// My Story
I am currently a software developer who once modeled and thought I wanted to pursue a career in the fashion industry. While I was modeling in Hong Kong, I eventually felt the desire to further my education. I decided to depart the modeling world and move back to Canada, knowing that could be the end of my modeling opportunities. I attended Ryerson University for GCM (Graphic Communications Management), as I thought I might still work in the fashion industry in another capacity. It was in my last year of university, I was introduced to a very basic coding course. I instantly fell in love. From there I knew I wanted to pursue software development but didn't have a clue where to start. I didn't want to go back to university as I just completed a four-year degree. I decided to enroll in a 10-week intensive coding Bootcamp. From there I started working at a small startup learning and growing my technical and soft skills. I then transitioned to a larger company where I am a software developer and technical consultant today.

Hey tiff! Can't use ChatGPT right now so hoping to use it in the future!!!
I used it for everything searches and I never used google now in weeks. I'm avoiding google because I want less dopamine like no images, ads, etc. I am now aware of not seeing these things in google. I am happy to use chatGpt because it's very simple and gives precise answers. Sometimes the chatGPT crashes but it doesn't matter to me. By the way, I am an aspiring web developer :))

Great video. I think I would have Twilio send me a reminder text - remembering someone’s birthday is a thoughtful gesture and it makes people happy when you remember. So adding that fail safe and sending a personal text seems more genuine hehe. But thanks for the tip! 😊

I was building a calendar type thing in Python as well, and I was tripping all over my code and I threw up my hands and went "you know what I'm just going to ask chatgpt to figure it out" and it did way better than me (I had a silly mistake that I overlooked), and I was worried I was obsolete. Thanks for putting AI into perspective: they are our assistants :)
wow! Thank you for sharing! Yes, I know it keeps on being repeated but you wont become obsolete: we need to evolve and grow with tech not fight tools that can help us!

@@TiffInTech I did not! I am going to view those videos! That sounds so cool! I have a background in social sciences so it is a different mindset from the sense of how to understand humans compared to technology and coding understandings. I think it is worth the journey and I am excited!
ChatGPT helps a lot.
I personally think that as of now it thrives on explaining and helping us understand some stuff (specially for beginners).
I mean, you prompt something to it and it returns to you a very well documented code.

Nice one! I am Java developer, but in Python I am making helper scripts and with chatGPT and it's really fast. Because I do not want to google how should I create and easy script in Python :) With ChatGPT I have what I need in 5 - 10 minutes.

Thank you! To record my screen I use the built in "quicktime" player on mac. To record myself I use a Sony camera :)

Great video as always Tiff! Shows exactly how ChstGPT can be used as a tool and not something that's going to make us all redundant. I find it particularly useful when debugging obscure errors.
On a side note, I'm considering immigrating from Ireland to Canada upon graduating from my computer science degree in August, and I'm wondering if you or anyone in the community has any knowledge in relation to immigration from Europe or can point me in the direction of any good resources. From what I've found online so far it seems imperative for me to find a job prior to applying for any sort of visa so if anyone has any knowledge on good places to look for graduate tech jobs I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance :)

Could you show how to use twilio api, and chatgpt, to be able to send bulk sms for b2b outreach, and have chatgpt handle all incoming replies accordingly and try to get them to book a call on a calendly?
I will do this, not because I am bad at remembering dates, but because I want to do this for decades after I am dead.
I would randomize and do different variants of 'Happy birthday' and set an appropriate time range (morning to evening) for sending the message so it doesn't look automated. While automation is great and all, you also got to put the 'human' element into it. Otherwise, you might risk offending people, Tiff! 😅🤣

Or hookup the chatGPT api and have it send a custom birthday prompt
why stop with happy birthday... send i love you messages automated to yourself and to your spouce. perhaps take a list of all the dates of things like happy thanksgiving, anniversary and substitute your appreciation for an automation! LIFE would be easier if you never had to tell people things all the time. then automate the check in hours at your work. that way you can go to the beach and all of your phone calls can be answered and responded with speechelo.

Everyone learns differently! For me I like reading and watching videos! I would suggest searching it up lots of free online tutorials
OK, so that was easy. Get it to go to your Google contacts, extract all birthdays available, and send test messages to any that are due, using the phone number in the contact list.

You are my favorite ex-model but I feel like fully automating a birthday greeting makes it less personal. It's like my father sending me a check for Christmas. No thought put into it. I just have my calendar remind me a week or so before someones birthday so I can send a card.
I've been having fun with GPT but I realize having it create scripts for me isn't helping me learn Python. 😒
