Great vid Patty! AND great Miata. You reached a level of perfection few CZcamsrs do. Enough whp to be super fun but not stupid amounts to break stuff. Wheels, tires and suspension upgrade that made it a curve loving monster. I LOVE the Advanti Storms. I've got on my red/tan '01. Plus the performance mods give the look just enough aggression and up to date appearance without being racer/ricer boy. Thanks for not throwing a "big wang" on it. It will be missed but such is the life of a CZcamsr. I hope she found a loving home. M-I-A-T-A - Miata is always the answer.
The roll bars are not only an excellent safety upgrade, but helps rigidity exponentially by reducing body twist during "spirited driving" 😁
There are other upgrades that serve the same function such as door stops and brake master cylinder braces. (Reduces firewall "breathing" when braking).

Funny to come across this now, as I have the Silver '01 version of this build, right down to the Titanium Avanti Storms. We did the turbo first, now installing the MS and setting it at 13 psi on the same FM turbo kit. To me, this is the perfect combo for street/track days. Love it!

Man, crashed my nb on the Nurburging, it's getting fixed but man, I just wanted to lower it and now it will have to wait again. I love your build man, everything you would want from a miata. Thinking about doing a shortshifter at least to have something to look out for.

Awesome build! After switching from a Fiesta ST to an nb miata, I miss the power and am looking to turbo the Miata in the near future. From what I've learned it's torque that kills these motors. I was wondering if you could share what kinda torque yours was making as in my opinion, torque makes cars feel quick more so than hp.

Hey man, I have to know how you were able to push 14 psi through the GT2560R, I have the same car and same turbo kit from FM, and they suggest 6psi max for the VVT motors. Was this choice made after visiting the dyno or did you street tune it for healthy power?
Even before the dyno tune we had it near 12psi, do they really only say 6psi max? If you have a 1.8L VVT in good health then it shouldn't be an issue. Power and torque are the numbers that matter though, not necessarily PSI

nope, always had VVT
@@pattyboi Did you tune the VVT with the megasquirt before you went turbo or afterwards
@@mlfishing842 we just kept VVT on the stock basemap MS settings, never really found any benefit to tuning VVT
@@pattyboi Sounds good used to run a 1.8 Bp4w but sadly put a rod through the block and got a cheap vvt 1.8 to swap in so just going to leave the vvt unplugged
there are usually alot power with VVT tuning when boosted, also as it affect spool much, but on the top end it can change much. atleast on hondas the stock VTC map even doesn't come close to a tuned one on boost.@@pattyboi
