hi there mr recliner guy, I was wondering if you could help me my father died a few years ago and I inherited his la z boy cool chair with the massage and built in fridge. its still in pretty good condition however I dont have the adapters for the power in the back for the fridge and the massager. I would love to get his old chair up and going again and back to its former glory as im really missing my dear old dad lately and his chair gives me really good memories and makes me feel he is still around, [ im crying typing this haha!] I have been all over the internet trying to find replacements and not found any I have also called la z boy and they say I need to contact the people who he bought it off but I dont know who they were as it was over 20 years ago. I hope you can help me sir and I hope to hear back from you many many thanks for reading kind regards Jason in the uk
@jason barron - You don't need to contact the original owners. This is a common fallacy perpetrated by some furniture retailers / dealers. They are referring to warranty part orders, which can only be placed by the original owner of the furniture. Obviously, this is not what you are attempting to do. You can still order La-z-boy parts, as long as you have the chair ID#s (ACK & style #s). But you'll have to pay retail price for them. And those parts need to still be available through La-z-boy, of course. Tell the dealer that you want to purchase the parts, if they're still available. And that you would like a quote on how much those parts cost with shipping and tax included. If they try to tell you can't place a warranty part order -- tell them you know that. That you are just trying to purchase replacement parts and understand that you will be paying full price for them. If they STILL try to tell you that you can't do that, try another dealer or contact La-z-boy directly. Bottom line: If the parts you need are still available, you can order them. But they may not be inexpensive. Good luck!

Nathan Riley - If you're replacing the back padding, removing the 1 piece upholstered back is the way to go. However, if you're simply adding some padding to what's already there, you may not need to completely remove it. To get the padding just right, you will need to put the back on the chair to try it out. You may do this several times. So keep in mind that if you completely remove the cover, you'll be putting that back on several times as well.

When the back is apart like this can I repack the cushion on the seat back
