There is a country that is not part of The Netherlands (any more), but that is tropical and where Dutch is still spoken (in addition to Sranantongo and other local languages): Suriname. You may want to look into that.

I am a city guy who grew up in a small village in the south of the Netherlands (Noord-Brabant). I moved to Amsterdam when I was 19. I am now 47. I always said that if I grew tired of Amsterdam, I would move to London, Paris or Berlin. London is no longer an option for me since Brexit, Paris has to much of a language barrier for me, so if I do grow tired of Amsterdam, Berlin will be my next home.

Bonaire isn't a country. Aruba and Curaçao are but they have their own government and their current situation isn't good. South Africa speaks Afrikaans, which is very close to Dutch. If you speak Dutch you would have no issue understanding Afrikaans. Josephine, in case you didn't know, Gothenburg is of Dutch origin. It was a town build by Dutch Low Saxon merchants of the Hanseatic League, much like Danzig/Danswijk/Gdansk. Actually Poland is trying to remove German's influence and make it more Dutch.

My dear Josphine: There are countries to enjoy for a few weeks visit... Most of these countries you mention are in this category in my opinion. But then there are the practical consequences of actually emigrating to these countries. If you feel discriminated in The Netherlands... Move to the UAE .... Discrimination is on another level! The countries in this region are not so open minded as The Netherlands. Yes if you bring a lot of money you are welcome everywhere. But if you intend to dig for gold there... try again.. You will only get into low paid jobs no matter your education.
Switzerland is closed for long term stay; so is Norway. Very very hard to emigrate too. Also: Both countries are extremely rich AND ENORMOUSLY expensive!
The A,B,C islands: Antillians emigrate for economical reasons to the Netherlands... There are no jobs except for some business areas. Nice for rich retired people not to build a future there.
Sweden is a very nice country but life is pretty expensive and winters are COLD !! I mean minus 25 degrees cold. And long!
And Canada: Well you mentioned it: Can be VERY cold there !!
There are the dreams and there is the reality!
You captured it really well. There is indeed reality of moving to these countries which I haven’t explored much. For now I’ll sit tight and enjoy the moments here.

Suriname also speaks Dutch (it's there mother tongue). But I don't recommend Suriname to move to.
Little disappointed in the video. You seem to pick the countries you have visited on a holiday or see it as a future holiday destination. Your arguments seem a bit thin. Sweden and Norway (and don't forget Denmark), and specially Curaçao, are also on my list for a holiday but the other countries you should seriously go a bit deeper and talk to people that can tell you what society's underbelly is and what it is like to live there as an immigrant or a person of color.
Not from personal experience, but the other countries you mention are not very gentle on people that aren't born there, if you catch my drift. This is told to me by (good) friends here in Asia (Chinese, Indians, among others) who actually lived/worked there for many years and they were treated like second class citizens. Maybe it doesn't apply to you as a highly skilled person but still I would try to learn a little bit more from personal experience of others.
My list is/was live in the US for a slightly longer period of time (checked), live in Asia (checked) and visit Australia, South-Africa and Argentina, apart from the ones mentioned above. Brasil was on the list as well but it is simply too dangerous if you have white skin. Australia (sadly from personal experience) is a country I would never visit any longer without going into detail(s). The accent and attitude alone, makes my skin crawl.
Nowadays, I would not visit the US because it is simply not safe and I would be scared to open my mouth at any point or would be afraid to just smile, although I have a very good friend in Seattle I am supposed to visit. Canada, a lot of Dutch farmers moved there over time out of dissatisfaction with the Dutch government rulings on farming but I would certainly love to visit. Same as go to Tuscany in Italy for an extended vacation but also put my butt on a Spanish beach and do nothing (most Dutch teenagers do by bus but I never did) or rent a holiday home in a park in The Netherlands itself and drink beer every day, fart and show my beerbelly off.
Egypt, Portugal, Turkey, the south of Morocco or the South of Spain could be a holiday destination for me but for holidays only with maybe the exception of Portugal as a place I maybe would love to live a longer period of time. Asia, I have seen most countries and there is not one I would feel like living or go back a second time. Driving through the Andes mountains in South-America (Peru and surrounding countries), I might do some day as well. When it comes to Africa, no real desire to visit but maybe if I would get some more knowledge of the countries/continent there would be places I would like to see. But I do not like to look at other people's misery for sure. A (boat) trip on or drive along the Donau/Danube in Germany I should not forget either.
Most destinations in Europe I have seen and I am always open to re-visit. I am kinda over the fact to live in areas of the world where people live in less fortunate circumstances and being perceived as more fortunate, living in Asia myself. Would I seriously consider living somewhere else? I have outgrown the idea I guess and would only move back to The Netherlands as a base and go for holidays when I feel like it and budget allows. Guess I realize that I was lucky enough to be born Dutch and there aren't many places that can challenge that....
Hi Alex. First of all thanks for sharing your experience. I’m glad you’ve spent time travelling and gathering your own experience and ticking off countries from your list.
I have no desire to leave the Netherlands anytime soon hence I didn’t take a deep dive into these countries to really do a good research. These are just places at the top of my head that I loved visiting and will be happy to go back to chill for a while. I think the video reflects that. With your experience I’m thinking to add more countries to the list, for a holiday at the very least 🤗
@@josphineogugua I just bumped into a video of Annecy. Totally forgot about that. Been there once on a day trip and it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Take the high speed train (Grand Vitesse) to Aix-les-Bains in France (station Lyon) where I sepend a holiday and the surroundings itself there are amazing. I went paragliding there as well (as a passenger). Then you can take a local train to Annecy in Switzerland for a few days.

I am Dutch. My list is significantly smaller than yours. UK, Spain and my favourite: Portugal.

All of the countries that you mentioned except the the UK, take you further away from your family, so that must be a con as well.
I'm about to retire and I'm considering to leave the country for France or Romania. Both countries having a lot to offer naturewise. I master french to A2/B1 level which is an advantage for leaning Romanian which is a romance language too (with some slavic infuences though)
no African country on your list, while we also have beautiful countries and beautiful islands, Curaçao is comparable to Caboverde and the landscapes of Angola, no European country can compete with that.
