    Myself I can stand at my station and make between 7 and 10 ring per minute now that I've been doing them for years but that is the key right there years of practice, like yourself . Your worth your craftmanship weather it takes you a minute or an hour it shouldn't matter. Love your Video's and your art.

      That’s an important point that a lot of people don’t understand. It takes time and practice to get good/fast results. The money almost never changes. But if I can make 100 + rings a day when it would take me 3-4 days when I started out. That makes a big difference for my bills 😆 Thank you for your comment and watching. I really appreciate it.
      I started videoing my kiln build! Hopefully I will have it done soon and get the video up.

      @@FlatwareCreationSS thank you for your interesting videos. I am in Mexico and would like to buy a bulk bag of sterling silver spoons & forks. Do you know where in the USA or Canada that I could buy a bulk bag ?

    • @FlatwareCreationSS
      @FlatwareCreationSS  Před 6 měsíci

      @@maloneysmagic I would look to eBay for that. You could also get a hold of places to buy silver and gold. They normally always have silverware unless they just cashed everything in but a lot of times they’ll have some left over that’s where I get a lot of my silver, spoons and forks.

      It’s a 1 ton arbor press from harbor freight. But I have the 3D bender kit from flatwearable.net. I had the older version but the new one is a lot more streamlined.

    what size pin are you using to bend the rings

  • @ladeecash68
    @ladeecash68 Před 2 lety +1

    I’m sure you stay away from silverware that has an initial on them. There are things to use the rest of the utensil for, but have you come up with a way of disguising the initial. Saw a set today at garage sale but the handle, best part had an L on it, booo.

    • @FlatwareCreationSS
      @FlatwareCreationSS  Před 2 lety +3

      I use the monogrammed ones a lot actually. I used to not use them. But I started using them for bracelets, pendants and keychains. I just started thinking about all of the peoples names that started with the different letters. And so many people love finding them in different things. Sometimes if it’s a plain pattern I will pass on them. But a great pattern with only one initial I will generally pick up. As far as disgusting the initial you can drill through them and putt a crystal rivet or something.
