Hi! a way to save $ is to use vinyl fabric for outdoor Furniture. It looks just like cane easier to work with and only $20 a yard. Not sure if you have a Joann Fabric store ,but that's where I get mind, plenty of colors also.
Great video!!
Your skills continue to improve… your attention to detail…your finished project! Wow! Have you considered after cleaning the insides to nourish (wax) or seal with pleasing wax? The “old” wood would appreciate the attention and client would notice the fresh aroma.
i typically do! just don't alwayss show it in videos! thanks for your kind words!
I think it would have been a better idea to join the wooden slats together and make a frame and then attach to the drawers. The miter corners would look cleaner that way.
Great job. This is better quality than anything they would have purchased at a store.
Looks awesome Lauren, really nice job. I will say that you made the right call on the handles because knobs on a dresser sucks because you can get caught on them. As a mom, carrying a baby and wearing a robe it happened to me and it happened so often that I just took the knobs off lol.
The dresser had recessed space for opening them. You did a great job on the wrong piece imo..
Beautiful job on the dresser!
Lauren, you did a fabulous job. The only thing I would have done if it was my dresser, I would not have added the hardware. I love the original carved out use of opening better.
Thanks so much! 😊the customer requested hardware
Hi Lauren. I wish you could see my bedroom furniture. It was my parent's and was bought in 1955, the year they got married. It's the blonde stain, but has darkened over the years. There is a dresser, a chest of drawers and a headboard with a bookcase. I love this furniture!! Still has the original hardware too!! Love your channel!!
Nice work, Lauren. I think you were right about the hardware.
Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! Wow! Wow! What a beautiful piece!! No doubt about it. Painting that piece would never, ever looked as good as refinishing it. The cane was the chef’s kiss. A-plus-plus!!
WHAT A TREASURE FROM BABYHOOD TO TEEN THAT DRESSER WILL BE A FAMILY HEIRLOOM FOR YEARS TO COME
For that price it should be. I couldn't justify price gouging a 20-year pregnant friend for $60 an hour.
Very nice...I like the finished color. Not too sure about the caning and wood beveled edges when the infant fingers become exploring toddler fingers.
❤ yours absolutely was better!!! Turned out beautiful!🥰
So sad we didn’t get to see the nightstands. I look forward to that in your videos!
Hmmmm first piece I don’t like, everyone’s taste is different so great job!
Yes, I think she could have done a better job on this piece.
I like it but not for that crazy price.
I discovered that I love painting and found you. Thank you for making it easy.
Looks great. I could still see the touch up stains on drawer fronts. Did that fade away z.
That dresser turned out beautifully and I loved the cane look. It is very trendy as well. I can also see it in a coastal area for sure. Any where is beautiful but you may be having more clients wanting that cane look now that you have done this so beautifully.
Best of luck..........everything is looking beautiful.
Love when you flip furniture. I hope you’ll stick to it. Wonderful ur friend will be able to tell her baby you did this by hand just for him/her.❤
That turned out amazing. You did a wonderful job. ❤️
Love the colour of the gel stain. Great job❤
This project was the best!!!❤❤❤
You did a fabulous job. Your attention to detail is impressive. Its all a bit too much cane for me. I do admire the finished product.
It's always best to "trust your gut". It looks great!😊
Very skillfully done. Beautiful results!!!
Looks beautiful, such a lot of work! Could you have tried to see what the round knobs would have looked like in the middle of the square draws? Maybe no good but it would have been interesting to see😀
Love that piece
Whoa! That looks like a completely different piece of furniture; you did so awesome!
GORGEOUS!
I think you are right about the handles that looks much better than knobs
Another beautiful piece. Don’t ya love the end result of a challenge! You should be so proud of yourself. She is going to LOVE it❤️❤️😁❤️❤️😁
That is simply gorgeous! You Rock!
Love this one
This is gorgeous and just perfect for a nursery!! 🥰
Great job Lauren!! 🤩
So Beautiful
You nailed it!😍
This piece is gorgeous Lauren
Gorgeous. I love it
Great job at staging. Those little touches completed you’re look. May be your best one yet! Looks fantastic
You did an awesome job, Lauren. I love, love, love that you share the numbers. You're an inspiration!
Another beautiful flip. You friend/client should be thrilled. I love how you are incorporating stain and related techniques in your videos. The breakdown in cost adds an element of interest to your work. Great job.
Love the look!😊
Absolutely beautiful great job ❤
Your talent and abilities are so admirable. I loved how it looked the last time around, and this is just refined and kind of more glamorous. And the gold was the right call for the elevated look. ❤
Hey Lauren,
Awesome results! All the details; you are next level skilled! 😊
Thanks for showing us the numbers. Very helpful. ❤
D
Just beautiful ❤
I love how this piece turned out.
I love the cane. Looks so much better in this stain. While the blonde wood is ice. This is perfect.
In reference to the spacing between the cane. I think you might be able to avoid a gap if you router a lip around the inside edge of the frame. Almost like setting a glass in a cupboard cabinet. It’s a lot of work for sure.
Great job, Lauren! You always come through with things. I love watching your videos!🥰👍💜
Turned out beautifully.
Really awesome flip! Thanks for sharing!! ❤❤
You did it again! Perfection!😊
Lauren, your work always turns out amazingly beautiful. I'm forever your fan! 😊
LOVE THE WAY YOU MEASURED WOOD STRIPS, I WOULD HAVE THE THE EXACT THING. TURNED OUT SO NICE, LOVE WATCHING YOU
Gorgeous. Love the cane.
Great job. Looks really original.
Thanks for sharing👍🏻😃
You do such great work!!!😊🎉❤
I saw someone on tube who sharpens her blade of the scraper. Just a thought to save some money.

Love it! Beautiful! ❤
Love the transformation 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for showing and using the miter shears!!! I have been wondering about those as I don’t have a miter saw. You linking to them makes it so easy for us to order. Thank you and great job on this piece!
This is beautiful.
and Mrs T Great job the dresser looks amazing the handles are all perfect
Gorgeous!
Look fantastic! Thanks so much for breaking down time and money, super helpful
for sure! glad it helps you out!
looks fab👍
So that's how you shorten a screw!😊
Great job and video as usual!
Looks great!!!!!!
My favorite videos are always the ones where you flip furniture! I'm definitely struggling with topcoats lately. Cant quite get a smooth finish. Usually to watered down or too streaky. Yours looks amazing.
1950's?? Whadda ya know! I'm mid-century modern😎❣
love it! 😀
Hahahaha me too!
Awesome job.
The dresser is cool even in the before!
Beautiful
Beautiful ❤
Sue Wolfe- Great job, Lauren! The caning looks amazing. You didn't show it, but did you fill in the corners of the frames with filler, as well? 👏👍💪❤️
love the flex XD
I am a college student and I want to flip furniture for my extra earning which will help me fund my study
awesome! check out the links below for more info on how to join our coaching program!
i appreciate the calculation breakdown
Yeay..
Im finally #1....
Love you guys...❤
Thanks for using black marker. Could read your cost calcs clearly.
The music 😳 but great work!
Absolutely my favorite piece you’ve ever done. Also your piece looks much better than your inspiration picture. It turned out stunning! Can you link the tool you used to cut the screws please?
thank you so much Karen! the link is to my amazon storefront which the tool is linked 😀
I like the overall look but was surprised you did not caulk wood slat mitered corners. The gap is very noticeable.
Just keep your blade sharpened and it will last longer
I loved the before and the after. I do agree with someone else on here about the creepy music in the beginning. Did you use the wood filler in the corners of the wood you put on the drawers? How long did you soak the cane you put in water and did you put on on wet or dry?
Mitered corners aren’t great - needs caulking?
@@Scarlet-qg1xi The miter joints are sloppy on all nine drawers
Those corners could have looked so much cleaner if wood filler would have been used. Those details are what make a piece.
I agree beautiful job. However, I would have filled in those cracks showing on the corners of the strips of wood she used on each drawer front.
Better to use a mida saw.
Looks beautiful.I have recently bought a piece inspired by watching your videos. However the top of the dresser has a laminate.Would you suggest sanding it down or using a primer before repainting it? Could you point to your videos if any that had a laminate dresser flip.TIA
I’m here for her answer to your question! I’ve wondered as well.
what a great great flip.....and what said the costumer about it??
The cane should be applied wet.
How do you determine when to scrape, sand or strip?
Once again, you've performed a great transformation, Lauren. Do you have any suggestions about finding a furniture artist in my locale who can update a piece for me?
I'm by no means a wood worker but there must be some tool that would cut away some of the frame so the cane could nestle into it.
That tool is a router.
