On the surface, this was a good talk from a charismatic individual. And that's the problem.
I've only read one article about this gentleman. Years and years ago. And it made me so sick that I remembered it enough to remember his name. I sincerely hope he's gotten help since that time, because in the article he displayed every characteristic of narcissistic personality disorder.
People look up to charming, charismatic individuals. And they do say things that most people are afraid to say. I don't think that's a bad thing. Charm, wit, intelligence, openness are wonderful characteristics. But they can be weaponized when they come from dishonest, untrustworthy individuals.
People who idolize Wolf of Wall Street type characters can't see past the charm to realize these people for what they are. Predators. The person the Wolf of Wall Street was written about was a con artist and a thief. A good con artist and a thief, but a predator nonetheless. Too many people forget that. I don't care how successful this guy is, or how many books he sold, or how much money he has. If he doesn't have integrity and is untrustworthy, he should not be a featured speaker on your channel.
I know nothing about this speaker except what I read years ago, and that he is still talking about his narcissistic characteristics. Joking about them doesn't make them any less real. Stop being so impressed with his performance and examine whether or not he's a decent person worth listening to.
