I've done rear pads on this car. I was unaware of the piston having to be screwed in. There is just enough of an edge that I was able to get wide mouth vice grips on it to turn it. What I still don't understand is, if they have to be screwed in, how do they get pushed out? Does the pressure of the brake fluid make it turn as it pushes on the pad?
Break, brake. One is for smoking cigarettes, the other is for stopping a moving vehicle. Now my question: Why did you change the rotors? Were they damaged? I do see some grooves. Maybe don't wait so long to change the pads? Maybe foreign material got in between?
You really need to over index that the brake pads are not identical. Now you have me messed up with that small side bar you place there . Try seeing that outside with the sun up. Smdh!!!
Be careful not to damage the hose of the break. Try hanging it with something instead of leaving it hanging like that.
Thank you for sharing.
