  • @anxiousappliance
    @anxiousappliance Před 2 lety +2

    Got one over the winter and just got a chance to put some hours on it. Fantastic - as you said, it's like an old friend after 10 minutes - but room to explore for sure. On my backroads, I ride mostly in 3rd - keep the revs in the 6 - 9 range and it is so sweet. Clutch has a large engagement area, so downshifts for really slow corners, are smooth (no slipper ) and the gearbox is slick. The handling is confidence inspiring, and is going to make me a better rider. You might feel bumps, on rough roads, but it is nailed to the ground - no jackhammer stuff.
    My first i4 and very different than my twin of similar power and displacement . This is like turbine, but with that beauty airbox sound. A lot of people are comparing this to twins and triples, but an i4 is an i4, and this is one of the best. The low end is a nice place to visit, but mid and up is very much a nicer place to visit. Where a twin signs off, this punches in - though it is also happy to toodle.. You either like it or you don't - I like it a lot.

    Good review. I didn't bother riding the 750 because I couldn't afford the extra money so settled for an MT-07. However the smoothness of the 750s 4 cyl engine is a big plus whereas the MT being a twin is somewhat lumpy (vibrates at certain rpm). Maybe one day I'll upgrade.

    great review, I like your riding style, not too fast like most other reviewers, this will be the way I will be riding my new GSX S750( April 2021). Unfortunately this bike is under rated because it is compared with Z900 and MT09. I wish Suzuki would make a Retro design of this bike , with Round head lights, they should have a retro style, just like what Yamaha is doing with their XSR 700 and XSR 900, same engine at Mt07 or Mt09 but Retro.

    You say about the engine and power delivery? Dont forget, that engine is derived from the engine (only bekng slightly downtuned for a little less outright bhp and a little more torque) that powered the GSX-R750, probably one of the top supersports bikes ever developed.

    I’ve got a 2020 and notice when riding shifting 1-2 or downshifting from 2-1 i see the neutral light blink for a millisecond but the numeric indicator doesn’t show N... shifts good but was wondering if other GSX -S750 do the same?

      At1an Thanks, i never noticed it on my past bikes, my dealer said it was normal with incorporated digital dashes.. I happened to notice the N blip at 2:00 on this when he shifted from 1-2

      W H Well spotted! Thanks for the information. Do you experience the same responsive (jerky) throttle feeling mentioned in the video?

    It Is sad the the 750R's don't get a lot of love. for a tiny extra weight you get a lot more performance. Put this on a R bike, like the GSXR750 and you get So much more then the regular GSXR600.

      Agreed :) although you can get different panniers which would be bigger but a shame the stock ones aren’t that big
