If it’s expensive then do it yourself. Remember you have to pay for the work and all the new parts that’s being replaced. I work as a mechanic in Norway and if u own one of these expensive cars the price is higher. It takes a lot of effort and precise work when dealing with AMG and all sports cars. In my country you would be charge around 25K to 30K Krons😊
@@ChupapiSalamander dude you can teach a monkey to do that in 30 minutes. Brake jobs are one of the easiest things to do on a car doesn't matter the price of the car.

Super Video, ich finde es super dass du nicht redest, da kann mann sich besser auf die Reparatur an sich Konzentrieren! Der Bremsenwechsel ist ja einfacher als die Trommelbremsen von meinem Corsa hahah

I'm from the UK and work for a Truck and Van Merc dealer. we don't do passenger cars, that was taken away from dealers 15 years ago. I will be doing front brakes tomorrow on a c63... those discs are monstrous! You have a smart workshop, Keep up the good work

The parts you are using, I noticed the pads were Brembo.. are those OEM for A45AMG, or you upgraded? Rotor Brembo as well?

Always thought grooved discs were directional. NS looks correct but OS looks wrong with the grooves. Also would have been a nice touch to maybe throw a little cleaner on there and maybe clean the springs etc down before throwing it back together. Oh and before people start asking what knowledge do I have..I have tested and developed breaking systems in performance cars for a number of years, for the likes of Mintex, Pagid and Ferrodo.
You made it look easy as expected and the old breaks were shot lol but sometimes that little extra says a lot about the technician ;)

Exact same process on my 07 charger srt8 super bee, really easy, only real annoyance is that a lot of the performance pads squeal, try spraying on a quieter before putting them in.

Moin, ich habe mal 'ne Frage. Weißt du zufällig ob die zweiteiligen 360mm Bremsscheiben vom W204 c63 auch auf den W205 mit 360mm Scheiben passen?
Mir geht es um das Gewicht und die Optik, so ein schwarzer Alutopf sieht besser aus als die Standardscheibe beim 205er.

Super Video, Danke dafür. Könntest du mir die Drehmomente für die Bremssattelschrauben und der Scheibenschraube nennen. Da ich bei VW gelernt habe und da die Drehmomente kenne aber jetzt ins MB Lager gewechselt bin würdest du mir damit helfen. Danke schon mal 👍

Hi. Werden die Gleitbolzen ( Führungsbolzen ) bei ATE Bremssattel geschmiert beim einbauen in die Gummibuchsen? Auf der Seite von ATE steht die Führungsbolzen werden Trocken verbaut. Bei WIS steht auch nichts von Schmieren. In den meisten Videos die auf CZcams zu finden sind, Schmieren die Leute die ein. Wie macht ihr das? Wie geht es nun richtig

zum besseren Verständnis. Montagestellung angefahren beiden Seiten Bremsbeläge gewechselt. Montagestellung verlassen. Nochmal Montagestellung angefahren nur den linken Sattel abmontiert neu geschmiert, Bremskolben zurück gedrückt, Montagestellung verlassen. Muss ich jetzt beide Seiten demontieren und beide Bremskolben zurückdrücken? wegen der Parkbremse

Do you recommend an oil change for the a45 before the recommended service A? preferably after the 1500km run-in period?
There is no need to change the oil before the first service, but of course you can do that.
Are the rims carbon or lightweight aluminum, or is this guy just very strong to lift them with one hand with ease

In this case you dont need to clean the rotors. The coating disappears when braking for the first time and dont effect the brake power.

why tighten the wheel bolts with torque wrench if you tighten them more tightly than prescribed by the impact wrench anyway The torque wrench just clicked and did not move a millimeter, so they are too tight
Great job know what your doing but what can I use to push the piston back like what you had
garydeandeery a pry bar or c-clamp this is simple stuff.
@@eyeorewolf i never use c-clamps for fixed calipers, too great a risk you can scratch up the paint and the opposite side pistons will move back out if you aren't counter-holding them in place....c-clamps work great for sliding calipers though. 2 prybars/long screw drivers work well if you don't have the proper pad spreader for these types of calipers.
@@JeeperZJ I've only done brakes on a Mercedes once and it was a 1998 E320 non-AMG model. I have done a lot of brakes on my personal vehicles and never yet had a caliper piston move back out on me but I admittedly haven't addressed the brakes on my SLK55 AMG yet so I appreciate your insight, with the cost of parts I definitely want to make sure I do the job right and don't do any damage even to the finish on the calipers. I can see where the multiple pistons on the AMG caliper may cause an issue with them wanting to move back out if they aren't compressed in unison or if they are spring loaded in some way, thanks for your input.

Hi. Sobalt meine Bremse hinten verschlissen ist, werde ich ein Video machen. Die Feststellbremse wird im Kombiinstrument in Montagestellung gebracht. Dazu muss man ins Werkstattmenü.
1. Zündschlüssel in die 1. Stellung bringen und sicherstellen das der Kilometerzähler angezeigt wird.
2. Zuerst die "Telefon abnehmen" Taste drücken/halten und dann zusätzlich die "OK" Taste drücken/halten bis du im Werkstattmenü landest.
3. Unter dem Menüpunkt Bremsbelagwechsel kannst du die Montageposition anfahren. Dazu muss die Feststellbremse gelöst sein. Nach der Reperatur wird dann im selben Menü die Montageposition wieder verlassen. Während die Montageposition angefarhen/verlassen wird darf das Bremspedal nicht betätigt werden.

Where the parking brakes engaged before you started ? I thought you had to press some kind of a button combination inside the caf to release the parking brakes when you do this kind of maintenance.
Yes, but only at the rear axle. There is a service menu in the car computer.

Geiles Video schön Professionell durchgeführt. Du hast doch vor einem Jahr die Bremsbeläge erneuert oder ?, dann hast du wohl öfters stärker gebremst um den AMG zu stoppen. Trotzdem geiles Video mach weiter so! 👍
Danke :) Ja, der letzte Satz Beläge hat nur 5.000 km gehalten. Hockenheim ist nicht der beste Ort um seine Bremsen zu schonen.

How many track miles do you have on the rotors? My Gla45 rotors started to have spider cracks already after two track days.
4 Laps Nordschleife, 3 Turns at 20 minutes on Lausitzring, 5 Turns at 20 minutes on Salzburgring, and 3 Turns at 40 minutes on Hockenheimring.
