5:38 On this home signal, route indicator is not one white light but a series of four white lamps mounted in a slanting fashion. when slanting is towards left, then the points on tracks are switched towards to the left and train turns to the left track. If the four white lamps are tilted to the right, the points on track are switched to the right and train turns to right. In this case of your diagram there are two sets of four slanting white lights one slanting to left and one slanting to right.
If the station master wants the train to come and stop on the left loop line, he operates the switch to divert the train to left loop line, and the series of four white indicator lights slanting to the left is on with yellow (correct term is amber) light and at the same time advance home signal shows double amber light. So the loco pilot from a distance sees the double amber at the advance home signal and starts to slow down the train anticipating an amber signal next at home signal. Next he sees the amber signal with four white lights slanting to left. Now he understands that the train has to enter the left loop line (may be a platform or maybe a loop line just to park. So he slows down the train within the permissible limit to pass on loop line over the switch.
I have seen many home signals with multiple indicators towards right as well as left. If there are three loop lines turning to the left then there are three series of four indicator lights. First series tilted at 45 degrees to indicate for entering the first loop line. then a second series four lights tilted at 90 degrees to enter the second loop line on left and third indicator of four white lights tilted down at 135 degrees to indicate train entering third loop line on the left.
Normally we see a symbol like anti clockwise written M on railway electric post. What dose that mean?
It's a symbol of indicating the loco pilot for upcoming signal during fog
