The coordination it took on the delivery 😂😂😂...this is a good way to stay in shape!! Excellent job as usual!! Amazing woodwork!!
Hahaha it is! Thanks so much!
It’s the arguing during installation for me 😂
Hahaha, lifting a bed frame up a over 50 stairs will do that 😂
Thats how you know they're actual people, actually working 🤣
It's also how you know one or a couple of thr guys are more experienced hahaha
Nothing like working with family lol
You guys are KILLER craftsmen! I'm a cabinetmaker from Denmark myself, and It's awesome to see how similar your workshop, your methods and your guys are, compared to a danish or a northern european workshop. I envy your access to crazy-size lumber in Canada, though.
Beautiful work guys!! Cheers
Never seen this wood species before, beautiful grain and colour.
Thanks Patrick! Agreed, it's a beautiful species!
“It’s pretty warm” he says while surrounded by a literal mountain of snow
We all tuff dogs at BF
Haha, we're from Calgary so we're used to freezing cold weather
Comment for the algorithm! Good to see the videos back
Thanks Adam! Good to see your comments back as well! Haha
Nice work!
25:05 “this is the biggest bed you can get”
You sir, must have never heard of an Alaskan king. Now THATS a bed!! 😂
I had not! Wow those are big beds!!
@@BlackForestWoodCo Thanks for the response! I love the creativity in these pieces of art you all create. Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us!
Great job, I haven't been paying attention for the last bit but you hit a quarter million subscribers now, well done! Next stop 500k
Thank you! Yes, we're very excited to hit our next milestone!
Looks wonderful as always boys!
Also 268k subs still rolling towards that 1M+ :)
Yes, we're getting closer haha!
WOW! Amazing work, guys. That massive amount of stairs though! Geez.
Haha yes there were so many stairs
Back in another life I was a Hardwood Lumber Inspector for National Hardwood Lumber Association with my area of work was Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and Eastern Missouri. Knowing how to tell the different American Hardwoods apart was a requirement. When I graduated from the grading school in Memphis my father-in-law who was also in the lumber business gave me a box of small strips of all of the hardwoods with on the back a description and what it was used for. I memorized every one of these, and it paid off when I was challenged by another grader, or mill worker. There was a bar in Indiana that the bar itself had all of the hardwoods covering the bar. This was a lumberjack bar, and I made some money betting when challenged. Just a thought if you ever wanted to try something different.
I want to comment on what a great videographer Hayley is!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that 😄
@@BlackForestWoodCo Agreed. A bit more Hayley is needed to keep those boys in line
Hi Black Forest, Great looking job, well done guys, PHIL FROM THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOULIN FRANCE.
Thanks so much Phil!
Thar ebony is beautiful. Nice work!!!
Thank you so much!
Excellent, this is by far the best video I have seen from this channel.
Glad you think so, I spent a long time editing this one!
Interesting they have a laundry with washing machine right next to their bedroom
I thought so too
This wood is screaming “aren’t I beautiful “! Great job guys.
Agreed! Thanks so much!
Well done on another of your Top Quality Build. Cheers from Papua New Guinea
Thanks so much David!
That wood is gorgeous. Oh to have the money for ebony or bubinga. Such beautiful colours and grains.
wow D! Interesting and nice format change. The whole video had a really nice flow to it!
Thank you! Glad you like this style!
My brother is semi retired now but he had a cabinet shop for 40 years. Your attention to detail reminds me of him. I understand the price for these projects as I've watched him over the years building projects he was proud of and I can tell you do the same. Very beautiful bedroom set. Worth every penny
Thanks so much! Yes, so much work and time go into these things!
Thanks for the comment!
Absolutely beautiful pieces, the wood is extremely magnificent ❤
Thank you very much Maddie!
as i have said before 1st class workmanship never disappointed. wood is awesome looking great job.
Thank you 😊
missed this one but all caught up. Beautiful bed great work again love this house too.
Your shorts lead me down the "rabbit hole" and got me to sub!!! So glad to see you have long form videos!
So incredibly talented and gorgeous work!!!
(Now I'm trying to think of something that I "need" made that I can't live without 😁)
I'm glad you like both our short-form and long-form content!
Thanks for your comment, and if you think of something and want us to build it, you know where to reach us 😄
That wood is just crazy beautiful! Nice work!
Thanks so much!
Wow. Wow. Wow.
Stunning work like always!
Thank you very much!
Great video!!! fantastic bed and side tables. Loved seeing the start to finish to install sequence in the video. A real pleasure to watch a group of talented craftsmen execute and bring to fruition a magnificent project. Thanks for an outstanding video.
Thanks so much for the comment! We'll have part 2 of this job coming out soon too, another full start to finish!
That wood is freaking beautiful.
🙌
the bed looks fantastic it suits well with the big wall art behind it good job guys!
Thank you so much!
You need more videos to keep me entertained.😢incredible work
Welcome back. Boy have I missed your video's. Beautiful work and beautiful timber and I applaud the lack of epoxy Yeah! Happy New Year to you and all the staff, keep up the good work. Cheers Michael.
Thank you Michael! This was a nice change up for us!
Happy New Year to you as well!
I like the way you do stuff, no bullshit and only things that are going to work for years to come. Very good work, filming it is a challenge on its own, and again superb filming. Thanks
Thank you so, so much! Really appreciated!
Very nice. The only somewhat negative comment would be that on the headboard, that beautiful wood on the bottom is never going to be seen. The quality is excellent and of course that lower portion needed to be the same material but it is too bad it is hidden.
Marvelous craftsmanship and beautiful wood. You guys do fantastic work. Please keep up your extremely talented work, and thank you.
Thank you very much, we will!!
That’s such a beautiful wood! I’m very envious.
Haha, so are we!
Thank you for that view from airplane window! Horizon at eye level. Just another proof that Earth is indeed Flat as we were told just around 60-80 years ago!
You have a really hard job as it is, thanks for filming and making videos of all of this too :)
Thanks for taking the time to comment!
Beautiful wood. Amazing craftsmen ship as usual
Thanks so much!
Nature is the best designer. The wood grains in this ensemble is phenomenal. Loved your work..Not sure about that thing hanging above on the wall tho. Is it a tribal piece?
Amazing work!!!
Thanks David!
Beautiful bedroom set! I’ve never worked with Brown Ebony before, It reminds me of Zebra Wood, But much more Beautiful and so much more Expensive….. Hope to see more projects like this in the Future 😊 Nice job Everyone!!!!
incredibly beautiful. Great job!
Thank you so much!
Wow! What a very nice bed!
It really is, thank you!
Very very nice and it is a beautiful bedroom set I would love to have!
Thank you so much!
Y’all ever heard of the Alaskan king size mattress? That thing is a monster at 108”x108”
Honestly, I hadn't until now! That is a monster haha
Gorgeous 💕
Beautiful!
Thank you Josephine 😊
Excellent job
Thank you very much!
What a beautiful bed. Great workmanship as usual. Hope the customer enjoys sleeping on the bed.
Thank you! And yes, us too! The bed looks so comfy, we were all jealous haha
Second half of this furniture package is up now!
czcams.com/video/XL5DOAvo7EY/video.html
Damn, that's some beautiful wood.
Agreed!
I love your videos, they give me an idea of how to do what I don't know how to do and put it into practice in my workshop, I hope one day to do work as perfect as yours, and visit you to see how you do it live. Incredibly tasteful and elegant bed.
If you want a really spectacular wood for your projects, look for the Mexican Ziricote wood, it is currently one of the most expensive in the world as well as the most beautiful and exotic, but it will be well worth a piece of yours with this wood, which is spectacular.
You made my day
Happy to hear that! 😁
My favorite par of your builds is the beautiful premium woods you source and of course your craftmanship. You called it brown ebony. Is it the same as Macassar ebony?
Watching u while working in garage)
That's awesome, what are you working on?!
That's beautiful.
Thank you! Agreed! 😁
Really nice bed. I like my slaps 2" max between and I love them to be 5 quarter sawn. I don't know if those are, but def look thicker than 3/4" This type of bed can support latex mattress (which is 200lbs) + 2 large adults,
Dylan take it easy on my man Brad, his hands were cramping haha
Hahaha, so sorry!!!
@@BlackForestWoodCo Plus I was on the bottom. All they had to do was hold it vertical!!!
Cool to see something different
Agreed! This one was fun to film and edit due to it being different!
Looks beautiful and ebony very expensive wood
Thank you, and yes it is!
Amazing. So jealous
Wow. I feel profligate if I use a piece of ebony to turn a pen! Never seen it used on such a huge piece. Great work guys.
Haha, I don't think I've seen it on a huge piece like this before either!
Very nice indeed
Thank you!!
You do beautiful work, and I watch your videos all the time, but it makes me cringe when I see you struggling with carrying some of the large panels. There are carrying straps called Forearm Forklift Straps that would make your job so much easier. I did not believe they would work until I got some, but they really do work.
Really nice guys.
Thanks so much!
@@BlackForestWoodCo no problem
40K? the rate needs to keep going up
Superior! Wow
Robertson head screws , mandatory in Canada. Top notch work.
It's our big claim to fame. Canada invented the Robertson screw!!!
Honestly i'm as a US born and bred, I can't stand phillips screws - I gave the robertson a try a few years ago and absolutely loved, never went back to Phillips.
Honestly boggles my mind to think about how Phillips even became the standard here, when the simple square is just so much better.
Beautiful - but how did you resist just jumping onto that bed? 😂😂
Maybe we just didn’t film that part 😜
@@BlackForestWoodCo 🤣🤣🤣🤣
A absolutely beautiful guys great work . Well back to the shop for to step my game up thanks for so inspiration, until next time.
Glad we can inspire!
If I ever win the lottery you guys will be asked to furnish my new house.
We would be honoured to do so!
Been missing your posts. But meeting client deadlines is also important. Send chews to Charlie.
We've been missing you guys as well! But we've been doing travelling and exciting deliveries lately!
Wonderfull work you guys doing . Still wondering about the translation of names of the wood . Ebony is mostly solid black with some fine dark brown lines (depends the density) . Albino Ebony is a contrast between Yellow and black veins . Could this be a Gaboon Ebony family of the Ebony . You're pieces are going towards a Zebrano wood color . Could you explain it a bit more . Curieus to learn
What brand of mattress was that?
Can you say what the dimensions of the nightstands are?
Absolutely a beautiful bed. Is there any particular mattress you like to work with over another mattress? Do you get many overseas orders? Again, such a beautiful bed. Congratulations and much success
Not really! Usually our clients select their mattress and we build accordingly.
We get about 10 overseas orders a year!
How many houses have their own funicular?
Put together really nicely. How rich is that owner? Lol
Haha 🤐
yeah dylan his hands gave out give the old man a break my pops does same stuff like he always says never get old but something that will happen to all of us
Very nice! Any worries about wood expansion and contraction on the dovetailed nightstands? It looks like you guys put screws in the worst spot possible imo.
Nope! The grain direction is all the same. We’ve never had issues with this style of joinery
Unreals.
Nice build. Looks like your everyday fishin' shack.
Thanks so much haha!
Little overkill on the slats, don't you think?? The wood is beautiful !!!
Hahaha just a little bit!
@@BlackForestWoodCo But I guess it's what the customers requested. Doesn't want it to collapse!!
@@ronallen6578 Yes, that bed is more than solid!
Gap is only slightly under recommended spec for this style of bed. Mattress only, no box spring.
Just curious but do you guts ever stain the wood in any of your table builds? Just wondering if the epoxy bonds through stain.
Rarely, but yes we have!
Do you have any videos of it or how does it turn out?
That is one big bed. I love the grain of the wood. Is this the first bed you have made?
Thanks Debbie! And yes, we're hoping to make more in the future!
These boys are so cute, especially the narrator. I wonder if he has a boyfriend, if not he needs one.
What’s happened with Joe M’s table? Feel like I subscribed to see that like a year ago haha
We delivered about 2 weeks ago Video coming soon!
@@bradthomas8711 love iiiiiit!
So osmo.
Was it 40k for just the bed unit?
$40k for the bed and the nighstands!
Brown ebony an oxymoron for sure…
But beautiful wood and nice to see no epoxy on this one..👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks so much! And yes, it was a nice change!
That wood is not Ebony. Only Diaspyros are correctly called “Ebony”.
You guys are very unusual- you have the skills that would allow a thing to succeed on its own merits; however, you also have a habit of the grandiose- talking about money constantly and misstating the rarity of a thing or- in this case- incorrectly describing the species as ebony. Odd, craftsmen need not channel PT Barnum. Let the work speak for itself- it’s more honest and you will sleep better at night.
I hope the customer realizes this. GL Veneer is a first rate organization- I would very much hesitate before accusing them of misrepresenting the nature of the wood you purchased. Did they tell you it was, in fact, not ebony?
BROWN EBONY?😳😳😳😳
Eeeh the bed hardware is gonna be squeaky in a few weeks
My wife has more of a crush on your dad than she does Joe
Wow that's just such a waste of money.... you can go to Raymour or Ashley and get a 100x better looking bed for a grand or two.
Misleading to call this ebony at all. This is most likely Sebastiania brasiliensis, from Brazil. True ebonies should be from the Diospyros genus, and are much more beautiful than this, also much rarer, with better qualities. While this wood is nice to look at, it's not even in the same league of, say, black and white ebony or macassar ebony.
WHO CARES? Not me!
Yet here you are
Lol obviously cared enough to watch and post. Poser
