  • In this episode, the Kawasaki of my local guide Didier, no longer wants to start.. and we are stuck in a remote village that is not reachable by car. The only way to get out of here with the broken motorcycle, is by boat. So we have to get to another tiny village, about 5 kilometers away, that is built right on a sandbank and try to catch a boat at high tide..

As when she led the gaggle of kids away from the bikes after changing out of her boots, then came back with a fella that knew about the boats. He likely would have heard of her arrival and searched her out eventually, but she went for him even without knowing the language well. How she interacts with the locals, kids giving 100% attention following Noraly around, then there is a perfect scene/music coordination which makes tears flow. So many consecutive high impact scenes but the few second shot of the engine starting was particularly intriguing to me. We (an elderly Dutch couple) were pointed to your channel by my visiting Canadian nephew. We started looking 30 September last year. We watched one or more episodes per evening from Season 1 all the way up to this episode in season 7. We skipped Netflix, linear TV, so we could see as much as possible episodes. It took us more than 6 months!
We are inspired by your travels, discussing if we should do more travel again, or just watch yours, but mostly we are amazed by your courage, perseverance, your self-directedness (doelgerichtheid), and the optimistic way you tackle every problem, combined with your friendly approach to all people you encounter.
And not to forget, we really, really enjoy the footage and beautiful sceneries you present to us.
Thank you Noraly, for giving us so much.
