Here are my 2 or 3 guesses on what the next Baldur’s Gate 3 expansions are Expansion 1: Fighting the Githyanki Queen. This expansion takes place a few months after the event of the main campaign. Some of the Githyanki, including Lae’zel realized that their queen Vlaakith has been lying to them this whole time about dealing with the Mind Flayers and the whole ascension thing. So Tav and the gang must help Lae’zel overthrow Vlaakith and restore order to the Githyanki kingdom. The ending choice will be who will lead the Githyanki after Vlaakith’s death. So it’s either Lae’zel, Orpheus or Tav if he/she is a Githyanki to be the next candidate to lead the Githyanki people Expansion 2: Trip to Avernus. The expansion takes place right when Tav, Wyll and Karlach are transported to hell. Tav must help Wyll and Karlach kill Zariel and free them from a life of slavery. There are 2 new companions who will join you on your quest, a male Drow Warlock and a female Tiefling Rogue who are both trapped in Hell and trying to get out. Expansion 3: Selune vs Shar. This expansion takes place a few months after the main campaign. Depending what choices you make for Shadowheart, you must help her wipe out either the Priesthood of Selune (If she’s a Dark Justiciar) or Shar herself (if Shadowheart’s a Selunite). The expansion will end with both Tav and Shadowheart defeating an avatar of either Selune or Shar. If Tav if male, Shadowheart will tell him that she’s pregnant since she’s been suffering from morning sickness and mood swings. If Tav is Female, you are given an option to allow Shadowheart to adopt a maximum of 2 children, a boy or girl and convert them into worshipping either Selune or Shar. Expansion 4: Fall of Mystara. The campaign takes place if you allow Gale to ascend to Godhood. You must help him fight Mystara and make her pay for what she did to Gale. The expansion will end with Gale taking Mystara’s place and swearing that he’ll be a better god than Mystara.

Save file corruption is just not a thing if you give it proper time to sync and use full saves instead of quick saves. I’ve had zero save issues and I play bg3 exclusively, and on Xbox. The issues I have had since the last patch is ui and extended pauses between some actions executing (not like cpu lag, feels more like net lag, but no network of course).
Maybe for you on the Xbox. On PC it absolutely is. Desync is a very real issue as well as I’ve had characters be literally trapped under the map and be totally unable to move or go to camp.🏕️
I also had zero save file problems on my PS5 copy. But there are some minor glitches like for some reason, once I freed the Nightsong, the Moon Pixie’s blessings vanish and once my team and I were teleported out of the Gauntlet of Shar, we were struck by the Shadow Curse.
@sherrydowns4052 - Same here! I also never used quick resume, always waited until saves were completely done, only had 15 or less save files and always exited the game to main menu after save was done then exited the game itself…. Never had an Xbox save issue! Personally, I think some people may have corrupted their own saves and not realized it.
Thanks for the news update! What Larian does next is gonna be huge news for the industry, hope they knock it out of the park again with their next game.
Me too dude, unfortunately I do think 🤔 we might be waiting a year or two. Oh well, lots of cool stuff coming in 2024 including the elden ring expansion.
This was a fun watch! I think any speculation about expansions right now is more a wish list than anything, but we did get some hints of things that could come next in BG3. I think they’ll pick a canonical end for each character, then write the expansion(s) accordingly. They already did that for the six months later party. It accounts for many possible choices, but not all (most notably becoming the absolute). If we get a story expansion, we’ll most likely get BG3: Into Avernus! or BG3: War of the Comet! The setup is already there for both. I’d really like to see Larian take a crack at Icewind Dale 3 or Planescape 2. :-)
Icewind dale 3 would be incredible. I’ve heard rumors about a lot of different IP’s being offered after how much BG3 made. It will certainly take a lot of time but I’m really hopeful that the next game will be absolutely incredible given the budget and the freedom of creation they will have.
Xbox Save is IS Xbox MS Firmware issue, it’s Not Larian Studios!! Too many are bombing the reviews and calling out Larian incorrectly. I haven’t had a problem. Larian was gracious enough to have Xbox user use THEIR servers to save up to 10 Saves! It’s working - need to WAIT for ALL saves to Sync before shutting down the game.
@@ThatAnxiousGamer - What kind of issues? Your having issues with Save files deleting on PC? I heard this was an Xbox issue. Never heard of PC users losing their saves?! But Larian put out a statement that said Xbox will be having this fixed by Jan 16th (yesterday). They are supposed to be rolling it out as an Xbox update. I have a screenshot of the statement but can’t load it here. Sure there might be other issues on other platforms, but the biggest one was people losing there Saves on Xbox.

There’s a lot of ‘useless’ items like the blindness ring to feed gale. Just hold on to everything.

I vote an expansion for Karlach. By the far the best companion.
