In this video we're transforming a basic looking dresser that's at the end of its life into a stunning modern accent piece. The original drawer slides on this piece were not up to the standard for things we want to sell, so we took on the task of replacing them with new tracks. This was our first time tackling this type of project and we made several mistakes and learned a lot in the process. It's our privilege to create content while saving gorgeous pieces of furniture from the dump and restoring them so they can look better than ever! We're always excited to try new things, shoot for the moon, and share with y'all the results of our efforts as well as the bumps along the way. We hope you enjoy our videos!

I am enjoying the longer videos showing the entire process of the project. The shorts are like the "trailer" of the whole movie to come! 😁
Another great piece!
I’m glad you included the struggle. Your finished product is a hit
Oh man! I feel your pain installing drawers! Kudos on the final piece! ❤️
Beautiful!
Beautiful!!
Great job! Well worth the hard work.
Your videos are one of the best on CZcams . Thanks.
It turned out great. Really nice piece
Love this piece ….your hard work paid off 🏆
This piece looks awesome! Thank you for showing your process here. My wife and I are looking to get into furniture flipping so it’s good to see we’re not the only one who run into occasional snags!
It's beautiful
Excellent 👍
Final product is awesome! I feel the frustration with wonky pieces. Just finished a server/buffet and for some reason one of the 2 doors kept “catching” along the bottom. Didn’t paint the bottom, take it off it’s hinges or anything. Thought it might have been the humidity in the garage so I brought it inside. Nope! Hand sanded the bottom of the door with 80 grit and still no luck. Finally used the orbital upside down and that was the ticket! Really like your videos! Thanks for sharing your ups and downs, always helpful!
Another great video. Would you mind to do the video how to use band saw to split dowels? Thank you
Wow! This looks 10,000 times better than when it started. I wasn't sure how it was going to go, but I am glad ya'll were able to figure it out! I want to do stuff like this and watching your videos gives me such inspiration!
I would like to know if ya'll already had the necessary tools to start with, or how much money it took to get started with the basic necessities?? Please let me know if you can?
So beautiful!! Would you be able to share what size wooden dowels you use?
Could you please film a video on how to make the jig to rip the dowels in half? They are so much more expensive already cut in half and am avoiding making any pieces because I don't have the budget. Thanks
Dowels are not really for decorating they may cause you headaches with finished pieces, down the road. i.e. swelling, chipping, warping. They are meant to be compressed. Not that you can't use them, but as I say... Peace
When will the dowels be available for purchase? Thank you
Why does filler go over primer? Doesn't the primer inhibit the bonding of the filler with the wood?
You said in the vid you have an etsy shop. Can you link to it?
where did you get the handles?
Are you selling half rounds? If so what's the longest size?
Love your flips and always good inspiration But In your title you put (beginner Drawer glides) so I Thought You'd Slow the video down and Possibly Teach us ...🥴👍
Hi beautifull work, where can i buy the fluted wood panels? Online i live in europe.
@@greenbeansboro thank you, can you send me the link?

yOU Had the right idea the first time. You just had the wood piece in the wrong orientation. And you want a wider board too, like a 1x6, nice flat one, make sure your ends are parallel/square, trim to the height you need the bottom of the slide at, check the bottom panel of the cabinet is level. Then put the wood flat like paint, rest your slide on the wood, move to other side, trim same board for next height.... czcams.com/video/GghIQwrXuig/video.html
Just mho, but I kinda hate those dowels. Aesthetically, and as a builder:) I mean, way too much work, and they need to be sanded and sealed, so more work. If you don't seal them, they will expand, buckle, twist, chip over time. And there's so much of it, it will look crappy, quickly. Maybe if you hid the ends with a frame, but still. I thought a glass cover over it might make a nice effect, but you still don't need them. Put a 3d wallpaper behind glass, way easier and cheaper. It does look better, but it still looks kind of Hawaiian tropical hut, too, bc of the dowel work.
Lol, sorry, also the paint over old paint and varnish may be a bad idea. You should strip at least the old varnish, bc it is still vaping fumes, your paint may bubble and crack from below. The paint may still be offing water vapor, too. Also there is health risks involved with all that. You don't want to make someone sick. If it's solid wood, you'd be surprised how easy it can be to strip, then sand, and have, nice, real wood, no chemicals. Also paint is thick, it wasn't the problem here, but 1 day it will be the extra paint build up that is binding somewhere.
Trying to put myself to sleep, I think it worked:)
Peace
