SU is super loud, but as a person who was standing in front of this, if Southern didn't have to deal with weather issues, ASU would have gone toe to toe with them. And by that I mean they were invited to this event but couldn't make it.
(1.) This lone tune was the only time they hit w/this kinda power that day, that season. (2.) Bama State had the most powerful moment. JState was still the most powerful band there. (3.) ‘08 Jukebox would’ve put them boys in the cut. 💯
Bama State is literally two sizes bigger than J-State. J-State alumni,face it, You guys were blown out at a band competition. Just imagine, when you play them,they will be much louder.....ooooohhhh!!! Scary!!! See ya at connection day J-State!
Wrong we was only missing one person and it was my cousin. He played the tuba and he missed the bus cause he overslept. We went to Florida and traveled all the way back to Huntsville the next day for the battle of the bands at AAMU. Get ur facts shr8.

But one thing we kept in mind was to never go down without a fight. That's one thing they teach you when you join a HBCU marching band. Unless you're marching in a MEAC band. LOL!!!!!!!!!!
Whats up with the Musicality stuff? I could hear the mellos pretty clearly. I personally thought that was a great arrangement for them already knowing they are a Power Song School. The same dude who composed this did "Take a Bow" as well and that sounded Beautiful. Plus any band member can judge the technicality of arrangements and HATE all day, but when it comes down to it, the crowd is the TRUE Judge of any band battle. And the Winner is...I rest my case! For the record, I dont go to ASU.

This is a marching band, trying to stay at a certain level (SWAC level) of not only keeping the crowd awake and alert, but giving the song that extra umph that power bands are known to have. At that tempo...it gives folks too much room to short change notes and miss-time coming in, as evident here, if you put this under a band microscope. BamaSt. ain't exactly known as the great endurance band. And, on songs like this...my suggestion would help
