  • Its been a long time since I changed the injector harness in my Landover Defender Almost 6 years...!
It's one of those things that you forget to change... It's a serviceable item recommend changing every couple years which I hadn't basically forgot...
So thinking about it would there be oil in the ECU red plug...?
Which can cause so many problems that poor run in misfire the list goes on when is the last time you changed yours, whether that'll be a Defender or Discovery td5?
So with that in mind I set to work of changing it is it about half an hour's job Taken off the bolts around the rocket cover Unclipping The old injector harness out of the top of the Td5 Engine...
Giving everything a Once over while you're there a good clean Ready to fit the new injector harness...
Having a good friend of mine just to pop over give it a check over for me which is very helpful and kind...
I think we all forget to change this part definitely worth doing on your Td5

I can’t remember the last time I changed my injector harness on my Disco 2 Thor V8. 😁 I enjoy your Defender videos and the clean engine bay mate!

Just done mine but sealed the end first to prevent oil getting into the wires to where they always fail.

Great video thanks. Have you done a video on the oil breather catcher you have fitted, as looking to do the same?

Hi Rob, is it worth cleaning the injector heads when you’ve taken the harness off? I’m due to do mine in a couple of days

Hi Dan, yeah you can do that... I just used brake cleaner on the outside of the Td5 rock cover but if you're going to be doing any electrical parts just make sure you use electrical cleaner but it not necessary as the injector harness clips over the top of the injector on the Td5... Thanks for your message I hope you find it helpful Cheers Rob...👍
