I think Kyle Conner is open to Vinfast improving over time like any new EV manufacturer should. In fact he’s leased a VF8 for one of his employees and has had plenty of good things to say about it despite some software teething issues during a long trip they took with it from the dealer to his podcast hosts home several states away. She named it ‘Spring Roll’ and loves it. I’m not sure I would lump ‘Out of Spec Reviews’ into the same category as “Fully Charged”. Kyle is who you go to for all the nerdy details that you never get from a typical reviewer. In fact, he’s a bit like you in criticizing bad practices by large corporations. Hell, he started “Rate Your Charge” on Twitter/X to expose DC charger maintenance issues that plague the public charging infrastructure here in the states.
Actually John Cadogan of “Auto Expert” regularly calls out these carmakers for their faults and foibles.

This is a tough dilemma for reviewers. Access vs. Honesty. I appreciate the honesty. Your honesty regarding VW's software troubles was extremely valuable to me as a consumer. True independence is hard to find and a gem when you find it. Thank you!
