      Two words: french cleat.

      Put a cleat to rest cabinets on. Of course, take doors off.
      Level it, get a 1x2 that is perfectly level. Rent a laser level.

    Always locked the frames in first them used did final shim. Most box cabinets are not square.

    Why not use a pilot bit with a countersink attached? It would make the job a lot simpler...

    May I ask if my carpenter didn't really fixy 2 cabinet together and everything in the kitchen are done. What I could use to fill the gap in between? I hate it that ants could travel through it.

    My question is if the face frames have a slite over hang on each side won't the cabinet require a shim at the back to level the sides,why doesn't' he mention this,seems this is just as important if not more so and how do you get that shim at the back lower side of the two cabinets.,why do all of these guys recommend an over hang on face frames in the first place.

    Youre using a screw designed to counter sink itself, confused on why you drilled the counter sink.

    • @StanSwan
      @StanSwan Před 3 lety +4

      Designed to counter dink in soft wood not hardwood like the frames. They would split.

      @@StanSwan not very often. Usually you have to hit a knot.

      @@ClumsyCars It only takes a few seconds to drill a countersink, it sucks when the project is almost done and you have to start over because it cracked the face frame. It's only happened to me once but that's one time too many.

    Use pony clamps instead of hand clamps.
    Use EZ-Level system instead of shims.
    You’re welcome.
