if I keep connect the camera to the classic charger, and for example the light turn down for some hours, the solar panel + the batteries will keep the camera on as well?
I should need to install it on a mountain house and the light goes down a lot of time in winter so it could be a good solution for me. Thanks in advance!
Yes it can also work as back-up power, just be sure to get quality 18650 cells. It uses 6 of them. The panel and standby mode is so efficient that I use mine with no external power, it just works on solar, battery is always full, works all night long.
why there is no raw footage in the video?
Can you please advise whether a video event saved to the SD card (Not the Cloud) can be downloaded to your phone via the app. Thank you.
The file can be play backed on your phone through the app, although it doesn't seem to have a file transfer option to save it also.

Does the camera record automatically on detection or we need to record the video manually
It has motion detection and automated recording of the event. You can also manually control it.

No it doesn't have a panning route option.

In theory it works with both of them, I haven't tried the cloud service as it needs payment and it's not that useful for me.

Good evening, I bought 4 Escam QF20 cameras. 2 works perfectly. But with 2 I have problems in the sense that it goes offline. If I turn off the power and restart it, it works for about 2-3 days and one for 10-12 days. On the application I appears offline in orange color. Ok, I click there and a diagnosis appears: device left presented ar 03.10.2022,16:04:16,and reporter power value 100, wireless signal strenght 3 but also 4. can you help me? Thanks
I have had a similar issue and it was because of the poor wifi signal, even though the camera was showing good strength.

No it can't be reached with IP.
@@TechTronic9000 I scanned it with Nmap. 65535 closed ports... :-( Is there any way to integrate it with my Home Assistant and my Frigate NVR? Has anyone succeeded?

No, there is no PC software and there is no IP/Browser configuration for this camera. It only works with the provided Android app.
It doesn't recorded continuously even when I select "always" in the active time options
It crates sequenced files, it works and then loop records over the old ones.

Yes you can add multiple cameras under the same app as long as they are the same model or from the same compatible series of the ESCAM brand.
Does it work with google home?
No, it only works with its own app.
Is wifi needed
Yes, it needs it for configuration and monitoring.
ESCAM does not reply to support emails. Beware!
Yes, support is mostly nonexistent, yet this camera in particular works very good since I did this review. The phone app is also getting constant updates and small improvements.
