleep with this guy. This guy!!! Unbelievable.
Wife as claimed by them. What a place this world has become.
You can see the horror in her eyes. She wasn't in the present moment, she was back where this all happened. So sad. I hope she's able to move forward in life and find happiness and strength.
@@jwilcollective816 I think he flipped it onto her. He could have made the move and was rejected by her.
>files sexual assault case
>gets punished
"Then he marched into the house with a shotgun and a handgun. The true weapons of a jedi, skywalker would be proud" LOLOLOLOL
So horrific, just imagine being in that situation. That is such a terrorizing thing for the young woman that survived and then had to testify. So damn sad
Exactly !!!
She just looked broken.
that's what she gets for harboring a rapist

@Phillippe Lorrie I.know right! This guy was clearly having some issues long before this happened. What surprises me is that no one was able to tell that something was up with him and try to intervene. It's obvious he didn't get that way overnight. Just goes to show you that you have to use more caution with how you treat some people. Although some are more fragile, they can be equally as dangerous and their grip on reality is usually hanging on by a thread already. All it takes is one little trivial thing that they interpret as a slight to throw them off the rails. Once that happens, they're usually not capable of turning back.
"She grabbed my arm!"
This man is a petty officer indeed.
How does this comment not have more likes?

men dont like to be sexually assaulted. believe it or not. some creeps do.
😆😂🤔
@@ericyoumans2670 Probably because people would consider this joke in bad taste if the roles were reversed.
I feel like he had a crush on her and got super jealous and angry when she started dating a woman. There just has to be more than what we've been given here.
I wonder what he would’ve done/how he would’ve handled Lisa backing away from their friendship like Anna asked her to? If he was unable to process her making a pass at him, would he have been able to understand/cope with her ending their friendship, instead? From a Psychology Today article from July 2018, Loya said: “Lisa never really did anything that bad to me.”... “I escalated it, because I was too stupid and naive to leave well enough alone.”... "And look what it got me." He’s been treated with meds & therapy in prison & it seems like it has cleared his mind somewhat. He still believes she assaulted him, tho. Also, it seems like he wanted to break up Lisa & Anna, which is why he sent that letter to them both. RIP Lisa🕊.
In a lot of states, Lisa did assault him, but that is a matter of legal terms versus what is considered commonplace.
Loya obviously has some mental health issues, but I don’t think it excused him from murder. He definitely would not have taken it very well if Lisa ended or limited their friendship. Why were they hanging out so much in the first place? One of them was a supervising officer? They definitely should’ve known better.
“I am a robot” LMFAO
+Anna 😂 I died when he said that. SO deadpan as well💕Heeheee
apologies for the typo... ANA
Was looking for this comment...I love his funny phrases
This guy was a serious nutcase, he should've been institutionalized years before this incident. Another great video Mike.
He was instituted. In the coast guard.
And I can't believe he didn't get that promotion.
I bet he relieved himself into his pants on that night and that's what triggered him. Judging by how he cared about avoiding post-mortem defecation.
This guy IS crazy!!!
Nutcase was the first thing that came to mind also!!! 🙏
He's driving during his "panic attack." As he's claiming that he can't move, you can hear him turn on the turn signal. How melodramatic!
thanks for working soo hard to bring this to us at no charge. u are soo entertaining , and funny, the fact that u can tell a story about , not so happy stories, and keep it lighthearted. thanks for u post. i am a great fan. please keep it coming. luv u !!!!!

20:20 I can’t imagine how tough it was to tune her emotions out while giving this testimony of her wife being brutally killed during their final kiss. 😞😭
"Chowin down" lol. That word usage was hilarious!!!
