This can't be not a series. Because there are at least a dozen moments that we can't without talking about. Just last year alone had that unexpected Pakistan-arc in Tekken. And not talking about that legendary Daigo parry would be blasphemy for an FGC fan.
Also at 8:06 LTG didnt kept quiet after that loss and wash mouth thing lol, he went on and said it was just a video game lol (despite he was the one who made it personal in the 1st place) and start pulling racist card. True clown of FGC indeed.

Fchamp and KBR indeed one of the best ever. Fchamp really was a great villain FGC needed. Smack talk much but unlike LTG, he got skill to back it up, and one of the best player back then. Similar to leffen story i guess.
I hated his attitude but i idolized his Magneto gameplay.

it made his Loss to Iheartjustice so amazing though, it was like watching the side joke character go into his "time to fight seriously" mode

I found your channel because of your Vtuber reactions, and I know very little about fighting games. As such, I greatly appreciate your ELI5 breakdown of the terminology, mechanics, characters, and key players of the scene as well as just your awesome story telling.
I think Daigo parry still takes the number 1 spot, its basically what sparked competitive play, because nowadays tournament are indeed for the best of the best but realistically its a means to show off
that happened in 2004 most found fighting games to natural of competitiveness is kinda built in gaming period so nah -Evo- moment 37 ain't spark Comp play games were a social thing from the start as pong had multi player (i know pong the most simplest game) but still
I hope this series will continue. I like the story behind these matches.

You NEED to talk about BBCP grands at EVO 2014. That set is what solidified fighting games as my favorite genre.
Koe please make this a series. There’s so much stuff that you can talk about. Like Rico and Sanford at NLBC (the stick spike and Rico’s mentos moment afterwards), Wong’s dominance at MVC2 and the santhrax that killed it, Fchamp constantly being a villain, Chris G and team Problem, and so much more
You could spend a whole episode talking about the GO1/SonicFox rivalry, and I would be 1000% DOWN

Just like koe once said, fighting game is like an anime storyline and the tournament is the place where our main chatacter fight against different opponents with different kind of skilled and style
FCG is like WWE but real. Ironically, FGC is about fighting on computer games and WWE is on real stages. But the emotion is same :))
and many in the FGC are big on wrestling fans lil majin being one to many hype moments in both i remember being into wrestling way way back but the FGC is way better with highs and lows and all the spicy mix up's, Tech, anime arc's and villains to hailed legends to scene's small and big world wide! as Street Fighter is world wide with many being from all over the FGC is the same (RIP the hype) but online events came to save the hype! just need good netcode but can't replace offline & that irl crowd hype!

@@Gabrielfrota well it shaped better to had to as most things but many deemed classic moments to key points won't prop happen any time soon to the dynamic of fight games ain't the same ether no MvC, SF is ass, DOA basically is a gacha game, Tekken is hype but shit netcode (if S4 actually fixes it) but then we all older now mainly but still some anime arc's that can happen which is always great as the rise of Pakistan in Tekken best anime come up arc lol

i saw most these from Core-A-gaming to many doc's on these FGC full of so many people got many favorites most mine aren't the hailed legends but i respect those who shaped the scene for the better to from the place where smash boomed at (shocks me still) to glad some fan fav's are from here too.

The FChamp, CBR match is an example of hubris. FChamp gave CBR 10 games to download him right before the tourney, and it cost him the championship.
