    damn that was a nice Atv... i really want one, but i dont exactly have the cash saved up for one... if im going to get ANY atv, its going to be the grizzly for simple trailing, ditches and a little farm mud.

    Another great review. I'm new to ATV's and have found your reviews very helpful as I decide on my first. Thanks and keep it up.

  • @ATVTVCOM

    Sounds a little high, but It all depends on the condition of the machine - how it was cared for, was it stored in a garage, and how hard was it ridden....and by whom?

  • @FATMIKED5183
    @FATMIKED5183 Před 14 lety +1

    I had mine going 55 on slight decline(on pavement) with unworn tires,and 255 pounds of rider.

    @cbk982 You're welcome. We really love the 450 and in the 'old days' that was a 'big' machine that worked just fine for hard work. The only thing you'd have to do is put on a set of better tires for the snow - radials like the ITP Terra Cross or Mudlite XTR or the STI Black Diamonds.

  • @ATVTVCOM
    @ATVTVCOM  Před 15 lety

    There is a taillight that is on when the lights are on and a brake light that comes on when the brakes are applied.

    @Quadrider22444234 Most ATVs have an electronic rev limiter when the transmission is shifted into reverse. The override button simply overrides that limiter and allows for more power when backing up.

  • @ATVTVCOM
    @ATVTVCOM  Před 12 lety

    @TheHame110 Both are great. You can't go wrong with either one!

  • @skeet25s
    @skeet25s Před 13 lety

    @Quadrider22444234 Not only reverse. The rev limiter also engages when you have the front diff locked. The override give you full power back in both cases: diff locked or reverse.

    on the 2007 gizzly 450 how much miles in one tank not counting reserve?

  • @WKHalford
    @WKHalford Před 13 lety

    @jdracer212 I recommend the Grizzly 450, especially the new 2011 model with it's improvements.
    Even more so since the Sportsman 400HO was changed for 2011, because it now has the same chassis as the 500HO. So the Sportsman 400HO is now physically bigger and heavier, while the Grizzly 450 is now LIGHTER that last yer, and still the same compact size. Plus the Grizzly 450 can now be had with power steering.
    And like ATVTVCOM said, the Grizzly is the more reliable machine.

    Hello, thank you for putting up all these videos, they've helped me a lot.. im a teenager, and In the northern place i live it snows quite a bit and im looking to buy a grizzly, I figured a 700 would make best with plowing but do you think that quad would be to "big" for me, in a sense? would you recomend a 700 for a 125 pound person? A 450 sounds more managable to me but i feel like id lose the work advantage.

  • @ATVTVCOM
    @ATVTVCOM  Před 15 lety

    Uphill or downhill? According to the speedometer or actual? On dirt or on pavement? With new tires or worn? With a big guy riding or a small guy? At sea level or at what altitude?
    Or should we just say that top speed is such a variable that it is not a figure worth trying to verify?

  • @driftattack11
    @driftattack11 Před 12 lety

    Please review the new grizzly 300! I heard its an excellent value for money for its class!

  • @ATVTVCOM
    @ATVTVCOM  Před 12 lety

    Watch the tests. I like two brakes, a complete 4wd system, engine braking that goes to all 4 wheels, 4wd that works in reverse, reliability.....

  • @ATVTVCOM
    @ATVTVCOM  Před 15 lety

    I'm guessing it would be a toss-up. They both have proven very reliable.

  • @ATVTVCOM
    @ATVTVCOM  Před 11 lety

    I think it's right under the bars at the front of the tank area.

  • @ATVTVCOM
    @ATVTVCOM  Před 14 lety

    @zippypinhead11 Is that the only two choices? Why not look at the King 400 versus the Rancher? Or step up and compare the Griz 550 to the King 500?

  • @peterkoster5053

    @cdawg4391 Před 12 lety

    I have an '05 arctic cat 400.....is that a 500 chassis with a 400 motor? If so, that may explain why most of the weight is towards the rear and why the front end likes to lift when climbing hills with rocks and tree roots.

  • @Quadrider22444234
    @Quadrider22444234 Před 13 lety

    so what does the override do again? is it like polaris' s deal for making the reverse faster or what
