I seriously believe airplane tickets should be sold in accordance with bodyweight. You get weighed as you board the plane and your ticket price is increased or decreased accordingly since weight is directly related to how much fuel the aircraft must burn to get to the destination. And i say this a someone who is 6'3, 270 muscular pounds (50" chest, 39" waist)
@@colossusX1 YES, YES AND YES!!!! agree đŻ. The airfare price being directly related to your weight is not only logical because as you said, a person's weight effects the amount of fuel used/needed, but it also levels the playing field. You're not discriminated against, it's just the policy. One airline has implemented this, in New Zealand
Getting upset at other people about something you did to yourself is just ridiculous
This is perfect
that is the essence of playing the victim :)
Think of how big you need to not be able to fit into an MRI machine...
Also, open MRI exists. But theyâre harder to find.
Maybe if they could fit into an MRI machine, most of them wouldn't need one.
imagine being so big you cannot fit in a chair designed by experts to fit a human being.
@Nipdawg well fast food is cheaper than before that is why everyone has gotten so damn fat the fact that you also get a bigger food portion for the same/lower price is also a result of food getting cheaper.
Even when I was at my heaviest I could fit in a plane seat no problem these people are just so fat.
Nah they're extra small, because it is cheaper
@@burnoutparadise4793 Yeah so small that when I WAS fifteen stone I had no issue sitting in the chair comfortably.
Hahaha
@@kynhammer153 Fast food isnât all that cheap. If youâre eating it 1-2 times a day then it really adds up.
I remember when I sat down in a movie theatre seat and I almost didnât fit. My hips were squished the whole movie and suddenly I didnât feel like eating snacks. Lost 60 lbs since then
I'm but what about the cars seat, table seats that you say on before this? I don't get why it took U this particular seat to say U realised U were to big ... Bit silly
@@candicejaid6107 honestly i didnât realise with any of those seats because they donât have arms rests. I can even fit into a new movie theatre but this one was pretty old hence the smaller seats. And honestly I didnât even lose weight after this, it took me another year to 6 months
I went to school in the '60's and '60's. The number of heavy or obese students was very few.
Take a gander at the supermarket or mall today. the heavies are the majority in all age groups.
Obesity is linked to more than 60 chronic diseases.
In 1990, 11.6 percent of American adults were obese. 2018, that percentage has risen to 31.3 percent. In 2018 alone, obesity increased by 5 percent, the largest year-over-year increase since 2014.
Sugar is everywhere and people are addicted to it.
Try to find a packaged food in the supermarket that does not contain sugar - not too many to choose from.
With so much sugar in almost everything it is very difficult to avoid.
Doctors, pharma and the CDC are not helpful by continuing to recommend the low fat/high carb diet.
Americans need to wake up, change their eating habits, get off the couch and get healthy.
I grew up in the rural south in the â70s. Like many of my friends, I was the first generation in my family to be born in a hospital and taken home to a house with indoor plumbing. There was a lot of poverty and not a lot of educated folks around. No one went to the doctor. And virtually no one under the age of 50 or so was fat. I remember a literal handful of kids, in a school of over 2000 (huge county), who were obese.
You ate when Mom cooked fresh food for you, and you got tossed outside to play to give her some peace. Neither of those factors seem to be around now, sadly.
Thereâre hundreds of languages in the world, but you my guy, chose to speak facts
It is amazing the rate of consumption on just random unnecessary status stuff like you say. Phones, tablets, watches, clothes, cars, jewellery. Best thing you can spend money on is healthy food, a gym membership, a good mattress and pillow and a decent pair of running shoes to walk or run in. Regularly. The less time you spend thinking about products to buy and buying them, the less generally burdened you'll feel. Exercise and healthy eating is not a cure-all but it's the very next best thing.
âItâs not my faultâ is a pretty dubious claim for an obese person.
Heavy machinery are made for right handed people yâall are so left-handed phobic. Lol Iâm offended.
Exactly
Same!!

Pffft, what you didn't become ambidextrous to compensate at a young age?

Thank you đ that is hilarious. Oh my.. I didn't think with that image until I saw your comment. But now I can't unsee it.
However, they do provide shade for those storming the beaches.
Now just imagine what the MG42s in the bunkers would do to all that hamburger
"You need to double the size in everything!". Or you know you could lose weight and save the world's recorces.
I have a genetic disorder that severely limits protein and makes gaining weight very easy (my specially designed medical food is very high in calories) and being overweight is most definitely MY fault because, although my diet makes it more difficult to lose weight, it is still my responsibility to maintain my weight đ€·ââïž
I have pcos and endo. Gaining is easy losing is hard but never impossible. You got this!
Yeah, we got this because giving up is not an option. đȘđ»
I just rolled my eyes so hard from the fat acceptance rhetoric, I saw my brain
And I tied a knot in my optic nerve
They knew super tall people existed when they made chairs and hospital beds. By their logic, all chairs should be taller and beds should be longer to accommodate tall people and the price shouldnât change.
I am 5â9â but all my height is in my legs. My hubs is 6â2â and his legs are shorter. The moment I sit in a coach seat my knees are against the seat in front of me. I deal with it and donât complain to the airline. I traded in my last car for a car where the seat went back further so I didnât feel cramped. I am no better nor worse off than anyone else. I have always had to buy pants online because tall womenâs pants in retail stores are rare. I deal with it.
Iâm 5â4â with short legs for my height and narrow hips. Iâm the only person I know who has never felt uncomfortable squeezed into a coach seat. Airlines are designing for efficiency and survival, not comfort.
Also, I love how the fat-positive crowd tend to complain about nothing but first-world problems - airline seats, cute clothing, booths in fancy restaurants. They really canât understand that the world is not designed to pamper anyone all the time, including them.
Exactly the same for me, 5â10 - long legs. My knees are always jammed into the coach airplane seat in front of me. I canât cross my legs or move much, which sucks on long flights. But I suck it up, itâs only for a few hours out of my life. Weâre all different and have different challenges. I feel your pain with clothing too, very rare to find pants with long inseams. Have a great day!
Hello fellow tall girl. Iâve recently taken to buying one or two higher end pants a year because many of the higher end brands size their pants similar to standard menâs sizing, where there are several different inseam options for the same waist size. No more dealing with Capri/high water pants that were supposed to be full length.
Just gotta love how all of our profile pics feature catsđ» lol
Ok Iâm not skinny but my god the thumb nail me and my mom are going on a diet and start exercising again

A CT scan is a large unit. If it had to be large enough to fit a 600 pound person it would need a larger room. So the machine would cost another 10k and at an average of $32 per sq ft the room would cost $2000 more to build. So why should everyone share that bill?
I hate when I come here to early and there isn't any juicy comments
When I first started decided to lose weight my goal was seriously to be able to attend public events and sit comfortably. The day I didn't need an extender for the seatbelt on my plane trip and even had spare was one of the greatest moments of my life. On top of that, I have more energy, I don't ache all over like I used to, I am no longer diabetic, and life is so much better weighing less. These people that say we have to change everything to accommodate significantly larger sizes are f-ing ridiculous.
finding your channel was the final kick in the ass that i needed to get back into shape. thanks for being real!
Unless you're consuming your excess calories in straight sugar you could shift the money you spend on excess food, bigger clothes, etc. to less but better quality food.
*Itâs not just about fitting in the airplane seats* the amount of fuel that goes into the plane is carefully calculated according to the weight the plane is carrying. This is why you have to pay more for heavier suitcases and why obese people can be asked to pay for two people. Youâre paying for the extra fuel they have to use, not necessarily for two seats.
Just watched a video on a topic like this yesterday. You CAN love your body no matter the size, but you CANNOT be healthy if there is 600 pounds of pressure on your knees.
Hoping for a âSwole Revolutionâ shirts drop soon!đȘđœ

Fat bodies existing is not a problem- its a medical problem for those in the fat bodies and itâs a problem for me because they wont shut up
Brother I knew and I know how to lose weight... and I lost 75 pounds... I was 26.5 BMI and now I'm 24.5... losing weight is a pain, but it becomes easier when you put time and mental hard work.. I didn't hit the gym at all to lose weight... I did intermittent fasting... long story short on how I did it... I took alka seltzer for the acids in the stomach 2 times a week the first month because the metabolism of a fat person in the stomach it produces 2 or 3 times the acids then a skinny person and is a pain when I did start doing intermittent fasting... after the first month I didn't take any more alka seltzer... 6 days or 13 days strict with intermittent fasting and 1 day of cheating... and I lose 75 pounds in 5 months without hanging skin... the hardest part is maintaining the focus... but, it becomes easier if you cheat the brain though and do it for something you like... example a women you like or a goal you want to make personally... personally when I was fat I felt depressed all the time... now I'm more happier than ever... and I'm really more aware of how dangerous is becoming fat... when I was extremely obese I gain weight not because I was lazy, but because I didn't know what my body need... in every jobs I was the hardest worker and the strongest one but I was obese... sometimes I did work fiscally in 2 jobs... one time I spend 3 moths every two weeks works 3 days without sleep literally 72 hour just working... I tell people that and they don't believe... to do that you have to be prepare mentally, haha... but yeah, I wasn't lazy... I just didn't know how to eat and every year that was passing by I was becoming more obese and with health issues... so yeah, is hard to lose weight... but, anyone can do it... and is easier if you do it in small goals... by the way, I'm from Cuba, now I`m living in Florida... so for anyone reading this, yes you can do it
IÂŽm larger built (meaning, when my fat percent is normal, IÂŽm still larger than average). And then, in 2013, I on top gained 55lbs within 2 months because of a hypothyroidism. I succeeded to stop the weight gain there, eventually, switching to a no starch diet reversed it and started losing weight. Anyway, while I was at that weight, I took a plane, and I still fitted in the seats, without overlapping one bit on the seats next to me (so I didnÂŽt bother anyone). Just to say that one needs to be pretty big not to fit in a plane seat.
I got it again last year (I had started to eat starches again) so I gained weight again, and now being pregnant, I still managed to lose a few lbs of it again (though more difficult since I had like 2 months of nausea where stupidly only unhealthy food would somewhat calm it down)...
But when weÂŽre at the pitty party, where are the SJW for autism? I am autistic, many things also arenÂŽt made for me. A lot of parties are too loud, festivities outside can quickly bring an overload, shops have too bright lights, bad smell, too loud music ect...Where are we complaining? The only thing I wish was different is that I wish people would be more open to get to know and integrate autistic people, because since most of us stink at small talk and most beginning of getting to know each other start with small talk...
Unlike my weight, I canÂŽt change how my brain is wired.
Also about fat people, most people on Polynesian Island have the "fat gene", yet, outside from very high ranked people who were made fat on purpose, there was no weight issues until the American diet reached them...
Sorry but âparties are too loud and Iâm autisticâ is about the dumbest thing Iâve ever read. Itâs a fucking party. If youâre uncomfortable with loud environments, DONT GO TO THEM. If lights are too bright in stores, wear sunglasses. If music is too loud for you, wear ear plugs. If you canât do that, stay the fuck home.
Life sucks for EVERYONE. Weâre all mentally diseased. Itâs part of modern life. 200 years ago youâd have to either âtough it upâ or not survive. The modern world is what allows people to be, soft, lazy, stupid, etc. If you can do a job a monkey can do you can âsucceedâ in the modern world.
I have crippling anxiety. I donât go and say âwhy canât I smoke pot at work?â because it helps me.
@@Sheridantank Yeah thatÂŽs what IÂŽm saying.
I meant "where are the SJW for autism" as in, itÂŽs stupid to expect the world to change for a minority...Where in my comments did it seem as I was demanding society would change for me?
The only thing I wished would change, as I said before, is that people donÂŽt reject us for being different, thatÂŽs all. IÂŽm not expecting structures to be different to fit my needs...
@@Sheridantank Also IÂŽd advise you in case of doubt to ask people what they mean before jumping at their throat, saying what they say is "the dumbest thing youÂŽve ever heard"...
@@charlottemadadi
The first sentence of your second paragraph... it indicates that you want a pitty party and SJWs.

Iâm not rejecting you. The modern world is incredibly difficult. Everyone has their struggles whether itâs told to you by a doctor or not. We are not evolved/designed to live in the world as we do. Thatâs a lot to do with the health problems we have, both mentally and physically.
We all have to deal with it for the most part. Your opinions matter but there are things that just arenât going to change. Lights need to be brights in stores because of a person can even start to claim âI tripped because itâs darkâ they get sued. The best thing you, me, or anyone else who has difficulty with some aspects of life can do, is adjust.
When you said that about paying for phones, tvs and so on but can't buy like a gym card, healthier food or join some sport that u find fun cus its expensive is such a good argument and point. It's so true but never heard anyone say it out loud
Fat revolution? Haha How long would that last? Would they make it out of their homes? Their chairs? I think I can handle a fat revolution Iâll be ok

I went to college in US and everything, even salads contained sugar. Even cornbread. How?? And more importantly, why? I remember tasting it and being so disappointed because it's one of my favorite foods back home. And my college was bending over backwards to provide every kind of vegan and healthy foods. Even bacon is cooked with maple syrup. Why? Everything was three times sweeter than it needed to be. Thank God we had whole foods of every kind to choose from right there in the dining hall because I was even more mind blown in the super markets.

I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia (suicide disease) 3 years ago. I gave myself a few days to cry it out then I got to work. I refuse to take meds that will ruin me. I detoxed myself for 2 weeks then went on a Whole Foods plant based diet...no junk whatsoever. I felt sooo much better and pain decreased. Then I discovered Pilates & yoga which I do for 1.5 hours everyday. I can now function with minimal to no pain. Not only did I cure myself, I toned up, fixed my low blood sugar, increased my energy, started loving life again. My âdiseaseâ was the best nudge I needed. I was lucky to feel pain in advance, some people just stroke out and die on the spot from their disease.
Congrats to you and what you have accomplished.
Now, I suggest you do some study and then consider either low carb or keto as another step forward.

I found my 1962 school yearbook. ( I was cute in the 2nd grade.)
Grades 1-12, faculty, employees photogrraphed.
I checked: found 5 obese and maybe 15 chubby-fat kids.
That's it. An average size school..everyone else were fit and healthy. Lots of outdoor play, sports, boating, etc.
So..from 1962 to today...the majority of this country has turned to

we all have to adapt and change mentally and physically in our everyday lives. If you are that unhealthy and fat because you cant fit in a chair, walk through a door, get in an elevator or step up a ramp, maybe you need to reprioritize your life and issues.
The fat 'movement' is an oxymoron.
Ridiculous, im 200lbs and technically obese, I fit on a plane just fine, it's the super morbidly obese people that dont fit. Seats fit the majority
Excellent comments. One point I'd add is that healthy food is not more expensive than junk food. First, you will eat less healthy food than junk food, as it will keep you filled up for longer. Second, you will lose fat and your stomach will shrink, so you'll get full with less food. Also, you will save money on things like clothing, etc.
đŻ exactly!
The myth of âjunk food being cheaper than healthy foodâ has been debunked by a number of nutritionists. There are a number of CZcamsrs who make nourishing, healthy dishes that can feed 6-8 people for less than or equal to the cost of 1 adult fast-food âvalue mealâ.

My little one ,aged Six gained about 10 lbs quarantine weight since last April..I researched, and started learning to cook low carb from scratch...I have been keto for two years... And in January 2021, I started swapping his faves, cut his carbs ( the junk) made him low carb pizza pockets, Chaffle burgers, keto cookies etc ...he lost 6 lbs in January... he was already getting a very round belly...( We used to excercise by walking to and from school , him and his brother before Covid) I stopped that shit soon as I saw that this was only going to continue to get worse ( boredom probably) ...he's been such a good sport..I'm teaching him about the bad effects of sugar..he knows his clothes were fitting him snug... Started letting him back outside on his scooter ... He took this new way of eating healthier better than most of those damn body positivity whiners. They just don't want to try. I'm proud of my son..hes got 4 lbs left to go..but since he likes the way he , we are now eating..I'm enjoying cooking from scratch .we are in no rush. One thing though..he does look forward to his 3 x a week Clif Bars...I know I know... baby steps though.. and they're his one treat..he has one while he runs around outside in the yard lol... also we asked him , my boyfriend and I what did he want to as a little reward for putting in the effort this month...he said he wanted to go to the Mountains..so we all went to the mountains, letting the boys climb trees, skip rocks in the water and hiking. I love hiking, I used to work in the mountains when I was 18... And I'm glad my son also enjoyed it...I think it helps knowing mom is on a low carb lifestyle..I already reached my goal..this is just how I eat now.. and my boyfriend just started keto month of January as well, he's lost over 20 lbs ... So he, my son , isn't alone..his autistic 8 yr old brother is skinny and picky ( I tried swapping some stuff for him too..heard about the GAPS diet, but he started losing weight, 2 lbs, and I can't have that, so yeah he still eats the processed stuff) but that is why it makes me even more proud of my six year old...he didn't play the " why can he have that ?" card... Anyway that's all.

If things have to be made bigger shouldn't the people that need those items pay for these upgrades ? Oh right, it's not their fault
Edit: im fat but I'm "only" regular obese, about 20lbs over healthy bmi so I fit in seats (more so now that things have been made bigger already) and can shop in regular stores and I most definitely fit comfortably in an MRI machine so why should I pay for increases in MY taxes ?
Yup. I'm tall and so I need to buy tall sizes that cost more than regular sized clothes. I didn't cause this but I have to pay extra for it. Fat people need to pay extra for their accomodations...it's not my problem for their size
People just love to complain
I mean yes everyone knows many body types exist but obviously when manufacturing different items you go with the average or majority... Fucking CZcams! I'm not getting notified whenever salty sack is being dropped, dammit!
I do partially think that maybe hospitals should accommodate fat people a little more since it is a medical (avoidable of course) issue that puts your health at risk. I'm not trying to compare handicapped persons with fat people but I think there should a similar approach in some specific instances in order to improve the health of the patients.
Just to be clear, I'm not saying we should baby, coddle or enable those who are obese. That's counterproductive. Just thinking that some may need help and we should make it a tad more accessible.
YAAAASS QUEEN SLAY
I left for a while but I'm back. I miss my fat shaming like seriously I need to get my shit together.
Wow, what a bunch of whiners ! I gained weight since I had an accident an tore up my knee. But I'm working on losing the weight now. Even when I was thinner my femur is longer than normal so my knees always hit the seat in front of me in a plane. Live with it
marilyn monroe was considered beautiful and she was a size 16. Back then that was bigger for people. Also back in 1980, the WHO disregarded obesity. So she is wrong and it's not been a thing for obesity. Obesity has only become more so over the last 35 years.....
Being fat is a choice. Most people don't find it attractive and the existing world should not change because people are making poor decisions regarding their health.
đđđđđđđ
The only time a fat person bothers me by existing (HAES fat people make me SO ANGRY) is an airplane with a flight over 3hrs. Even then I get over it pretty quick. The kicker is what bothers me is that I have to bother them to go to the bathroom whereas most people I squeeze by (Iâm smol) so I feel awkward.
There's a few things you will never hear obese and morbidly people complain about and that's wiping their fucking ass, seeing their genitiles without using a mirror and tending to delicate areas of skin which is dry, itchy, chaffing, sore and or scared from poor healing. Need I go on... I have a sister who is morbidly obese and to this day still complains about her limitations out in the world and refuses to acknowledge that it is her carrying 2 extra humans on her body that is the problem. I laugh, and then I cry and then I get angry because she has no self control. If my sister ever loses a few tens of pounds she gains it all back and more. I made it clear to her last year that if she becomes immobile I will not be wiping her fucking ass... Its lead by example always and I certainly practice what I preach. Shredded 90lbs I have, changed my eating habits for the better and sculpted my body. For 4 years I have maintained a healthy balance between my physical health & wellbeing and the shit life throws at you between the pleasant times. 6 years altogether since I decided I was, 'sick and tired, of being sick and tired of being fat', and guess what my sister has gained more fat đ€ŠââïžSmh.
I'm not obese I can't fit in emergency exit seats on airplanes, so I have regular airplane seat and I'm more comfortable in. I mean the Emergency exit seats are so small and I'm cubby but not so cubby/ fat that can't get into an airplane.
Lazy, irresponsible, and most of all selfish.
Well, the human body was made to be 400+ lbs đ

I disagree with that "if you'd want to, you could change it"-idea, because it makes everything look less complicated than it is. You definitely need an attitude like this, because if you don't think you can change, you can't, but just because you think you can change, doesn't mean that you can, because there's more to it. Not everyone can rely on their self-control, because impulsivity has neurological basis, just like appetite does. So for some people wanting to change is only the beginning of the whole path and they'll have to figure out strategies that work and that can take years. It always sounds so simple when you talk that way about weight loss, but I'm trying to lose weight for 2 years by now and i lost and gained weight a lot, because i have to take medication that increases appetite as a side effect, which caused my excess fat in the first place. The only thing i can do is try again and again, but always with a new approach. I just wanted to explain that there are a lot reasons why people haven't lost weight (yet) and that it's not always their fault.
Unfortunately companies aren't going to sacrifice their profit to accommodate those who are morbidly obese so rest assured these shitposts will more than likely fall on deaf ears
They knew I was trying to lose weight when they built that McDonalds the bigots
Iâm just going to drop this video from 43 years ago right here - czcams.com/video/FbbXV2EgoE4/video.html. The more things change, the more things stay the same.
WOW - 74 thumbs up and 269 thumbs down.
That video would not be shown on TV today.
The fat people would own 60 Minutes and the TV station via lawsuits.
Because lots of fat people weren't a phenomenon until 40 or so years ago. It's eating lots of calories and little movement for 99% of obese people.
But then couldn't we argue that fat people
build (destroy) themselves to not fit into the world? Would that not also be a valid argument? When you are doing something that has not been the norm for the majority of the time and population and is/has been against the standard of an industry, shouldn't you be the one to modify? The needs of many outweigh the wants of one?
I'm 5'2". The world isn't made for short people either. We all got our problems. She doesn't have to be fat though. So tired of the whining
