Another remote, the only thing I like about it is that as you said, it is easy to setup with the sim but very nice job Pete. I may have to buy one.
💯New to your channel, youtube recommended it very glad i watched it, very nice, very informative especially for us old timer 🍒's to the new tech world of RC. Always flew RTF so this is my first real radio's, i ended up getting this one and the Zorro 4-1 radio. I like how you show a zoomed in clear screen shot of the radio's screen as you explain and set it up! I have been watching lots of videos on this and i will say you are one of the best informative on how to set up the radio to include how to set up for a flight simulator! Thank you... One thing i wish Radio Master would do with the TX12 Mark ll like the big brother TX16S Mark II MAX Radio Controller (Customized Version), to do a in house fully customized version of this radio would be awesome, not all of us have that skill of tearing things apart and doing the upgrades. When i tell people that they laugh, i then say how many NASCar drivers / test pilots do you see working on the car there racing/ or flying, you have drivers & pilots and you have mechanics! Just saying my point of view! Safe flying... Thank You, P.S put a bug in Radio Master ear about doing a fully customized version of this radio it would be nice to see it happen!

Most controllers ship with aetr and to I fly taer so I'll erase all default models and set it to taer in the radio set up page and then create new models so the new models will reflect the taer config.

Nice review as always, I still use the original Jumper T8SG and have a V3 in reserve if the original ever fails. Most are going to ELRS which is great, but with what i fly and how little I get to fly now days, I doubt I will ever change from my current equipment . But nice to know there is a cheaper Tx out there and a ELRS set up that does not break the bank
Thanks for the comment. Yes, looks like everything is going up in price. I mean everything! It is good to have good reliable equipment at a decent price. You know, you now have to pay $3 for a loaf of the crappy Wonder bread. Ridiculous! Nothing wonderous about that. You want a good decent quad, $300 U.S.!!! Remote id coming soon too! I may just sim it!!
@@RCEscape Worse being on a fixed income, prices are horrible for sure .I am flying sub 250 now days anyway. All my larger fixed wings etc are dust collectors and only flying micro quads and will stick with what i have for now to old to change ( when I get to fly that is ) I have been playing video games instead of flying, to hot and to much rain and my old bones ache...Lol

That's why I was looking at the DJI FPV drone combo. You get the goggles and the drone and the tx. The fly more bundle gets you more batts too.

Is your drone pre tuned? Because tuning sets speed of props at idle. If I tune me radio right now it’d prob take off flying. I just built it. Havent tuned anything. Don’t know how. So it’s just going to set there

Hi....wonderfull video... amazing new kid on the block. What is the power output of the elrs module... nobody talk about this point in the reviews of this radio... thanks from advance.
This one doesn't tell you what the power out is but the original tx12 has Transmitting Power of 20dbm and the Antenna Gain is 2db so I'm assuming similar?
If you are referring to the mW output, it is 250mW

Whether the firmware of the new Radiomaster TX12 Mk2(ELRS) needs to be updated or not so that it can be connected to the RP2.
it needs to be updated to match the pre-fix number of the version or they will not bind.

It should bind if they are the same 3. variation elrs. Perhaps it didn't download correctly? Try re downloading it?

ELRS receiver communicate with FMU through CRSF protocol. PX4 does not support this protocol. So, in order to do this you need to include a CRSF to SBUS converter.
The 3 minute timer is just a reminder for 3 minutes.

I've made a mistake and bought 3.6v li-ion batteries instead of 3.7v. Is it dangerous to use these ones with TX12 or not?
You can use them but be careful when you go to charge them.

it doesn't change the stick input or anything but the sequence in the channel mapping.
@@RCEscape bacon ninja told me all the racers use aear (spelling?) I don’t understand how you can arm yours? You haven’t set the speed of motors yet? It have you. If I follow this video and arm mine it might take off. I just built it.

if you feel aetr is better then use it. just set the channel mapping to aetr in betaflight. If you use taer, just set the channel mapping to taer., in betaflight It is really very simple.

I had the same problem. Turn off the radio and turn it back on. For me, clicking on ExpressLRS on a preloaded model will freeze. I wish I could get Bluetooth to work. When I click "Enter" to enable Bluetooth, nothing happens even after updating firmware. I like this radio but the lack of documentation really sucks, same goes for EdgeTX Companion. I guess we're supposed to figure it out.
Too bad the 4in1 version doesn't support the BlueTooth HID mode. :(
The first version? No, that one does not support bluetooth. I did ask Radiomaster if they were going to release a MK2 version of the 4in1 TX12 and the answer was a no for the 4in1 chip is going to be fazed out.
@@RCEscape No, the mark 2. Their website says it will be shipping next month. It also says only the ELRS version supports Bluetooth. I just think that's a bummer because it would be a nearly perfect starter/student radio for fixed wing (ELRS receivers are almost all drone oriented) if it had the BT feature. The Bluetooth would be perfect for students with their Chromebooks.
The adversing say Radio multi protocolo when you purcase it, they say it is not multiprotocolo you nedd purchase other module.
it is either elrs or cc2500. read through the product page to confirm the cc2500 has the protocol you need. if not, you will need the jp4in1
if this is the case, you should get the elrs version so you will have both elrs and 4in1. don't get the cc2500 because the 4in1 has the cc2500 module.
It should be a EdgeTX 4in1 with an ELRS or CRSF external module. ELRS is not as common or needed for fixed wing and heli RC pilots. Radio master caters to FPV drone pilots.
You can still put a JP4in1 external module.

once you find out what receiver it uses, you can then find out the protocol. Then you can set the tx12 ( multi protocol version ) to that protocol.
