By the way, I use dial test indicator to check for a lot of things needed for 3D printer hobby. Buy one if you don't already have it. I'd suggest for Chinese made one below (affiliate link which also helps the channel) which doesn't cost a lot like Mitutoyo ones. Remember don't put magnet close to these Chinese made dial test indicators. You might damage them.

so far so good except one linear rail has some play and sound rough. They try to send me a sliding block as replacement and hope it fixes the issue. probably hard 400 serie stainless steel which is magnetic.
It's required for hardness of the bearing.
It will rust but way less than steel.
properly lubricated, rust will be no problems.

Best thing you can do is throw out the moons motors and put ldo super powers on then 48v it's a completely different printer.
