Anyone who questions the price of these things should watch this video. It's clear how much material, manpower, and care go into making (and delivering!) them, and making the client happy. You guys earned every penny!
Exactly! It’s a massive effort to accomplish something like this. Thank you 😊
I also work in the space of high end quality timber products. People don't realise the care that goes into these things to get what the customer wants. And that's where the cost is
@@BlackForestWoodCo “The price of these things” is determined by the market. If a person is willing to pay what you’re charging, more power to you. If I had the money, damn right I’d be calling you. Lol. Worth every penny.
Holy cow. Not sure how you guys stayed so calm. Watching the installation made me nervous.
Hahaha we may of looked calm but everyone was freaking out a little. Thank you!
Anyone who questions the price of any custom woodworking should get an idea of the time it takes
I'm a Renovation Advisor with Reborn Renovations in Calgary, and we had a team building event at the launch pad recently. We were blown away by the upstairs piece. It is amazing! It was not hard to track down where it came from due to this great video. I love your work and keep up the awsome videos. Hopefully we cross paths soon.
Thanks Chris, glad you liked our work! And yes, hopefully we will soon!
Wow! You guys have made so many incredible pieces but, this one is absolutely the crowning jewel. Just stunningly beautiful! Watching the logistics of that move and install had me holding my breath.. I can’t imagine how stressful that moment was for all of you! The LED lights show off every inch of gorgeousness, I hope more of your clients want to incorporate them into their pieces. Amazing job guys!
Thank you Funo! This was absolutely one of our most rewarding builds, we couldn’t do it without our incredible team
Whew! That lift of the large bar top was heart stopping but what a show stopper. Beautiful work.
The sheer scope of this project is so daunting. It's really impressive that you could even attempt something this huge!
It’s not that BIG of a project when it pays in excess of $100K. Beautiful, Creative beyond imagination, perfectly executed!
The first thing I thought about seeing that pallet is imagining the desk and couch that could be made from it in a few years. Man, that pallet wood trend hit me hard.
Acrylic is a thermoplastic. You can re-melt it, which is really easy to do at the sanded face level. Epoxy is a thermoset. You can soften it if you raise the temp higher than the cure temp, but you cannot "melt" it. It will be pliable and then it will burn. You have to buff it out.
Very nice work. The lighting underneath brings the bar top to life. Worked perfectly with the slick look of the location.
I would have to had a new set of shorts raising that up that high. Beautiful job. Your employees are the best
Hahaha, a few of almost needed a new pair of shorts after this. Thanks Steve, and our employees really are!!
Boy I don't know how you guys walk with balls that big I was freaking out and I'm not even in the same country!! Lol great job guys.
I’m not sure how or why but y’all should be killing it. Your content is good and y’all do everything right. I hope y’all continue to grow so we can keep watching awesome builds.
Don’t worry we’re going to keep doing what we’re doing! We’re grateful for the audience we have any hope it continues to grow 😊
Buckeye my favorite wood. I used to go to Tierra Bella Ca. there was a wood cutter selling clock and table slabs.
Fan - bloody - tastic....................... as always, well done to everyone
WOW guys. You are the best, hands down. An A+ again. Just love you and best wishes as always. Hi to Charlie. 🐾🤗🐾
You guys ROCK!! What an awesome video and project! I shared it on Facebook and Twitter. We need to make your company WORLD FAMOUS!
Now THIS is what I am talkin' about !!! Full feature of the burl surface, bottom, top, sides, and all around being able to be seen with the backlighting !!!
You guys do awesome work! You have been one of my inspirations to grow my content creation of my business!
That is one gorgeous bar top! I was holding my breath as it was hoisted up. it's always unfortunate when a less aware crew mishandles the product, but at least it was recoverable. Fantastic work!
that was nerve racking I can just imagine being there love the look of the lights and the burl too
That's amazing. You guys take it to another level. Beautiful as usual.
The end result was absolutely gorgeous! You should get a lot more requests like this.
Oh my!! Great job on the choice of wood, placement, pour and lights :)). Loved this vid and explanation. Thank you.
Wow those are beautiful bar tops. Great job., that’s an interesting atmosphere. ♥️

Love to watch y’all work together on these big projects! Lots of great teamwork and out of this world results.
You guys are great as a team, and I would hire Dillon in a heartbeat, every team needs a Dillon.
Great video!!! I was sweating and nervous watching the video, I can only imagine being there in person. Really liking the start to finish format - choosing wood, pouring resin, finishing, install, seeing the piece in use!!! Keep up the outstanding work!!!
Thanks as always John! We appreciate the continued support from you. Also glad you’re liking this format!
I've personally done probably 50+ Bar top resturants' bar tops and epoxy pours and every couple of years came back and done re-pours over a 20 year span for mostly the same clients/ bar owners in multiple states and abroad. One thing Ive learned through oit the years, especially in the construction phase of bar build outs is always work from the finishes backwards and complete all the prepwork in structual/ weight loads, low maintenance, water proof materials ect... the mistake on having to add brackets supports and most likely no solid backing should have been addressed by the G.C. in the framing phase . A couple 4x4 Pt stud posts @ multiple locations and marked locations on a set of asbuilt plans and alot of photos of the framing w/ Dimension spec locations is cheap and a huge time and cost saver.
As for your video, a very excellent quality professional job done w/very well thought professionalism. Your company represents our trades very well.
Just a suggestion : the Equipment Jacks you used I've used setting 1,000lb marble columns to lift up to 2nd floor locations. They were a back saver and I doubted the main stairs would support the weight w / just 1 column and 6 to 8 mens weight on top of that. Strap your material and use multiple lifts. A little trick I did was lay a 3/4 plywood runner coarse on the floor @ the front end wheels to compensate for the weight of my materials tipping the Jacks down.
Thank you again for a great video. Always a joy seeing the youth take great pride in the trades. We are a dying breed these days
Stunning!! You guys do awesome work and I am blown away with each of your different projects, but this, by far, is your most stunning piece!!
Another awesome video brother stay strong and God bless. Unbelievable job.
This is totally the best yet! An amazing job, great team work, a beautiful timber and resin combination, the lighting is awesome and the filming is so professional it,s a joy to watch. Wow what more can I say, you all did really well. Thanks for the video, cheers Michael.
Thank you so much Michael! We’ve been trying hard to up our CZcams game!
Those pieces are SOOOOOOO SICK!!!! I haven't made any resin art yet myself but I came across it by accident here on CZcams, and I want to do it, and LEDs quickly came to mind, and here it is... ABSOLUTELY MIND BLOWING!!! I heard about you from Cam at Blacktail Studio.
This is the first video I’ve watched from your channel. Absolutely stunning results. Good job to everyone involved.
Beautiful work!
That is likely the coolest looking top I've seen. Great work guys. I've been a building contractor for the last 25yrs and you really have me considering a side gig and starting to learn this process so I can offer clients something "one off" and that no other can. Thanks for showing us the amazing items your team creates
Spectacular visual!
*BEAUTIFUL* freaking table!! If you find yourself in a similar situation in the future, place the jacks on opposite sides of the countertop. 👌🏼
Fantastic, in human efforts 😃unbelievable work. I like to witness in person.
That was the most nerve-racking woodworking video I've ever seen :) Amazing work!
Wow!
The steps you take and description are clear and the workmanship is the finest, Congratulations. also beautiful wood
You guys always do great work! Super awesome to see it all come together and how it looked. My only question now is, when is Dylan getting his haircut?
A worthy tree. Great job! 👌
You guys do impressive work !
I sent your video to Chateau Diaries, they have a large property, and could do amazing things, doing and learning your skills. I really enjoyed video.
Absolutely the most beautiful work of art I’ve ever seen done with epoxy and I was literally on the edge of my seat during that build! I’m beyond impressed! You and your team are the best of the best! 👍🏼💐🍷🍻👏😜😎
Love the table
Acrylic is a thermoplastic- it melts. Epoxy is a thermoset- it does not melt, but chars instead. Can’t flame polish thermosets. Blessings!
I know I keep repeating this but BFWC's crew are artist. that Buckeye burl adds so much depth to the bar top is amazing. I bet some of the crew had to change shorts when the bar top started to slide off the forks. LOL Stay safe
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe epoxy resin doesn't flame polish because it doesn't really melt in the conventional sense. It will soften and get flexible, but from my own experience and the research I've done, it doesn't really re-liquify because of its nature as a thermosetting polymer as opposed to acrylic which is a thermoplastic polymer (technical jargon, but it just means that they are molecularly different from one another, and have different properties as a result, i.e. how they each behave when subjected to high heat)
wow - this turned out incredible! im so impressed with how the custom lighting design worked out - it's absolutely stunning!! also I hope they fired that cleaner! haha good work guys
Sweet Lordy! What a work! I wish I knew guys like you in Finland. Such talents. Such dedication. This work is too handsome to not to watch. God bless your backs and lungs. :) Greetings.
awesome
Hey guys awesome job. I love your guys work been following you for quite a while. I have worked with those hand crank jacks more than I'd like to admit haha in setting up concert stages and big heavy trust. I have ran into the same issues you guys did where stuff wants to slide off. So either tie a lifting strap and a shackle around it so it can't slide off Or if you're in a situation like you guys were where you need to lift up and slide you guys could put little blocks at the end of the forks so that nothing can slide off and Just use a c clamp or any type of clamp to hold the blocks. 👌
Don't you just hold your breath when moving long pieces wondering if it's going to crack on you. This Bar top looks amazing.
Once again you have delivered. That’s an unbelievably stunning bar. Well bloody done guys.
And maybe, just maybe you could take golf lessons - that ‘swing’ was terrific 😂
ps, what did Charlie think of the bar tops 🤔
That’s one hell of a video and an incredible install beautiful table. I’ve got several tables I’m doing for a commercial business that’s gonna get a lot of wear and tear on the top just like yours what was the process to use to make sure the top doesn’t scratch in such a abusive environment
We use a high quality urethane topped with our ceramics! No finish is bulletproof but this is the best combo we have found for durability.
Epoxy is a thermoset plastic so once it's hard heat won't be able to turn it back to a liquid state whereas acrylic is a thermoplastic so heat can melt it and let it self-level on the surface.

Thanks so much for the explanation!
