Cool pouch. Something I’d personally add might be a $20. Never know when you might lose your wallet
As much as most people hate it you should always carry cash on you because it’s accepted everywhere
I’ve got a £20 note in a capsule on my keys. It gets used maybe twice a year, usually with food or coffee stands where their card/contactless machines have gone down.
Lmaoo that way it’s 100% a purse 👜 😂😂😂 I like the “manly” touches soyboys
@@user-st3xv7dc3syou’d rather not be able to pay for gas. Sounds pretty manly
@@ungabunga6735i’ve had plenty of places not accept cash. Always have both
My favorite thing about this pouch set up is it’s pretty damn impressive how much you were able to pack inside it and still be comfortable in your pocket. True I’d switch a couple things out for other stuff I would need but that’s because I’d need them for work. Which is where something like this would be perfect for
First off I would just like to say that I love how positive you are with your words and how clean your videos are. I just happened to stroll across your page a couple months ago and i’ve learned a lot about a lot of EDC micro and regular everyday carry stuff. I think you have such a great thing going here and I hope your channel keeps growing because I love it. My favorite thing was the flint that’s hidden when you need it. Happy days my friend. - Trev
First time on your channel, great video! My favorite thing? The “effort” you put in to the case itself (which is awesome) to improve your EDC, because we learn and change for the better and so do products. On top of that you shared with us what works and doesn’t work and provided links so we can make purchases (every one appreciates that!). Thanks again for the video. Take care.
The Leatherman Micra is my favorite thing from this setup. Having good scissors is extremely handy! But, I'm definitely going to pick up a pocket pouch. I've been carrying a Maxpedition micro for over 3 years.
Thanks Taylor - my favorite thing in your pouch is probably the Cable Card. I feel like I would need to have one of those on hand at all times. Thanks for sharing!
The KableCARD would be my favorite thing. Having just entered van life, we are downsizing everything we can. ~Randy
I always enjoy your videos. There is something about the great lighting, woodgrain desk and clarity of focus that makes it always enjoyable to chill and drool over your EDC gear.
My favorite thing is the TPT safe-carry inserts - I bought a pack of those and use them with my GilTek RUK sometimes. Love that they’re TSA approved!!
I find a Victorinox Classic SD to be one of the most useful tools to carry, especially the tweezers. Other bits and pieces I like to carry for urban survival tasks include a small notebook, a ballpoint pen, a magnifying glass, microfibre cloth, and a Streamlight Microstream. Cool video, thanks Taylor.
The Classic SD is indeed the best small tool ever. I've had one in the Keychain for over a decade, and use it twice a week. I gifted some to family and friends who are not in the hobby, and everyone loves them.
Survived 40+ years without an edc pouch, and sometimes my trusted victorinox.
@@CyberBeep_kenshithen you didn’t do enough brother .
@@PiLLO360 lol, you have no idea....
My favorite is the KableCARD. Love how efficiently that is designed! I love my Lever Gear kits but this might just replace them. The wireless charge feature is awesome!
Great to see Taylor - thanks for sharing.
I have loved the tip about the "Big Idea Design TPT Safe-Carry Inserts" I love having them in fact a bought a few extra and have one attached to the magnet on my office desk hutch so it's always in easy reach. You just reminded me that I need to get a few more as gifts and such. Thank you for the Awesome content!!
Hey Taylor. Nice, well thought out setup. Creative use of the TPT insert with the mini/micro ferro rod.
Not sure if it counts as “put in” but I definitely think the zipper pull is the coolest thing about the entire set up.
Keep up the great vids man.
Nice. I’ve put together a similar EDC pouch, for myself and my wife, based on a UK CZcamsr’s similar pouch. I wish I’d known about the Cable Card before I got the Cable kit. I’m amazed how much utility you fit in that small pouch.
You need the WIHA 13-piece double sided bit driver set. They work amazingly with the Leatherman’s Ratchet and Driver Extension. They have the same kind of notch that the double-sided flat bits have. They fit very well into it but they are not hard to remove like others.
i was looking to see if anyone have said it already. you nailed it!
Wiha double ended bits - for the driver. But keep in mind that when the standard size bits, when magnetically retained, will still be hard to pul out because the LM ratchet is much deeper then a standard 1/4 extension/driver usually is.
I was about to write the same thing. I have had the wiha kit on my amazon list thinking between buying it and not to have bits for my leatherman adapter
@@noe_calles link to the product?
Great stuff. One suggestion, with the spark rod hold it with the SOG pliers and put the hair band to keep tension on it thus making a spark rod with a full sized handle.
The Leatherman Micra is my favriot thing because I've had one and found it to be extremely useful. Thank you for another awesome video😁
Absolutely love this idea. Honestly it’s pretty hard to just choose one. I really like the Leatherman ratchet, paired with the SOG powerpint, but also really like the KableCARD. I’m definitely going to put one together for myself. Thanks for the video.
My favorite thing is the Leatherman ratchet to go with your powerpint. It makes absolute perfect sense. I would personally ditch the nail clippers tweezers and the micra for some kind of slim bit storage to solve that problem
I haven't tried it, but that looks like it would be slip city when attempting to apply anything beyond 80% of screw driver level of torque. Victorinox makes a little bit driver wrench / bit-caddy system that is smaller than the multi-tool itself and will let you reach way higher torque. Don't get me wrong, that Leatherman ratcheting driver extension looks slick and I might just have to find an excuse to buy one.
I carry it Chum's wallet with a small Altoids tin with with 3mm to 12 mm bits and I've got everything in metrics quarter inch drive bits torques Robinsons Phillips all the way up to three in large flats and one in this tins I carry a Craftsman ratchet knipex cobras xs. a rite in the rain pen and a 2 in extension and a quarter inch extension and a quarter inch 3/8 extension. . To work you working machine shop always need to get into a little panel or have some metrics or something tighten up a fastener but I also carry a stainless steel comb it's got a few other things a bottle opener and some metric wrenches and a little bitty scale use that to come my beard out if I've got metal chips or shavings of any sort plus I carry a streamlight stylus pro I also carry the Milwaukee six and one so there's a screwdriver plus all the other things I can add to it and it's a razor knife and carry spare blades
Ordered due to this got a great deal on it have the swiss kit too
Favorite item in my old and weathered pouch are the tiny bags of sawdust I use for tinder. Hint : Black Walnut is the best. It lights up immediately!
I can’t go two seconds without nail clippers
For the double sided bit theres many options that come in most 10in1, 12in1, ect style screwdrivers. The best two I’ve found are the Klein brand and the Milwaukee. The Milwaukee double sided bit from the utility knife with built in driver is much smaller(shorter) if your trying to keep size weight down. They both actually look around the same size but trust me the Klein version is longer. ( I lost my original Milwaukee and replaced with Klein and found that with the Klein bit it’s too long to fully close back in handle)
Just want to say. Absolutely the best quality videos I watch on CZcams and I watch a LOT of CZcams. Keep up the great work
my favorite item from the pouch was the ratchet screwdriver, I had never seen such a compact one. Thanks for doing these videos, they are very informational and I can just lay down and watch or listen to you in the background.
Definitely the CableCard! Everything else is great too, but I feel I got similar things in my gobag already. It's the charging phone aspect that still takes away some space.
I love the cable card. Just can come in clutch when you need it. Also for the titanium bit, could you put a magnet or even metal rod where the keyring is supposed to go? Just curious if that would give enough retention. Love the kit either way. Smart way to do it
First time i saw the nail clippers was on a show of yours. Now I cannot live without them. Most definitely my fav piece of gear in the pouch!
Absolutely love the pouch! Especially the Kablecard so, so handy! Some of the things I would substitute, for example nail clippers for a small swiss knife that has a great sharp blade and a small pair of scissors. I always carry it with me on my key chain and use it very often. Great video, thank you very much!
I think the Leatherman micra is the best tool in the kit. It offers a bunch of function in such a small package. Great video.
Haven't used one, but it looks to me like I'd agree with his assessment that it's just a nice pair of scissors with some sub-par attachments. I have a Leatherman Squirt in a similar application and I'd say that is generally more robust. The squirt is a pair of pliers on the primary lever of the tool, but still has what I would call a fine pair of scissors as one of the multi-tool arms. I guess there is a market for the Micra, but I'd say if you need better snips on your multi-tool, you'd actually just be way better off with a more general multi-tool and a pair of snips properly dedicated to whatever the hell it is you find yourself needing to do all the time.
I think my favorite unique thing that I may start carrying is the 550 cord with the kindling inside. Very unique but easily forgettable. But also could be life changing.
Even regular 550 cord will serve as an outstanding improvised tinder.
Titan survival makes some awesome usa made Paracord bracelets. And they are heavy duty have firecord and other lines built in. Ive gotten 3 off them over 2.5-3 years. All still holding up well I always have it on my wrist. It's several feet of Paracord I forget the exact length
I love that CableCard. I use the Lever Gear cables, but need two of them to get the same number of adapters as the card. Plus the wireless charging feature is amazing. Well done Taylor!
The Cablecard is awesome and I use it fairly regularly. But my favorite thing you did is the genius use of a tinderpull in combination with the reflecting bead. Great idea!
Favourite thing is the cable card - It's definitely on my "to purchase" list. I do the same thing with the hair ties too - plus, I have daughters...
Wondering about bit retention - could you fit a piece of steel rod in the void in the centre of the micro bit? Might work.
I just bought this bit and had the same problem Taylor has, I put a tiny magnet in the hole with some glue
If you find yourself short on daughters' hair ties in a SHTF scenario, the kitted scissors or even the knife should easily hold enough of an edge to remove that problem.
Hmm, I'd add a spare ziplock bag. You never know when you need to keep the whole kit waterproof
Favorite thing in the pouch is probably the Leatherman Ratchet Driver. I really need to get one. I also really like how you paired it with the SOG multitool, really cool. Awesome little kit you put together.
I like the way you were able to incorporate three sources of tender. One with the zipper pull, the duck tape, and also the cotton in the stash container. Definitely a good use of space.
My first pouch is in the mail so thanks for the great ideas, bandaids are definitely a must!
Thanks for this video. Been trying to figure out what i need for my EDC pocket pouch. This vid gave me some good ideas
That KableCard is awesome. I love this channel. We see some awesome stuff on here, but that product has got more functionality packed into it than I have ever seen of its kind. 10/10 will be purchasing one and will be adding it to my sling bag.
For me, the ratcheting driver is definitely the best part. It really lets you elevate another part of your EDC into more of a dedicated tool role.
I have a pouch I use from Viperade, in it I carry a booboo kit, some cordage, a single dose super glue, a Leather Style PS, Zippo (w/ Zippo butane insert), diffuser that fits a AAA light, Burt's Bees, a keychain loyalty card with medical and electrical tape wrapped around it, some q-tips, and safety pins. Not a comprehensive list, but the bulk of the items.
I love the phone accessories kit, the ratchet screwdriver set-up. I'm so impressed with the pouch. Everything fit!
I feel the cable card is most excellent! Thank you Tayler for all that you do!
My favorite thing is the SOG Powerpint + Leatherman ratchet combo. I use the same combo in my EDC and I love it. The Powerpint makes a surprisingly comfortable driver handle, and the ratchet makes driving screws so much easier.
I have recently purchased a Power Pint based upon your videos. The leatherman rachet driver with the Power Pint is A+. Definitely do not leave home without it.
My favorite item is the cable card. I asked for one this past Xmas and it's come in handy several times already. I know I've used it at least 2-3 times a month.
Favorite thing is honestly the hair tie. Rubber bands and things to keep stuff together or closed are so useful and I never have one when I need it. Thankfully my fiancée usually has one.
Great video! The ratchet is super cool. I like how you use your pouch more as a compliment to your daily carry. I tend to use mine more as a supplement to my carry. Thus I keep a rovyon, lighter and small knife in mine. Also I carry a flattened Dixie cup in my pouch!
My fav thing is the Micra since I also carry that for the scissors. I add a rovyVon A5 and nail clippers I bought during a trip to China 20 years ago cuz I left mine at home. Keep just the 3 things in a Lewis and Clark pouch that I already have and which I like because it has a pocket clip. Wouldn't mind a new pouch, though. Great vid. TFS
The best thing about that pouch is the ZF bead, what a great idea for if you lose it and shine a flashlight on it. This would be perfect when I lose my medication in the bottom of my backpack! Awesome vid
I definitely looked into that cable card thing last time you mentioned it on the channel, but the micra is my favorite. My dad carried one of those on his keys for years. Always handy to have around.
I think your toothpick holder with the fire starting options is probably your best item. I was legit surprised at everything you got in there. Would maybe put some matches too if they could fit but you still got a lot in that small space.
My favorite is the uncle bills sliver grippers, as an avid outdoorsman getting ticks and splinters are commonplace, I will definitely be picking a set up after watching this video!
The kablecard is amazing. It doesn't work as a phone stand for my phone, but for everything else it's amazing. I got a different pouch in my pocket that it's in. I use the MicroSD card reader almost daily. It's truelly amazing.
I’d say the KableCARD was the one I am most interested in. I have a giant cable pouch I carry in my computer bag, but that looks way more efficient. Thanks for the idea!
The leatherman micra is wonderful, I’ve had one in the backpack that I take to work with me for years. It sees a fair amount of use
I loved that KableCard! That’s such a handy tool especially for traveling!
Your videos are very informative I watch them almost on the daily basis I have my own every day carry and I sometimes tweak to my liking but in this video I especially love these micro tool with adapters, I also like the cable card ! I would love one of those pouches that would be great I’m dealing with Parkinson’s and I do have a bag and I carry all my stuff and it’s nice to know I can just go to the bag and grab what I need
Nice kit. I used a Leatherman Micra for a while and they do work better than the typical multi-tool scissors but I changed to the Klein Electricians scissors which are much more capable and they are still small and very thin only 5.25" long and 0.188'' thick. I have mine in a kit I made with the Maxpedition Micro and Leatherman Rebar and it works well for my EDC. The electrician scissors can cut clam-shell packaging, wire, thick cardboard, cable ties quite well. Might be something to check out if you have no need for the other tools on the Micra.
I love the nail clippers. Always needing them and I like the ones you showed. Will be buying a set ASAP!
big fan of the essential backup gear in a pouch kept in a jacket pocket, car, or bag! Nice vid
My favorite things in there are the zip ties. They are so handy and you need them more than you think in every day use. One little thing I like to do, is i use a length of heat shrink tube to store them in. I cut a length of about 3 inches or so, give or take, and I slip in 4-5 small zip ties in them. Keeps them together and then you have a small piece of shrink tube as well.
The fingernail clipper! It’s amazing. So handy and barely noticeable in a pouch. Great recommendation.
We all live with and use electronics, so I think the Cable Card is a great most have. Another great video Taylor.
I think out of all the things I like the zipper pull the best. Having a way to help start a fire at almost no additional weight AND it’s an upgrade to the bag makes it a win
Great vid! I love carrying the little nail clippers and another little blade. ZF pouch is pretty cool too! Love little pouches to keep some EDC around me.
I picked up a set of those tweezers based on the other video you did, and those have come in super handy, and my favorite item in this pouch.
Thanks for these vids. The favorite thing that you use in the pouch is the Ratchet driver! I’ve been looking for something like that.
The KableCARD is one of the best EDC items I've ever seen. Like literally. Fills so many needs. Going to buy one now
My favorite thing that you have on that pouch is the bead (and pull). The patches are a close second. I have a lot of items that you carry... discovered them through your channel, mostly. All of your gear is better than what I can afford (need a knife badly since I am using cheap ones like the S&W $13 on LOL!). Love your gear. Especially your "topo" gear. That pouch is pretty cool. I have an (extremely) over-stuffed Maxpedition Micro and need to either split it out, or get a bigger bag.
One more thing that I aquired lately was a VaultTec LifePod 2.0. When I got to places where carrying (EDC Pouch with tools, knife, and other "carry" items), then I am able to put everything in there all at once. Albeit, I have to open up the pouch to lay flat on the top tray... but it still fits!
Oh that cable card makes my heart go pitter-patter! That’s my favorite. I would say that the zipper pull is a close second though. So functional and it looks good too.
My favorite thing in your pouch would hands down be the tooth pick. I've been looking for a good one for ages. Love it!
My favorite thing was probably the cable card, looks really handy and keeps such a small package. Great vid btw!
This is a very cool idea and setup. Love the pouch and my favorite item in it is the grooming kit, nail clipper/tweezer/toothpick. Cheers!
Awesome EDC setup , my favorite is the leatherman ratchet, I also have the Sog power pint and love it and the boo boo kit also is my fav. , thanks for sharing ✌
My favourite item is the Kable Kard - I'm buying one now! Excellent video, thanks. If you know you'll carry the SOG MT externally, but you still want decent-ish scissors, tooth pick and tweezers then consider the Swiss Army knife "classic" instead of the Leatherman Micra. If size is an issue then remove the scales, file down the buttons and carry the toothpick and tweezers loose. Unless submersion is a huge issue, i do the needles and fire kit in a cut down drinking straw with a duck tape lid.
Looks like you have two wool (blunt) needles. Maybe change one for a smaller regular needle. That can double as a SIM tool - use the eye end and the pilers to grip the needle.
That super utility charger/card/stand is definitely the best item in that pouch. I think you could definitely slim it down by taking out the ratchet and micra, but to each their own. All I put in my pouch is a victorinox micro champ alox, chapstick, eye drops, and vero mini fulcrum. Cool to see your take.
the cable card is pretty handy. the whole pouch is awesome thanks for sharing
I think my favorite thing in your pouch were the heavy duty needles. Never thought about carrying any, but they have so many uses.
Thanks for another awesome EDC vid sir!! My favorite item you had in the pouch was the toothpick. I also need one that's not too sharp! My true favorite item from today though is the "Best Damn EDC" RE patch!!!❤
Very cool little pouch, immediate purchase after seeing this video. Been trying to find something small enough that’s comfortable to carry consistently. Tweezers as simple as they may be are my favorite out of the entire pouch.
Love the nail clippers. I always keep some on me. I’d also probably add a small bic lighter in place of the multi tool being you keep one in your pocket already
The Leatherman ratcheting driver is my favorite thing, especially when paired with the Powerpint.
I'd have to throw in a little cordage of some kind. Some Kevlar thread is very thin yet strong, and sometimes you need to bind something together that your zip ties won't fit around.
That cable card looks really useful. I would defiantly carry something like that in a pouch. Awsome vid man!
I really like the compact design of that kit!! I have something similar. The only thing I might add is a small emergency whistle, I have a small flat one in my kit.
The leatherman ratcheting driver used with the sog is brilliant! The cable card is really cool, too. Great overview by the way! I have some steel double ended bits but they are at least an inch and a half long. That's the smallest I can find.
My favorite thing in that pouch is the bandaids! I need them more than I’d like to admit when I fidget with my knives! I don’t have a pouch yet, but I’d keep EVERYTHING in it lol
With the ferrro rod you were flicking towards the table I like to use the rod to pull back and keep your striker close and steady above the tinder so you don’t accidentally knock your tinder when you strike . Ive had the unfortunate experience of knocking all the tinder when everyone is cold , it ain’t the best situation to be in . Great video idea bro .
I really liked the tiny stash tube with needles and tinder and ferro rod. That seems like it has a plethora of uses to pair perfect with the multi tool combo. If there was 1 thing to grab n go that would be it. The needles replace your sim removal tool and in a pinch can be a marlin spike for a quick tie off. Same with the tooth pick. One thing you might add under that cotton was in a small wad of 30 lb fishing braid line to pair with the needles for clothing repair or even a strong canvas repair. That braid is fiercely strong.
Oh, yeah! I gotta update my little pouch, thanks for all of the recommendations!
I have the same sized pocket zippered pouch but with 2 exterior pockets on
one side and 1 wide on the other side, the zipper for the pouch is on the side. This is often my edc at home and at work. Leatherman Surge and Olight i3teos in the front, fisher space pen in pen holder on the side, write in the rain notepad with a folding lockblade utility knife and pocket Cresent tape measure in the back. Inside the pouch I keep a Leatherman bit kit, Leatherman bit extender, metal cutting blade and file for the surge, band aids, and a mini bic lighter in the pouch. If your's is a thick boy mine is obese. I really like the idea of the kable card maybe in place of the notebook. I would like to add that toothpick as well. I really dig this setup you have done.
You can fit alot more in that pouch than you would think foresure! I liked the phone adapter card so I had to get one ! Great Channel!
I think the ZF Lil Nuke Bead is the coolest and very intriguing! I must have spent 15 minutes looking at them. Second, Love the size / weight of the pouch and all of the “possibles” you have in it. Third, the titanium holder with the ferro rod, cotton ball, SIM card tool, and sail needles is going into my kit along with a ZF Lil Nuke bead!!!
The nail clippers is honestly my favorite thing in the kit. It's an item you never think about until you need it and then when you don't have any, it drives you nuts.
Me personally I tried carrying a maxpedition mini pouch. I carried it in my coveralls working refinery work. Came in handy housing a mini knife sharpener and bits for my Leatherman. Now I’m a stay at home dad so I’m rarely 50 ft from my shop and don’t carry as much.
The part I like the most is that toothpick. I might have to go look that up sometime
the Kablecard looks very useful. Another great video, thanks for the time you put into bringing great content to your viewers.
My favorite thing about the pouch is between the micro multi tool and the ratchet I tend to use my multi tool daily for minor repairs on the go and find them a need for daily life, being an airsoft gun tech service I would turn my pouch into a mini tech repair carry plus booboo kit because I'm constantly knicking or cutting myself throughout the days
Favorite item - KAbleCARD! That little thing is so functional! CLose 2nd is the Leatherman Micra! Oh... great video, BTW!
Uncle Bill's Sliver Grippers would be my favorite item from the pouch - simple, no-nonsense, elegant and useful, plus these (or something similar) are the only item I actually need, hence I automatically consider them the best thing.
The cable card for sure. This video actually made me want to buy one lol. Seems super handy for trips, hotels, cars, etc
To me the best thing to carry is the cable card! So useful, and you never know when you will need it, but you know you will!
