Best Voodoo Chile rendition ever. I think Jimi was there with a standing ovation.
I KNOW he was! ❤ 5:15
I think Stevie was channeling Jimi.
By far....
Every Hendrix cover that Stevie Ray did was better. A refinement of the original. He was a true Texas gentleman. God bless Stevie!
Stevie left us in 1990, and was the best blues - rocker at that time.

It is amazing how he could modernize the Hendrix sound, then play the song with his own style but stay also loyal to the original song. Incredible.
Well yes he has the guitar licks, but his vocals fail.
He had a better voice...
Amazing !
He's way more clean and technically better on guitar than Hendrix but Jimmy had the creativity. Join it and this is the result

His guitar was like an extension of his body....natural, and you could feel his soul coming through his music!
I think every woman would like to be made love to like he makes love to that guitar.
Like all great Axmen..
His body was like an extension of his guitar .
You are right, my friend. "#1" was an extention of him and that guitar should have been buried with him too. They don't make musicians/guitar players with this much soul and integrity, these days anymore. SRV played REAL guitar!!! Guitar players these days use too many effects, stomp boxes, and digital pedals to try to make their music sound good. I think using too much digital effects ruins the music, to a degree (definitely makes live shows SUCK when they don't play real instrument and just jump around on stage with a microphone). Today, music awards go to folks like, "Pharrell Williams" who thinks they are actual musicians by pressing buttons on a computer/effects processor and making a few beats with a drum machine (SMH,). SRV is what we use to call, "real RAW talent".
Stevie and his guitar = one and the same ❤ RIP Miss you Stevie
All the great musicians that have left this earth have formed and now play an eternal concert in the cosmos.
S.R.V probably the only guitar player who could get to Jimi's level on this song, simply breath taking

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you play guitar.
No fucking doubt he was a king!!
But Jimi is God ;)
Shit yeah! I am ashamed to say I didn't hear any of his stuff 'til after he died. A mate picked up a copy of "The Sky is Crying, and dropped the needle on "Little Wing". Life-changing in a way I hadn't known since hearing "Lazy" by Deep Purple, 26 years earlier.

I’ve always said Hendrix played it.. But SRV schooled Hendrix on his own song,And Mastered it
A true Master of his 🎸 !
SRV is the greatest guitarist to ever walk the earth, hands down. nobody could interface with a guitar like that man did. it was like a part of his body. people love to show off technical skill and talk about how fast they can play this and that, SRV could do all that but didn’t maximize how technically difficult something was, he just put all of his soul into making his music as mind blowing as it is. nobody could, or can currently, play guitar as well as SRV could, period.
Watch Jimmi hendrix the person he copied. Jimmi played this and is way better

I played this for my 8 y/o. He said it’s “auto tuned”. Def. had a long conversation after that. Lord help these kids growing up in today’s society....😢
Ow, my brain. How I wish so bad that auto-tune never existed, save younger people from having their minds warped by the non-talented 'artists' it's allowed to come through recently. It's vomit-inducing.

Its funny how you assume all of these kids dont know good music
No auto tune, no bullshit just pure talent. This is music 🤘🏽
You're what we call an "analog snob"
@@Xbombsquad22X The correct term is talent snob. If you have enough talent, you don't need band-aids like auto tune.
@@vandersgarage4682 You clearly are just a consumer of music. Auto tune is a vague term people like you use to bash on creators who use vocal processing techniques. Being honest with yourself, noticing you don't have a perfect tone and creating ways to make your voice sound incredible? THAT is talent. Sorry Vander, try again.
@@Xbombsquad22X Nice try, but I have been around music my whole life. You can try to justify it all you like but auto tune is a bandaid. When used in some songs, like Cher's Believe to get that certain robotic type sound, it is fine. Using it as a bandaid for lack of talent is another. I've had two people very close to me do albums. One was my close friend, his album was recorded in Nashville at Blackbird Studio. I will say, the end result was amazing. They made Jamie sound great. They worked their auto tune magic. The problem is, when he sings live he can barely carry a tune in a bucket. The second one was my brother. His album was recorded in a small studio in Osceola County , FL. His album came out equally amazing. No auto tune because he didn't need it. When he sings live it sounds as good, if not better, than the album. He has pure raw talent.
I'm sorry, but even as a "consumer" it is disappointing to go see an act live, expecting great things, only to realize their "talent" just comes from a great studio with lot's of technology. Anybody can sound good on a recording. But you can't fake how you sound in a live performance, unless you Milli Vanilli that shit.
Husqvarna has auto tune chain saws. They really do auto tune !
