- In part 2 of our look at how AC75s work, foiling guru, double Olympic medallist, 8 x world champion and former America's Cup helmsman Nathan Outteridge, who has also spent months watching the AC fleet in detail, explains to Matt Sheahan about how crews handle their AC75s. In this feature the main focus is about how teams fly their machines and how they have made such big improvements.

Mind boggling. Awesome content. I fly planes, I sailed dinghies - the physics of these boats has my head spinning - and loving it. I hope more content like this can be created after the cup is won and MAYBE some more tech and secrets can be shared - wishful thinking. Amazing boats 👏🏻👏🏻 great channel. Thankyou 🙂
Love the Commentary. so much to learn just listening to really passionate professionals "chatting" about a sport they know and love.
The no.1 ingredient for a quality outcome is quality people. Matt bringing in Nathan led to an interview full of insights. Wonderful stuff. Thank you!
Fascinating, I will now watch the races again with much more appreciation and understanding.

Love the commentary. Always lots to learn.
Absolutely fantastic discussion on flight control. This is the most enlightening explanation of how these boats fly I've seen.
Very interesting, it really highlights just how technical the AC75s are. Looking forward to your next report.

Mat your show is the best.
I only put that comment for the Spinlock guys :) but I really do want to congratulate you on this particular interview. fascinating stuff and a great style from Nathan - thank you.
I’m truly impressed with the knowledge and the commentators being able to express their thoughts at a level of understanding that I can follow. Please keep the videos coming! Have fun!
A long way from the twelves... love your coverage.
Great info to help understand a very complicated boat! Fascinating.
Fantastic video! It’s so wonderful to hear someone with experience really get to speak their mind about the ins and outs of these AC75’s. I would love to see another interview with questions focused on the Prada cup, the changes he saw in the three challenger boats, and obviously a bit of talk about THAT capsize.
CZcams "mossy sails" great insight
Educational and interesting channel. Probably best channel
This is the best insite to the Americas Cup series I have found. I love the racing, but my goodness 50kts is nuts. Please enter me in the grab bag.

Love the Commentary ❤️
This discussion of how the foils & pitch are used is brilliant. Coupled with the Mozzy Sails foil tech discussions it’s really intriguing. Good stuff Nathan.
Thanks for the technical insight. Amazing to watch the future unfold!
thanks guys, always an education listening to you both
Love the commentary. Especially great to get a seasoned racers POV about critical crew input to design development and different approaches to optimising boat control. Was wondering if Burling was on the ball early on. Nathan's observation that Burling then "owned Dean" ( probably getting a "rocket") answered that question. Hopefully the boats are close in speed and it gets down to best sailors duking it out. Look forward to next episode ... this one was excellent.
Love the commentary❤️, also absolutely loved these in depth vids, helps wrap your head around these beasts of machine
Great questions from Matt and insights from Nathan. Keep ‘em coming!

Love the commentary ❤ Honestly, I've been waiting so impatiently since they unveiled the concept, through all the team secrecy, to get some well-educated observations and guesses like these about how they're making it work -- and your chat was a great format for it. Been following and enjoying your other content, too. The background noise really wasn't that bad! 😉
Yep totally agree with other comments
Thinking about all the forces at play and the physics involved during the manoeuvres as well as still keeping a human element is impressive to say the least.
