I got to see them live about a year ago in Indy for a thanksgiving show at a small concert hall.. as a cohesive band, they’re legit. Impressive keys and bassist. They didn’t play have a cigar, but if they did the place would have burned down so I’m kind of glad they didn’t 😅
One of the greatest solos ever played. Don't give a fuck if it's a cover. This is just insane. Caught these dudes live right before Covid and Max is a madman. Can't express enough how great these dudes are live. Go see them if you have the chance.
Throughout the solo, each member is listening as closely as they can. The bassist is looking straight up, the keys guy is cocking his head, and the drummer is deadass looking at the guitarist this whole time.
Check out their cover of comfortably numb they just did, they leave the reaction of the band members to the solo in at the end. It's amazing any of them could keep going while Max was doing what he does lol
One of my favorite things to do when my buddies and I were still playing together was improvisation. Feeding off each others energy and knowing our instruments inside and out made for the best music and it flowed organically. They have a way with groove and feel like not many bands can boast. Guitar solos that are damn near a sexual experience. Crystal clean vocals all over the place. They have it all.
These guys were the best part of my IU tenure. Watched them play in basements, festivals and opened for Zoso at the Bluebird. Very cool to see them get this exposure.

So happy to see this video getting some love. I have watched it probably hundreds of times and have showed it to anyone who would watch. The Main Squeeze is the real deal. So many great up and coming bands out there right now. This music scene is as strong as ever
Where the solo comes in and the rhythm just stays tight, I still feel that dynamic build with the guitar. Super jazzy, then building to the heavy chorused section. I think Gilmore would be proud of this.
This was my college band, I absolutely have seen this band more than any other in my life. This band was somewhat classically trained but grew up in Bloomington Indiana next to The Jacob's School of Music. Not to mention the Bluebird venue. So happy you took this song to take apart. Corey's vocals are amazing and he has a massive voice.
Made the hair stand up on the back of my neck the first time I watched this video, the guys killed it. All great musicians, buddies not kidding best cover probably ever! I can tell by the look on your face you enjoyed it too!! That SG…. Dirty!
Love it. This blew my mind the first time I saw it and confirms what I always say. If you're going to cover a song, make sure you either do it differently OR kick it's ass better than the original band could even do live. Masterful.
Check out the main squeeze - Layla, what a cover. Plus "where do we go" and " i'll take another " jeez actually just playlist everything they do. Tightest band around.
Lucky enough to have seen these guys multiple times, I see a LOT of live music, Maxamillion is one of the best guitarists I've ever seen! I love how you picked out Rob's bass playing. When I met them I told Max what sick guitarist I thought he was then I immediately turned to Rob and said " but you keep him in check"!!! Don't miss these guys if you get a chance!!!!
Learned of this band via this channel a couple years ago and have seen a bunch of their CZcams videos. Finally had the opportunity to see them perform live on 3/17/2022 in San Francisco at The Independent. Decided to go at the last second (tickets were still available at the door thankfully), and I could *NOT* have been more impressed!!!! Best $20 I've spent in years. That said, I was a bit bummed no Pink Floyd covers were done, but their Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps cover was mindblowingly jaw-dropping!! I will say Shira Elias and Adryon de León stole the show with their backup vocals (and solos)...every single band member had a tasty solo or two during the evening (even the horn players!). After the show was over, some of the band members spent some with the fans (notably Corey and Rob), it was nice to dap up Corey, say thank you, and head on home. Moving forward, I'll be doing my utmost to attend every show they perform in my area...can't speak HIGHLY enough about this band's talent and general vibe, what an experience!!!! Can't thank you enough for exposing me to this band @Michael Palmisano!
The Main Squeeze - While My Guitar Gently Weeps (My recomendation) When you listen to that piano intro, you sense that something different is coming. The voice with the way of using bass and treble sounds almost like a duet, with power but at the same time with so much feeling, it puts you in another atmosphere. The keyboard player and the bass player create an incredible cloud and so harmonious that you feel like you can go all over the sky. What the guitarist and drummer do is epic!! At times close to heavy, at others Hendrix style but with a personal and unique touch. Obviously I fall short with words since feelings cannot be explained!! With all due respect to the "masters" creators and interpreters of this all-time classic, these 5 gentlemen surpass the original!
Max from the main squeeze is a GREAT guitar player. had the pleasure of hanging out with him a couple times, kind of cat who makes you either want to practice more or put it down forever.
