I know the Philippines and the people are wonderful, but if I'm in my 60s and retired I don't want brown outs and crappy infrastructure. Crows and Karaoke would do me in :) Thailand is more affordable and cleaner and better infrastructure.

love the building! Paying the year in advance is a great idea. I was thinking about that as i have watched different channels and condo tours. I don't hit 50 for another 18 or so months, so I am a bit away from being able to get a retirement visa, but I am definitely putting that complex on my list of places to check out when I get there:)

We have mini supermarket just outside and pharmacy, 7-11, restaurants ext. I am type 2 diabetic so I understand the needs of medical supplies nearby. If you need any advice I would be happy to help

Hi Mark thank you for subscribing and welcome to my channel. Yes they do have condos with bathtubs and the price is about the same. Don’t drink tap water here. Bottle water is very cheap and sold at a lot of condo lobby’s.

Hi William. Direct is the best way as agents get fees from the condo owners which will put your rent up. Come directly to the office and you will get it much cheaper. 👍

Mate your right it’s very peaceful and relaxing, I am surprised. I was expecting a million kids screaming and splashing, having fun, but giving an old dog like me teeth grinding stress. Also, I saw you on Jason’s channel and had to check your vlog out. Good luck, I’m interested in retiring soon, I can’t drink or get smashed anymore or I’ll end up in hospital or dead. I can’t complain I had a great innings. My goal is to go to Thailand and get some dental care. Go to the Philippines. Find a partner in either country, and occasionally travel back home to Australia. Basically retire and get the best value for the money I have earned in my 40yrs of work life.
Hi Brian 3 months is enough to see if you like Thailand but I’m sure you will love it. My retirement visa is called a NON Immigrant O visa and costs about $1000 US depending on which agent you use

Hi Mercy. Yes you can. The pools here are just under 5 feet deep. And in my condo as it’s new there are not many people that live here so much of the time we have the pool to ourselves 😄

Hi Joe welcome to my channel. Please 👍 and subscribe. To answer your question my condo complex only has 1 & 2 bedrooms. However there are other condo buildings that do have 3 bedrooms. If your looking to rent I would go for a house you can find plenty here for rent.
The longer you rent and the more up front the cheaper it gets. I did a year rental contract and paid it in full in advance. They wanted 15k baht a month but I got them down to 10k. Cash talks here. I will ask the office for you when I get back on Sunday about the 2 bedroom.

That is correct there is no VA in Thailand. However there is is Manila. Many expats in the Philippines come to Thailand for medical as Bangkok hospitals here have all the latest equipment.

know you are a vet, so am I. I get all my meds.from the VA. I am a diabetic I take one shot a week it is Ozempic it is verry expensive if u had to buy it ,are meds expensive there? You will soon have 1000, your vids are very good I just have a hard time converting thai money to usd, meters to feet, weighs, thank you.

Hi brother it’s actually 10k and the electric prices for 2 people is very cheap compared to the Philippines. When you retire to a new country all you take with you is your suitcase. So small is perfect 👍
I was tempted to send you the video I watched today June 19, 2024, but I know it would be unethical to do that. They did a two bedroom/two bathroom apartment in the new building that you shared the apartment. It was so uninformed. Believe or not, your videos are the only ones I subscribe to.
Dude I have high-end condos in BKK at Isarra Ratchadapisek, as well as Chatrium Sathorn and Riverside, amongst others which I rent to visiting dignitaries. The most prestigous of which I rent and includes the availability of my Maybach with 3 x Escalades. Whilst I have use of the cars I haven't stayed at one of my places I've had for two years after it was finished.
That’s great Wayne. That would make yours 10 stars then. And my hat is off to you. You have done very well in your life. Most of us however are on state pensions and only get a fraction of your wealth and income. So for us it is 5* at less than $300 a month. And that is all that matters to us. I did not mean to impugn on your class or taste sir. 👍

@ant-qu1bs Hi Ant. Thank you for your comment. Area is very crucial if your having medical surgery as your mobility will be limited. We have mini supermarket just outside and pharmacy, 7-11, restaurants ext. I am type 2 diabetic so I understand the needs of medical supplies nearby. If you need any advice I would be happy to help

Hi Mark thank you for subscribing and welcome to my channel. Yes they do have condos with bathtubs and the price is about the same. Don’t drink tap water here. Bottle water is very cheap and sold at a lot of condo lobby’s.

Hi William. Direct is the best way as agents get fees from the condo owners which will put your rent up. Come directly to the office and you will get it much cheaper. 👍

Mate your right it’s very peaceful and relaxing, I am surprised. I was expecting a million kids screaming and splashing, having fun, but giving an old dog like me teeth grinding stress.
Also, I saw you on Jason’s channel and had to check your vlog out. Good luck, I’m interested in retiring soon, I can’t drink or get smashed anymore or I’ll end up in hospital or dead. I can’t complain I had a great innings. My goal is to go to Thailand and get some dental care. Go to the Philippines. Find a partner in either country, and occasionally travel back home to Australia. Basically retire and get the best value for the money I have earned in my 40yrs of work life.

Hi Brian 3 months is enough to see if you like Thailand but I’m sure you will love it. My retirement visa is called a NON Immigrant O visa and costs about $1000 US depending on which agent you use

The baht bus now picks up on 2nd road due to the road work on beach road. Also our complex has a free shuttle bus to beach road 👍❤️👍

Hi Mercy. Yes you can. The pools here are just under 5 feet deep. And in my condo as it’s new there are not many people that live here so much of the time we have the pool to ourselves 😄

Hi Joe welcome to my channel. Please 👍 and subscribe. To answer your question my condo complex only has 1 & 2 bedrooms. However there are other condo buildings that do have 3 bedrooms. If your looking to rent I would go for a house you can find plenty here for rent.
How much for a 2 br. In your building?
The longer you rent and the more up front the cheaper it gets. I did a year rental contract and paid it in full in advance. They wanted 15k baht a month but I got them down to 10k. Cash talks here. I will ask the office for you when I get back on Sunday about the 2 bedroom.

That is correct there is no VA in Thailand. However there is is Manila. Many expats in the Philippines come to Thailand for medical as Bangkok hospitals here have all the latest equipment.

You're paying ~12k which in my book is about right. It may be new but it's still tiny and the electric costs you're getting hosed.
Hi brother it’s actually 10k and the electric prices for 2 people is very cheap compared to the Philippines. When you retire to a new country all you take with you is your suitcase. So small is perfect 👍
Nah thats cheap for a brand new development including fibre internet. Electric is government rates so you cannot do anything about that.
Government rates are the cheapest in Thailand. Beware of condos that don’t give government rates as the price is jacked way up

Dude I have high-end condos in BKK at Isarra Ratchadapisek, as well as Chatrium Sathorn and Riverside, amongst others which I rent to visiting dignitaries. The most prestigous of which I rent and includes the availability of my Maybach with 3 x Escalades. Whilst I have use of the cars I haven't stayed at one of my places I've had for two years after it was finished.

Most of us however are on state pensions and only get a fraction of your wealth and income. So for us it is 5* at less than $300 a month. And that is all that matters to us. I did not mean to impugn on your class or taste sir. 👍
@@CoopersThaiAdventure We are all different and gauge things by our own standards. I also take my government pension - after all my taxes paid for many who lived off the state their entire lives. I apply it to my new-found passion for altruism - which has come somewhat late in life.
