@@pauiepot I think it’s the pacing of the music, at least for me. Extremely similar pacing between kpop and metal music. Listen to this song, and then listen to Trapped Under Ice by Metallica. Hopefully you’ll see what I mean. Rollin’ from Twicetagram is extremely reminiscent of NIN too and I’ve heard a couple others say the same thing.
I always find that surprising and interesting as well. There's so many metalheads who actually really like Twice outside of metal/rock. It's something you would never expect. A hardcore metalhead sitting and walking around listening to Twice.
I need to check out the album then! For M&M I didn’t care for the title track but I really enjoyed some of the bsides. But also this song is literally so good, I tried to avoid listening while my bias group was promoting but it was really heard cause the choreo alone is so good and the song itself is catchy 😭

Like you said because of the choreo i think when they sing live they probably won't do the adlibs part live and if they ever do it probably be rare on live performances. Cute music always had a cringe factor for me except when it came to Twice they sorta broke down that barrier for me. I seem to enjoy both the new stuff just as much as the old so if they stick with this path I'm cool with it. Forever I was told by my chorus teacher when I was younger (yearssss ago), that to hit high notes you have to sit/stand up straight. But I was always ALWAYS able to hit my highest notes laying flat on the ground. So when I heard that I was like, “yep. I get it.”
