had the same issue although I didn't touch the 11j restrictor, as soon as I removed the valve block along with co2 losses and triggers stuck after 8-10 shots. Any idea how I could fix it? thx !
Over time I have found a lot of issues with the modified versions of the hdr50, such as valve blocks shooting off causing damage and rupturing CO2 chambers, this problem mainly occurs when the air restricter is removed from it's chamber. I found that if you remove the CO2 chamber seal it with locktyte then screw it back on it eliminates this problem, I used the same technique for the valve block and it worked. If not the pressure from the CO2 will eventually either destroy the rings and case leaks, rupture the CO2 chamber, or the pressure will remove the valve block especially if it's no locktyte on it. I had my TR50 for a year no the maximum power I got was 45 joules. Which is very effective depending on what ammo you used and where you shoot an attacker. The best air I have interms handling air pressure is the Sabre 68 cal. I have a pierced CO2 in it now. I had it in 4 months it still hasn't ruptured the rings and it better than my bryna, it not nearly as strong as the TR50 modified but 16-18 joules out the box is not bad. I tested it on a enemy car window and it shattered the front windshield like it wasn't shit. And this was with the Duke impact rounds.
The fact the co2 has such a blunt rounded bottom and its still getting stuck in the chamber is very strange.
absolutely! had the same problem although I didn't touch the co2 restrictor so nothings cross threaded...
I had issues with stuck CO2, but found a solution - when the pressure is low making empty shoots until the revolver stop output gas. Then the CO2 out itself from the chamber.
Ive had the same problem when I removed the valveblock although I didn't touch the restrictor in the chamber. I also have some co2 farts after 8-10 its over and the whole trigger mechanism is locked back

Bro mine just started spluttering today air coming out barrel I've only just taken the valve block out nothing else but once a co2 did get stuck it only happened once and my trigger can't be pressed once I keep shooting till the co2 runs out unless I take the magazine out put it back in but thats been happening from day one since brand new so thought it was normal only today it started spluttering once I've shot all the bullets sometimes after 7 8 shots what can it be mine is 11 joule version
Maybe the issue is the modifications causing the co2 container to expand too much due to the regulator being removed.
The CO2 tube will expand as will the CO2 receiving Adaptor, the adaptor will expand quicker. This can cause issues with the gun and cause it to be unreliable and slightly dangerous. This gun is a cheap mass produced, TOY. Taking it up to 30 Jules, is very risk and I recommend you do not do it. You are putting cast metal and cheap springs, fittings under stress it was not designed to be under. How do I know, I was an armourer in the military for many years, full qualified and certified , BEng, MEng and CEng. I still get a lot of pleasure in working with weapons, and fiddle and mess about with Air Weapons. Air weapons are little researched and most people are unaware of the power possible from Air Weapons. It is the .50 calibre that the most advances have been made, with FPS of just over 1,000 FPS, compare it to a Barrett M107A1 which has a FPS rating of just over 5,000 it might seem to be a poor second. well the opposite is true, throwing a .50calibre at over 1000 FBS will kill a wild bore . The longest effective range an air rifle has shot effectively is 1,400 yards. I say it again, 1400 Yards Airgun World Record with Altaros M24. That is incredible. A .50 calibre has taken down a deer at 475 yards. These are highly tunes Air rifles, with a lot of new metals, fittings etc to deliver an increase in power. The weight of CO2 tanks, the weight of the air weapon, the delivery of the round, the inherent weakness of the magazine holding the pellets, the fitting and alignment of the barrel, the magazine. But it doesn't matter if its 7 joules or 30 joules they are unsafe either way, even if it is unmodded the Gen3 crimped valves are unsafe.

Mate any chance you can help me please… I cannot unscrew the co2 plug at the bottom of the handle…. It just keeps turning around !!! It’s done this once before but eventually opened after the co2 canister had warmed back up…. It’s brand new and only used a hand full of times tops…. Any ideas please… it’s now rendered useless !!!

Just got mine an hour ago. The mags are wobbly and jam and if it doesnt jam it blows out co2 mid rotation which isnt good. The mags get stuck and wont come out sometimes. If it doesnt jam and shoots it never empties The mag and co2 is only good for about 5 shots i emailed them and waiting to hear back but if you have any tipa for my problems I'd appreciate a reply thanks

Is putting in the z ram extension basically a waste of money if I’m going to mod straight to the hpa bottle anyway,seems obvious to me but I am new to this ,thanks
If you're going to HPA it, then don't bother with the Z-Ram extension. If you are connecting the HPA bottle via the handle (CO2 tube), then you could use the extension. I have seen some people do it. I've not bothered as with HPA and a couple of barrel extensions I can get 75 joules.
Can you please verify if the 11 joule version is UK legal, there's so many conflicting opinions,I ditched getting a 7.5 joule hdp 50 for a more powerful pistol crossbow due to the superior power.cheers

Do you know if the 11 Joule version is still available in the UK? It seems to be discontinued on most sites, only site I’ve found it on is a French and don’t want to order it and get in any trouble. I can get the 7.5 I guess but just wondering…
I'm guessing that they are discontinued due to them (technically) being too powerful for an air pistol in the UK. You will hear a lot of stories of it being a grey area for power limits with paintball markers, but even paintball legislation says 6 ft lbs for an air pistol and 12 ft lb for rifle in the UK.

I have a question: what distance from chrono you keep (I've got R2 version), my untouched HDR 50 11J gives about 3J, and I'm not sure if my shots are too close to chrono and if that can be the result...
I normally shoot from about 30-40 cms. And get fairly consistent results.

No, it means you screwed the end cap on way too tight!
I've found a little squirt wd 40 and blank fire it then get it on its way with ammo.
you re messing up all the orings with wd40. even the silicon version contains hydrocarbons... you re not doin it any good with wd40
I'm asking as I've never owned one of these before. Is my chamber supposed to spin so freely? If I flick it with my finger it will revolve 3 or 4 times. Is that the norm for everyone?
No, it shouldn't be that way. Check if the barrel slides in and out freely. The barrel should go forward a little when you shoot, and then come back and it would hold the chamber.

I have 11 j one but I don’t really know the legality in the uk and the other question is if I can bring it to uk with me on a plane or I have to post it ?

11J is legal in the UK if you shoot paintballs, but becomes illegal if you shoot anything solid, so only do that in private. Good luck bringing it on a plane lol! Post it to yourself as a paintball gun, should be ok.
@@ottosump9615 The 11 Joule is illegal in the UK as the air pistol limit 6 Joule. Thus turning it into firearms classification weapon.Hand guns are illegal in the UK.

E vanno tutte e due bene , ma quella a 11 mi si scarica un po' prima rispetto all 7.5 e la ho presa dalla Francia è xcio la tengo così . Xchè funziona lo stesso ed è molto molto potente , ma comunque nn è giusto che se ne approfittano così i venditori xcio hai ragione!

Incorrect information. I've never heard of anyone going to prison for an overpowered air weapon. Also, how would they even find out, are you going to walk into the police station and announce it? Only time you'll land yourself in trouble is if another crime has been committed and as such they felt the need to test the air gun (which is outsourced and usually expensive to do)

The gun would fire six shots, then reload another drum and it would get stuck on the seventh shot, the trigger would not pull and then the CO2 would not come out of the chamber. 👍

Maybe that bullet little over sizing than barrel hollow or there is a slight defect in the bullet or after a bunch of shot, bullet at cylinder magazine not on their position sharply and that causing the bullet failed to take off. It'll effect to trigger mechanism which locking it. Is your magazine drum also jammed?
Actually i don't have HDR50. Just thinking about buying it because i'm in air rifle field. I just had a very similar problem with my gamo pt85.

Not all they make is shit.The HDR well modified is a good gun.The HDX40 also.Unfortunately the HDB isnt available yet.About airsoft or airguns cant say,but the mentioned ones from the T4E-series are ok,even though they are a bit overpriced for what you get.With the FSC,whats indeed the best home defense concept,I had many more issues,but its still my favourite also because of the many spare parts available.
You re the 1st one I jear saying umarex makes shit. Its a huge group that owns walther and many other reputable brands. Everything I have from them works flawlessly. They re not responsible if some ppl make them unreliable
