I seriously believe airplane tickets should be sold in accordance with bodyweight. You get weighed as you board the plane and your ticket price is increased or decreased accordingly since weight is directly related to how much fuel the aircraft must burn to get to the destination. And i say this a someone who is 6'3, 270 muscular pounds (50" chest, 39" waist)

@@colossusX1 YES, YES AND YES!!!! agree 💯. The airfare price being directly related to your weight is not only logical because as you said, a person's weight effects the amount of fuel used/needed, but it also levels the playing field. You're not discriminated against, it's just the policy. One airline has implemented this, in New Zealand

I went to school in the '60's and '60's. The number of heavy or obese students was very few.
Take a gander at the supermarket or mall today. the heavies are the majority in all age groups.
Obesity is linked to more than 60 chronic diseases.
In 1990, 11.6 percent of American adults were obese. 2018, that percentage has risen to 31.3 percent. In 2018 alone, obesity increased by 5 percent, the largest year-over-year increase since 2014.
Sugar is everywhere and people are addicted to it.
Try to find a packaged food in the supermarket that does not contain sugar - not too many to choose from.
With so much sugar in almost everything it is very difficult to avoid.
Doctors, pharma and the CDC are not helpful by continuing to recommend the low fat/high carb diet.
Americans need to wake up, change their eating habits, get off the couch and get healthy.

I grew up in the rural south in the ‘70s. Like many of my friends, I was the first generation in my family to be born in a hospital and taken home to a house with indoor plumbing. There was a lot of poverty and not a lot of educated folks around. No one went to the doctor. And virtually no one under the age of 50 or so was fat. I remember a literal handful of kids, in a school of over 2000 (huge county), who were obese.
You ate when Mom cooked fresh food for you, and you got tossed outside to play to give her some peace. Neither of those factors seem to be around now, sadly.

It is amazing the rate of consumption on just random unnecessary status stuff like you say. Phones, tablets, watches, clothes, cars, jewellery. Best thing you can spend money on is healthy food, a gym membership, a good mattress and pillow and a decent pair of running shoes to walk or run in. Regularly. The less time you spend thinking about products to buy and buying them, the less generally burdened you'll feel. Exercise and healthy eating is not a cure-all but it's the very next best thing.

I deal with it and don’t complain to the airline. I traded in my last car for a car where the seat went back further so I didn’t feel cramped. I am no better nor worse off than anyone else. *It’s not just about fitting in the airplane seats* the amount of fuel that goes into the plane is carefully calculated according to the weight the plane is carrying. This is why you have to pay more for heavier suitcases and why obese people can be asked to pay for two people. You’re paying for the extra fuel they have to use, not necessarily for two seats.

Brother I knew and I know how to lose weight... and I lost 75 pounds... I was 26.5 BMI and now I'm 24.5... losing weight is a pain, but it becomes easier when you put time and mental hard work.. I didn't hit the gym at all to lose weight... I did intermittent fasting... long story short on how I did it... I took alka seltzer for the acids in the stomach 2 times a week the first month because the metabolism of a fat person in the stomach it produces 2 or 3 times the acids then a skinny person and is a pain when I did start doing intermittent fasting... after the first month I didn't take any more alka seltzer... 6 days or 13 days strict with intermittent fasting and 1 day of cheating... and I lose 75 pounds in 5 months without hanging skin... the hardest part is maintaining the focus... but, it becomes easier if you cheat the brain though and do it for something you like... example a women you like or a goal you want to make personally... personally when I was fat I felt depressed all the time... now I'm more happier than ever... and I'm really more aware of how dangerous is becoming fat... when I was extremely obese I gain weight not because I was lazy, but because I didn't know what my body need... in every jobs I was the hardest worker and the strongest one but I was obese... sometimes I did work fiscally in 2 jobs... one time I spend 3 moths every two weeks works 3 days without sleep literally 72 hour just working... I tell people that and they don't believe... to do that you have to be prepare mentally, haha... but yeah, I wasn't lazy... I just didn't know how to eat and every year that was passing by I was becoming more obese and with health issues... so yeah, is hard to lose weight... but, anyone can do it... and is easier if you do it in small goals... by the way, I'm from Cuba, now I`m living in Florida... so for anyone reading this, yes you can do it

IÂŽm larger built (meaning, when my fat percent is normal, IÂŽm still larger than average). And then, in 2013, I on top gained 55lbs within 2 months because of a hypothyroidism. I succeeded to stop the weight gain there, eventually, switching to a no starch diet reversed it and started losing weight. Anyway, while I was at that weight, I took a plane, and I still fitted in the seats, without overlapping one bit on the seats next to me (so I didnÂŽt bother anyone). Just to say that one needs to be pretty big not to fit in a plane seat.
I got it again last year (I had started to eat starches again) so I gained weight again, and now being pregnant, I still managed to lose a few lbs of it again (though more difficult since I had like 2 months of nausea where stupidly only unhealthy food would somewhat calm it down)...
But when weÂŽre at the pitty party, where are the SJW for autism? I am autistic, many things also arenÂŽt made for me. A lot of parties are too loud, festivities outside can quickly bring an overload, shops have too bright lights, bad smell, too loud music ect...Where are we complaining? The only thing I wish was different is that I wish people would be more open to get to know and integrate autistic people, because since most of us stink at small talk and most beginning of getting to know each other start with small talk...
Unlike my weight, I canÂŽt change how my brain is wired.
Also about fat people, most people on Polynesian Island have the "fat gene", yet, outside from very high ranked people who were made fat on purpose, there was no weight issues until the American diet reached them...

If lights are too bright in stores, wear sunglasses. If music is too loud for you, wear ear plugs. If you can’t do that, stay the fuck home.
Life sucks for EVERYONE. We’re all mentally diseased. It’s part of modern life. 200 years ago you’d have to either “tough it up” or not survive. The modern world is what allows people to be, soft, lazy, stupid, etc. If you can do a job a monkey can do you can “succeed” in the modern world.

    Grades 1-12, faculty, employees photogrraphed.
I checked: found 5 obese and maybe 15 chubby-fat kids.
That's it. An average size school..everyone else were fit and healthy. Lots of outdoor play, sports, boating, etc.
So..from 1962 to today...the majority of this country has turned to
buckets of mush. Processed foods, cheap drive-thru junk food and laziness. I eat well &_exercise..losing weight and it's a lifestyle change. I keep that yearbook as a reminder.

Second, you will lose fat and your stomach will shrink, so you'll get full with less food. Also, you will save money on things like clothing, etc.

My little one ,aged Six gained about 10 lbs quarantine weight since last April..I researched, and started learning to cook low carb from scratch...I have been keto for two years... And in January 2021, I started swapping his faves, cut his carbs ( the junk) made him low carb pizza pockets, Chaffle burgers, keto cookies etc ...he lost 6 lbs in January... he was already getting a very round belly...( We used to excercise by walking to and from school , him and his brother before Covid) I stopped that shit soon as I saw that this was only going to continue to get worse ( boredom probably) ...he's been such a good sport..I'm teaching him about the bad effects of sugar..he knows his clothes were fitting him snug... Started letting him back outside on his scooter ... He took this new way of eating healthier better than most of those damn body positivity whiners. They just don't want to try. I'm proud of my son..hes got 4 lbs left to go..but since he likes the way he , we are now eating..I'm enjoying cooking from scratch .we are in no rush. One thing though..he does look forward to his 3 x a week Clif Bars...I know I know... baby steps though.. and they're his one treat..he has one while he runs around outside in the yard lol... also we asked him , my boyfriend and I what did he want to as a little reward for putting in the effort this month...he said he wanted to go to the Mountains..so we all went to the mountains, letting the boys climb trees, skip rocks in the water and hiking. I love hiking, I used to work in the mountains when I was 18... And I'm glad my son also enjoyed it...I think it helps knowing mom is on a low carb lifestyle..I already reached my goal..this is just how I eat now.. and my boyfriend just started keto month of January as well, he's lost over 20 lbs ... So he, my son , isn't alone..his autistic 8 yr old brother is skinny and picky ( I tried swapping some stuff for him too..heard about the GAPS diet, but he started losing weight, 2 lbs, and I can't have that, so yeah he still eats the processed stuff) but that is why it makes me even more proud of my six year old...he didn't play the " why can he have that ?" card... Anyway that's all.

I'm not trying to compare handicapped persons with fat people but I think there should a similar approach in some specific instances in order to improve the health of the patients.
Just to be clear, I'm not saying we should baby, coddle or enable those who are obese. That's counterproductive. Just thinking that some may need help and we should make it a tad more accessible.

There's a few things you will never hear obese and morbidly people complain about and that's wiping their fucking ass, seeing their genitiles without using a mirror and tending to delicate areas of skin which is dry, itchy, chaffing, sore and or scared from poor healing. Need I go on... I have a sister who is morbidly obese and to this day still complains about her limitations out in the world and refuses to acknowledge that it is her carrying 2 extra humans on her body that is the problem. I laugh, and then I cry and then I get angry because she has no self control. If my sister ever loses a few tens of pounds she gains it all back and more. I made it clear to her last year that if she becomes immobile I will not be wiping her fucking ass... Its lead by example always and I certainly practice what I preach. Shredded 90lbs I have, changed my eating habits for the better and sculpted my body. For 4 years I have maintained a healthy balance between my physical health & wellbeing and the shit life throws at you between the pleasant times. 6 years altogether since I decided I was, 'sick and tired, of being sick and tired of being fat', and guess what my sister has gained more fat đŸ€Šâ€â™€ïžSmh.

I disagree with that "if you'd want to, you could change it"-idea, because it makes everything look less complicated than it is. You definitely need an attitude like this, because if you don't think you can change, you can't, but just because you think you can change, doesn't mean that you can, because there's more to it. Not everyone can rely on their self-control, because impulsivity has neurological basis, just like appetite does. So for some people wanting to change is only the beginning of the whole path and they'll have to figure out strategies that work and that can take years. It always sounds so simple when you talk that way about weight loss, but I'm trying to lose weight for 2 years by now and i lost and gained weight a lot, because i have to take medication that increases appetite as a side effect, which caused my excess fat in the first place. The only thing i can do is try again and again, but always with a new approach. I just wanted to explain that there are a lot reasons why people haven't lost weight (yet) and that it's not always their fault.
