- I had once heard there was a tribe where people had long necks due to a neck brace like fixture in the form of metal rings. Today, I wanted to find out if that was true so I rented a boat with family and headed towards the border of Myanmar and Thailand to meet the long neck tribe. This is what I found.

I understand that this was traditionally a cultural practice. But opponents now think it could be exploitative, that the use of the rings can cause permanent body disfigurement.
