The game received a massive overhaul in 2.0 update. There's no shop now, instead you buy songs right from song list. (Though I have no idea how to get avatars for your profile now, as you could've only get them through buying in shop or by Datamining, which also got removed with the shop.)
They've also added that "master song list" or whatever you call it. It is unlocked after you beat chapter 6 or 7 (can't remember, I think it was unlocked for me when I just updated to 2.0 and I had completed ch6, so idk). You can access all the songs in the game from this list. Also, from this list you can access a new Challenge Mode: play a set of 3 maps on a stricter judgment timings and get an additional skill measure number on you profile plate (kinda like Dan Courses in various rhythm games, but you build your course yourself)
First three chapters were merged into one and all the charts were overhauled (actually this happened long before 2.0, but still worth to mention)
New charts may be quite challenging, but are well done!
April fools charts are also something, though this year there was a trouble with Regrets of Yellow Tulip when an entire chart was offset by a huge amount of time (don't know if only I got this problem :/ )
Some old charts in other collections besides 1-3 chapters were also recharted, but you still can access old IN charts after some point if you'd like to.
There's two collaboration packs with other rhythm games (Muse Dash, KALPA) and one collab song in Singles (Mountain Eater from MusynX)
There also more somewhat famous artists came into the game, such as Reku Mochizuki, Silentroom and rN.
The game became more friendly tho the player overall. Like do you remember how tips literally roasted player pre2.0? "If your scores are not satisfactory, maybe rhythm games are just not for you", I still remember this tip, even though maybe not very clear. Now Phigros does completely opposite and motivates the player through tips. Even tutorial level Introduction got a remix that made it sound more lively and friendly!
And finally, dB Doll got an AT difficulty and it's the easiest in the whole game - Lv.13, moving MopeMope AT 14 to a second place in the easiest another's list.
Small note that a Lanota pack has been announced and probably released when others see this comment.
You can get profiles and backgrounds on specific songs
@@dislodged2280 not really. It seems that you can only get BGs by playing songs, but I haven't got a single PFP by this way

@@HiLordReilo you do get profiles on songs, the same with background it's just it either gives you data, background, file, or profile.

Nearly triple what is available at the time the video is made now, with 184 songs.
Now its 193, soon will be 195 and if counted hidden song, its over 200
Phigros is every broke players that love rhythm games' dream come true. (it's mine at least lol)

About the MS Paint backgrounds, if you pay attention they're actually changing some of them after every update lol, guess it just took a while for the artists to draw. Also, they said it themselves that this will be a completely free game and will never be profitable in any way. There are donation sites as far as I heard but I don't know much about Chinese websites.
There's a wayyy bigger problem that the players have with this game aside from the UI: song choice and chart quality in the early chapters. Though this is pretty much unavoidable for a rhythm game that's completely free like this, there are a lot of bad charts for the whole 3 first chapters, along with a bunch in the Singles pack (even the devs and charters themselves agree this is so low-quality with what they make later, for example compare Engine x Start with Break Through The Barrier [same charter]), and you actually have to play through all of them in order to progress. This is actually the reason why a lot of people quitted the game. I hope that they move these songs to an optional pack instead of being a roadblock for those who are new.
oh, I think he's talking about cereris. In the case of that song in specific, the graphic is based on the music video.
They'll be redrawing all the background images by themselves to make it original, similar to Dynamix
i actually had the same problem. When i first played it, i only played the first 2 chapters and then just quit because the charts, arts, and the UI looks cheap and unpolished (especially compared to other rhythm games). I know it's free, but i don't mind paying a little bit for a more polished experience.
But then i found Phigros "leave all behind" playthrough on youtube and the chart looks SO MUCH better than the first chapter charts i previously played. So i tried Phigros again, unlocking chapter 5 ASAP, astonished by the updates, and now i can't stop playing it.

They added Legacy Chapters which combines all First 3 chapters along with new chart updates, Yes they're also changing Arts Like PRAW, Fuli Autoshooter. (You can still play old charts by tapping "Legacy" on Middle Bottom of Screen! But you can't see your Previous Record)
[Pretty sure why they quit this game is because *Theyre Jumping through High Difficulty Charts thinking this should be EZ PZ for them to beat but Fails Miserably* and also having Visual Confusion via Moving Judgement/Fading Lines]
They also Made a Collab with Musynx but pretty sad its only one track (I hope they can do more) :(

About the free content point, they are more or less locked into it. If they put in paid content. Songs like Aleph-0 and I believe the GOOD songs would have to be taken out if they made paid dlc

Phigros is the only mobile rhythm game that I still play frequently. I've played games like Dynamix, Arcaea, Voez, and Muse Dash (also paid for their song packs) but I always ended up deleting the games a few days later cause I got bored of them
I agree! I downloaded almost every rhythm game in the play store but i didnt liked them... The fact that do you have to pay almost everything in other rhythm games is what i hate

And now this game has cinematics like no other.
This game is probably one of the few games that I'd be happy to spend money on along with Arcaea, Lanota, and Dynamix. The only problem I have is I'm still 13 so I don't know how to buy in-game currencies like memories in Arcaea
Phigros, unlike most of rhythm games, is non-profitable, which means all songs are unlockable without the help of real currency.
If you wonder how to get those currencies to play songs in Single collection, just clear any difficulties with A rank or above to get "data", the higher the rank and harder the chart, the more data it gets.

it didn't catch my atention at first but when i download it it was perfect for me it was a God's rythm games alike, its a shame we can't plat because the masive bug of 1.5.3

Their business model target is most likely try to mantain good relationship with the community as I feel like this game is more into community driven and the fact that they give us alot of song and there are some big names artist song in the game...for free! I don't think they don't want to paywall people with the song and most likely will do it with the avatar since it's something that will not effect the main purpose of the game which is they want you to try alot of type of charts.
If you want to be good at this game, you cannot be human.

The only problem this game has is figuring out how to f*cking log in and save my progress, I've been playing a lot and had to re-grind everything multiple times due to switching devices so I would be happy if I somehow figured out how to connect my taptap since it's somehow bugged in Phigros. (In rotaeno I linked my acc to TapTap just fine but phigros just never sends me the confirmation email)
I love this game because when you don't fucking know where to catch the yellow notes, you can just spread 4 fingers from your ipad and it should do it
the same with flick notes, you can just swipe the entire screen or make random flicks with 4 fingers lmfao

Buy other songs
Or just go to another ex chapter on Hyun and finish the song called infinity heaven. U can get A or complete the song in hard and you’ll unlock disorder and beat hard full combo and there you go youve unlocked the insane one
So if your buying song look at the top left and theres this sign shop thingy so you can buy song in singles and make more songs
There are two ways. You can either
A: Beat that song's Hard level chart with atleast an S (920k pts) or above, or
B: Clear the previous song's insane chart with at least an A rank (880k pts)
