    You have to transfer all of the sheet metal and other external parts to the long block. You need to used the ford intakes. Either fill the holds with epoxy or used a lot of RTV sealant. Them intake started with the new body style in 1998.

    99.5 and 2000 7.3's have forged internals. I'd rebuild it instead of swapping it out.

      The new engines are actually quite good, minus the emissions. Of course the emissions ruins everything unless you do what you need to do in states that don’t take a peek annually.

      Yes there's differences but the engines are close enough and it works

    CANT YOU BUY A TOTALLY REBUILT 7.3 CRATE MOTOR ?

      Of course you can if you choose too. It's about 3 times the cost as this used engine we have.
