I recently bought one of these, and for all the same reasons. I traded two guitars, and coughed up some scratch for it. Best guitar purchase I’ve ever made. From Metallica to the Dead, and everything in between, this guitar can do it. Love it!
Do you still love it? Can it do blues and classic rock? Do you find that this is now your desert island guitar?
@@vedder10 Yes. You can get a lot of really good tones out of it. It’s extremely versatile. It is my favorite guitar for sure. As far as the desert island, I’d probably take my acoustic in case there’s no electricity 😜
I don’t think it’s a separate wood that’s binding the top to the body. It’s just the mahogany back and a solid piece of figured maple on top. What appears to be binding is actually just the maple top that has not been treated with a stain. Bitchen

Sweet guitar! Two great pickup combinations that can do what you like are a Duncan PRail neck, any bright middle Strat and a Warman GRail bridge. Another even better option is 3 Fishman P90s. They have 3 tones, one of which is a pretty sweet Strat. Another big benefit is there is less volume drop in 2 and 4 than any other pickups I’ve used. Best way to control them is a Freeway 3x3 switch.

Awesome guitar! I've got a 408 (pictured) and a core Tremonti with a stoptail. Would trade the Tremonti for a P245 semi-hollow in a heartbeat... but can't seem to find one. This is my first time on this channel, I hope to hear some great tones!

I’m thinking of selling my 335, Mayer Strat, or one of my CE24’s to purchase one. I can’t decide on which two I should sell. Your enthusiasm makes me want one even more!
I wouldn't sell the es 335. This model can do the prs humbucker tone, authentic strat and tele tones, but can't really simulate a big , fat es 335 sound.
