Durian season in Malaysia typically runs from June to August, with a secondary, smaller season occurring from November to January. During these periods, a wide variety of durians are harvested, including popular varieties like Musang King, D24, and Red Prawn. The peak season can vary slightly depending on the region and weather conditions.
The most renowned Malaysian durian is the Musang King, also known as Mao Shan Wang. It is highly prized for its creamy texture, rich flavor, and distinctive golden-yellow flesh. Musang King is often considered the best and most sought-after durian variety, not only in Malaysia but also internationally, particularly in China. Its high quality and unique taste make it the "king of fruits" in the durian world. The best part is that Malaysia is expected to start exporting fresh durians to China due to the soaring demand for the King of Fruits there. Will it affect prices in Malaysia? I'm hopefully not. Let's just wait and see!
In 2024, Musang King durians in Malaysia have experienced a price drop, making them more accessible. Some more the durian prices tend to be lower due to increased supply. However, sometimes durian price depends on the durian variety, and of course, kampung durian is always quite cheap in the market.

After exploring Petaling Jaya (PJ) the best part about PJ, it is not only renowned for its vibrant durian scene but also a food haven with a diverse culinary scene ranging from local street food to international cuisines. Because I heard there's a bustling Night Market in SS2 opens on Monday. The iconic SS2 Night Market is strategically located in one of the most crowded areas in Petaling Jaya. Maybe some other time we'll try to explore the Best Street Food in PJ Town.
There are several free bus services operated by the local government in Petaling Jaya, known as PJ City Bus. As a public transportation traveller, we must stay active using the convenient and affordable transportation to travel around the cities in Malaysia. wonderful review, i live in south india. My neighbour got a durian tree about 20 years old. Past five years it started giving fruits. But we are unaware of its name. On looking at the fruit can anyone confirm the name of the durian variety !
Malaysia has varieties of durian. From Musang King, Black Thorn, IOI, Red prawns durian, kampung durian from the village and many more. Each type of durian has a unique texture, taste and color.

Bagi saya durian negara kita sedap dan hebat. Pernah rasa durian di jakarta,bangkok tetapi tidak enak mungkin silap pilih i not sure.maybe durian vietnam better sebab China impot dari vietnam.
